I personally love the fillers every 8 episodes or so because he tends to be involved throughout the majority of them. Not everyone has to be a total drama queen when voice acting. The Japanese lack the letter L, and in the manga it's called Komlin, so Komlin would be the official translation, and correct pronounciation of the name - if the Japanese had the letter L.

Also, for the L arguments, in the Japanese Death Note it's pronounced 'Eru'

Well in the Japanese of Death Note, Raito is prononced Rai-to. That still doesn't change the fact. In Japan L is R and the L is rarely prononced in Japanese words. Even L sounds like R in the Japanese version of Death Note so Komurin becomes Komulin here. Simple as that.
