But in most first world countries slavery ended in the 17th, 18th or 19th century. the real tragedy is that people are still mad about it today. there are countries in Africa to this day that have estimated 8% slavery population, only having been banned in 2003. throughout the 20th century and even into the 21st century Africans have had slaves. sad
