Though it does bring up a key point: that for christians, non-believers are a part of a doomed tribe destined for perdition, rather than being mad up of individuals and groups with their own varying (and/or overlapping) sets of reasoning and in philosophical orientations; for the believer, atheists are just in unjustified rebellion against god, nothing more... and this makes any discussion with christians extremely antagonistic.
The old question of "where did the universe come from?" - Do you have a time machine that can go back a few billion years (or trillion or more?) - and what if you went back one second before the universe existed... bla bla bla! Who cares? As if the answer to that question even matters! Why should it matter? People act as if the answer to that question is going to shed some light on something important. No, my friends.... it doesn't really matter. What matters is the here and now.
When I see people like the nonsensical theist quoted here, I can't help but wonder why they aren't legally certified crazy, locked away for the protection of society. Then I remember that large chunks of society are dominated by equally crazy people.
