  • Fact is that truth is out there, and lot of us just don't see it, but if u ask and seek the truth as it was the most precious thing it will be revealed to you. You should then be able to find knowledge and the fear of God.

  • @PazanIzRussii Why is the fear of God a desirable outcome? God, that which we cannot understand yet are forced to love on the threat of eternal damnation, expects us to fear him yet his overall message claims to be Love? Your life is aimed at such a murky, and misguided proposal.

  • @aWinkler2010 well the bible says the fear of god is begining of wisdom, the reason one should fear god is bc everyone is a sinner n shud turn away from their sins while he can, the fear of god is what makes u stop sinnin, if u don fear n don humble yoself before god then u don love him, n could care less, therfore u b condemned.

  • @PazanIzRussii Are you trolling...?

"the fear of God is what makes [you] stop [sinning]" - So, if God didn't ask you to fear him, you would be a sinner since there's apparently no other reason to abstain from immoral behavior? Are you so devoid of natural human morality and basic reasoning that you can't follow the Golden Rule? Speak for yourself in these matters, since I don't fear God nor do I believe in the idea of one, yet I'm determined to live a moral life without being a thought-slave. :)

  • 1. No.

    2. I have made this study my life's work. The vast hours I've put into it are incalculable.

    3. God is not of the Bible, the Bible is of God, and God never uses violence.

    4. Heaven is not mine, it is God's, and I have no need to change anyone's mind -- the world is already on my side (more than 98%).

    5. I'd think, "Oh no!" What a dumb question.

  • @1GodOnlyOne - wow... #3.. "God never uses violence"

Why does he prescribe eternal suffering for those who don't accept Christ?

  • 1. My parents are christian and I went to church growing up, but I wasn't a christian until I was old enough to make the choice to live for God which wasn't til I was about 14 or 15.

    2. It's kinda funny but the first time I even heard of such a thing as another religion was when I was 12 lol. so no I wouldn't say I have spent alot of time studying other religions.

    3. First of all, during the time of the flood was before Jesus's time. (Old Testiment) continued...

  • Yadda, Yadda, its tooo obvious that there is a creater ..religious or not, We all know it in some form or another. Its hard NOT to bash a religion or a believer because of THEIR interpretation of it but please... let religion rule itself and let your common sense reach truth...

  • 1: no

2: i went to a christian college and we have studied many other religions

3: He's the creator, so He has the right to take away whatever He so chooses

4: i don't try to convince people what i believe. it's just not possible. you give them what they need to hear and it's up to the person to believe it or not. your perspective is your reality.

5:if there really is an eternal damnation, then you're acknowledging that there is a God. I believe God is justicifiable

  • 1. No

    2. Who knows - dopey question

    3. He spoke directly to people and they did not listen, time and time again. He gives us choices - are you saying that's bad? Christ died to pay the debt we owe.

    4. Your belief or disbelief cannot have any effect on my destiny

    5. If I am wrong, I will be dead and that will be the end of me. What if you are wrong and there is a hell and a heaven. What then? But it's not about being right or wrong. It is about knowing God or not knowing Him.

    OK.

  • Answer to #4: If you don't believe in God, and I do, I will go to heaven and you will not. The end. Just because you are going to hell doesn't mean you're dragging me down with you.

  • 4. Is a bad question, it comes down to a personal thing. Yeah we can have different sides to something but God cares for people individually.

    5. Well it comes down to knowing a question of how we know of faith is right? What makes christianity different is the divine truth that the key person in our religion (Jesus) rose again. So that gives us a hope to heaven or the afterlife. But if it aint the right one, we are too late to say arent we?

  • 1. I became a christian at 14 but had the young influence, didnt care for a while until i became one.

    2. Through talks with others I have learnt more about the Quran and where it comes from.

    3. There is a difference between the two examples. the Old testament was a show for Justice, man messed up and wanted to save an obedient man from this justice. New testament shows that yes we should of paid the price again, but God gave what he have to show his love and grace to all.

