If anything, you could use multiple connected phones as a wireless screen or something... but the thing is, the feature is pretty damn useless. The only time you'd ever have this many phones at hand is when you are together with friends- which usually means outside- where you can't align them like that! And inside you'd have real screens, which would prolly be a lot cheaper than just one of those.

Actually it's quite easy, they just have to handle the size of the contact.

When you hold it, the surface you touch is greater so all actions are canceled.

When you touch only with the tip of the finger, the touched surface is very small so an action is registered.

I'm pretty sure our chinese friend thought of that already.

Depending on the size of the contact seems like a pretty faulty approach to me. Means I can't hold it between thumb and index finger without the phone going apeshit.

Not really.

It's very unlikely that someone holds the phone with only the tip of two fingers.

For example I hold it with all fingers when looking at something and in my palm when operating the touchscreen with my thumb.

The important thing is for the phone to support multitouch (should be able to register every touch, even if there are ten and then drop the ones that seem accidental).

Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

This is why I think Android will be even bigger than it is today in the near future, it's based off the Linux OS enabling developers to design UI's that will be groundbreaking (a little bit like the Android MIUI ROM [youtube it if you haven't seen]).

Thank Google for making their OS as open as it is, allowing for people like this Chinese student to design and develop a UI for a completely new phone concept that looks divine.
