Also, the reverb on the vocals. God damn. I feel as though this is the sound Coheed should have in 2011...but a sort of revival of that sound. Maybe add some electronic elements or whatnot. Clearly they were experimenting on YotBR with odd guitar pedals and whatnot, but god DAMN does that album blow.

Year of the Black Rainbow is a good album, but when you hear this stuff, the simplicity of the effects and the atmosphere, you realize what a departure from true greatness YotBR is (and NWFT to a degree). Early Coheed and Shabutie had a good mix of slow and quiet, it felt more narrative and lyrical. YotBR is loud, fast, and never really quiet. Or narrative either. And overproduced. Not a moment in that album could I appreciate the bass, the vocals, or guitar.

Nope, Josh had a very bad addiction to heroine and couldnt leave his house onw day when they were leaving to go on tour. And he just never cam back. Mic was addicted to OxyContin and attempted suicide, he went to rehab and recovered and has been good and sober for a while now.

josh is a great drummer but so is Chris. I saw them live at ASU earlier this month and he was fucking incredible. As for being famous making them worse, it's possible but it doesn't always happen and Claudio at least is insanely dedicated to the music.

Awesome slow song. There best work in my opinion was when they were shabutie and during SSTB as Coheed and Cambria. Then again most of their songs on SSTB werer writen when they were Shabutie. Awesome band, awesome music, there music has so much emotion in it that I get goosebumps and shivers down my back when ever i listen to any of thier songs.