  • question number 3 , the preist used that to treathen the people to obey the ''god''

to get power over them fear = easy manipulation

  • Why do you make it your goal to ridicule Christians?

It proves you are just as low as the ignorant theists who ridicule infidels and make it their objective to convert them.

  • @xXSparky117Xx i personally like studying the christian mind and i like reading the answers

even if i totally disagree i don't argue with them(on this vid:D), cause they just answered the questions instead of making a big ass comment saying that we're going to hell for this, i'm just curious

so these questions aren't really making fun of christians, just educational for non christians

  • 1. I am a christian

    2. I have read the philosophies of Islam, Taoism, Buddhism

    3. Well before Jesus God was very vengeful. I guess God sent the flood because he got tired of evil people. And Jesus served as the ultimate sacrifice. Since they used sacrifices to gain forgiveness. Plus people were violent back then. why should the Jews be any different? T

    4. Frankly, I feel that i have no responsibility for anyone but myself.

    5. Is it too late to change side?

  • Christianity,

A belief that a cosmic jewish zombie who fathered

himself? Can make you live forever, if you symbolically eat his flesh,

drink his blood and telepathically tell him, you accept him as your

...master so he can remove an evil from your soul that was present in all

humanity because a Rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat

    from a magical tree, Hmmm?

  • All great points. I liked 4 the best.

  • @GunnerLpercher

You're talkin bout the real picture?

  • 4. It says in the bible that the ONLY way to get into Heaven is to beleive that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and that he is our Savior. There is not other way.

    5. I'm not sure how to answer this question because i know that I will get into heaven so a answer to the question doesnt come to mind. Sorry.

hope you understand my answers lol.

  • not want to give up their sin and were doing sins that God saw as a abomination. and I honestly think that with how stubbern people are they would still have rebeled against him. He sent Jesus to die for our sins because he knows that humans are not perfect and will make mistakes, back then you had to sacrifice a goat, lamb, bird, or some other animal to ask for forgiveness. He gave his ONLY begotten son to die for so we could live a life without worry and to know that we are loved.

  • 1. The family I was born into was Christian but they never really talked about it. So I came to become a Christian by my own choice and my own research and knowledge of it.

    2. No, I have not spent any time reading any other religious books, because to me I guess it would have been a waste of time for me but i respect others and their own choices.

    3. Well back in those days God did seem to communicate with the world through people he chose to speak to & through. People who died in the flood did

  • I thought these questions were very good and was very happy of your sincerity and gentleness in asking them, so I'll answer in the same manner. Thanks for sparking some thought!

    1. I was raised Christian. Because I believe God is sovereign and that He choses those He's redeemed before the foundation of the world, He still would have saved me had I been raised in a Muslim society. There are ex-Muslim Christians, and converts from other religions to Christianity.

  • 3) If the wages of sin is death as God defined it, then maybe unlike us as humans, God sticks to His word. Jesus had to die as a substitute on the cross because He took on the punishment (death) but He defeated death and provides a free way out for anyone who would except His love gift to mankind.

  • 1) I do come from a background tradition of Christianity, but sadly many miss the mark of a relationship and replace with a religion.

    2) Yes, I have applied apologetics to other ones.

  • @NiggaNate777 4) I think you maybe looking at this in a self preserving view and not in the notion that out of love, if a Christian believes what He believes He should share what He believes is to come. The Christian is guranteed heaven so what you do has no effect. The Christian simply wants to see you in heaven also

  • I love relligious people.. you know. They steal all the land, kill all people that in there way... and after that throw a book to your face with cool quotes like:"thou shall not kill, thou shall not steal..."

Thou should keep your relligion to yourself - George Carlin

  • @MarijnStevens Is it fair or logical to paint all Christians with the same wide brush you paint people who might claim Christianity but in fact live far from its teachings?

I guess George would support leaving people alone who are speeding down the road toward a washed out bridge too.

  • Quick ?, if there is a true and loving god, why would he punish us for living the life with choice, the thing he gave us.

  • @poker454 Its your choice. Why would you choose a path ending in punishment? You send yourself there. It's not like the outcome is uncertain. With Jesus, eternal life and peace. Without Jesus, eternal death. I have met many who acknowledge they prefer hell to what they think they understand about God. Too bad they can't be bothered to get the real picture.

  • @poker454 there is no punishment if we Beleive in Jesus Christ. He just isnt gonna hand it to us. Its like giving a child everything it wants but in the end the child will be spoiled, ungrateful, and learned nothing in its entire child good. We must choose to beleive in him, he doesnt force himself unto us, just because people on this earth do it doesnt mean he does. No human is perfect, but others choice the easy way out instead of the wiser one. Life is full of choices the PERSON chooses.

  • 5 What would be my first thought if I had the wrong God? Why is there so much misleading evidence? I ask a similar question of the atheists and the answer is consistent. They claim no evidence. There is plenty of evidence but they cant find it for the same reason a bank robber cant find a policeman.

  • I hear that analogy all the time, the only problem is everyone who believes in a god claims this. Surely not every god can be real. Just as Christians say that their god is real, Hindu's can also make the same claim based on similar "Evidence"

  • Indeed but the God of the bible is the only one to provide evidence of His existence and validate His holy book by including filfilled prophecy in it.

  • 4a It is not only about believers getting into heaven but about what manner of world we have to live in. Why are your rights more important than mine? Why do I have to put up with homosexuals kissing in public but you can get the law to remove a crucifix from public view? Why does my expression of belief affect your ability to go to hell as you choose?

  • 4 On a personal level your beliefs do not affect me. Why would the public expression of mine affect you? They dont but my rights are curtailed to make sure you are not offended.

When mention of God was taken out of the public square the US began a downward spiral. We have been desensitized to sinful behavior so that we tend to accept sin with little question and my descendants may be much less likely to believe in part because of the depravity exhibited by society.

  • Ehh, I guess. If you look back at American history we have never been a decent society. I mean, we killed Indians, Kept slaves, Burned women at the stake and fought numerous wars over and over. So to say things are worse now without god is kind of silly.

  • Totally mischaracterized our history. Today instead of those things, we have killed over 45,000,000 of our own innocent people by abortion. We kill each other all the time and commit crimes at a steady pace. Just look at the number of people in jail in spite of early release programs to relieve overcrowding. Things are indeed much much worse since they took prayer and the ten commandments out of schools.

  • 3a Your point is self defeating. People chose to ignore the message after God wiped out all but a few. Why would they pay attention to an account of God speaking from the clouds told by their great grandparents?

  • Why would a god who had the foresight to have to send himself(Jesus) to die have to flood the earth in the first place. Why would we pay attention to the accounts of a God told by random prophets thousands of years ago? It's the same thing

  • Because all people have free will and can choose to disobey. In the flood all but a few did and not just a little.

The prophets in the bible were not random but chosen by God. He gave them prophecies and some miracles to validate they were speaking for Him. Any prophet not 100% accurate was killed. So we know they were delivering the word of God most of which is relevant still. Anyone can verify them so they are not the same as legends or folk tales which are all other religions have.

  • @PathofReason It's going to sound really confusing, but we as humans really can't explain why God does all of the things he does. That's where faith comes in. You either trust in him, or you don't. God doesn't explain, and its too big of a concept for us as humans to grasp. God really isn't as strict or mean as people say. You don't have to go to church or be perfect. Just be the best person you can be and do right anyway. Hope that didn't sound weird :P

  • 3 God does not use violence so much to get His point across but to render judgment or to accomplish things that must be done. He judged the world in the flood and will do so again in the end times but with more survivors.

The natural atheist tendency is to place too much emphasis on deaths as though those people would still be alive if God had not killed them or as though death is the worst thing that can happen. You will live forever but the question is will you enjoy the part after you die?

  • 2a The Quran, book of Mormon or any other holy book have nothing to compare in quantity, quality, or consistency to the prophecies in the bible. Much has been written by lifelong scholars on the unworthiness of these books. The prophecies are validation that the bible has divine input and the God it reveals is truly God.

  • The new testament was written to fulfill the old. The problem is, Any Jew will tell you that Christians are WAY off the mark on the Messiah.

  • There are thousands of Jews who are Christian. It is clear that Jews living at the time did not deny the miracles of Jesus but tried to say they were of satan. They have to deal with the hundreds of prophecies telling about the Messiah that are all fulfilled in Jesus and no one else. Not to mention the resurrection witnessed by thousands of Jews who became Christian at the time.

  • @PathofReason Ask any Christian and we will tell you that Jews are WAY off the mark on the messiah. Who do you think Jesus was if you dont believe he was the messiah?

  • @GunneLPercher the question is have u researched other religions or not. if not how can u say that its wrong? and bible was written several hundred years after jesus died by roman imperator to control the spiting rome.after rome has crashed religion was suppressing all kinds of sciences in dark ages, religion is the caused of biggest wars in human history especially christianity, religion doesent help it actually does the opposite.

  • @lauris15151 Yes I have looked into how other religions compare. You can discard those claiming a created god or creation of the universe using preexisting matter on logical grounds. Any remaining can ve discarded by failing to include objectively verifiable fulfilled prophecy in their 'holy' books as the bible does.

You are completely wrong about the origin of the bible. Religious war are nothing compared to the over 100 million murdered by atheist governments in the last century.

  • @GunneLPercher actually statistically there was more people killed in crusades etc. coz there was less people in proportion so religion has killed more

  • @lauris15151 You are Invalidly switching to percentage instead of actual numbers. If you have reliable data on the numbers killed and the world population at the time I'd like to see it. You also choose to lump all religion together. I only defend Christianity. Muslims kill in the name of religion every day but Christians do not barring some mental disorder.

  • 2 Because I am challenged by atheists claiming all sorts of things about other religions I do spend time investigating those claims. Any claimant to godhood who was created or used preexisting matter to create the universe is excluded on logical grounds. Remaining ones are examined for fulfilled prophecy and all but the Judaeo-Christian one has no significant fulfilled prophecies. PM for link.

  • 1 I was raised with a Christian background but did not actually commit until about 20. If I had been raised in another religion and I examined it as closely as I have Christianity, I would still have ended up Christian because of the objectively verifiable differences.

  • Then why are thier more Muslims in the world than Christians? Why do thy miss the mark?

  • A wrong statistic. check wikkipedia for "list of religious populations".

    Pointless anyway.

Islam's founder did no miracles and gave no convincing prophecies to indicate he was speaking for God. While they point to scientific knowledge before its time, that knowledge is also held by demons so it is not evidence for divine inspiration as telling of future events with accuracy and consistency is.

  • @PathofReason There are not more Muslims in the world than Christians. Around 2.1 Billion who proclaim to be Christian. Around 1.7 Billion who proclaim to be muslim. Now if we looked at the doctrines of both and compared them to the actual lives of the people then you could cut both of those numbers by about 70%. Learned that in a religion class that im taking this semester.

  • @GunneLPercher actually there aren't more muslims in the world than Christians, also you must take into account that many many countless muslims are forced to be in this religion otherwise they are jailed or even worse, killed.

  • @NiggaNate777 Correct.

  • 1. hell no.

    2. a lot. i was born a Catholic and then converted to Judaism because i believe the bible was written by someone tripping on heroin.

    3. he doesnt. just cuz christains say he does, doesnt mean he does. i believe there is a god, but he works within the laws of nature and is there for comfort and sometimes guidence.

    4. it wont. when someone dies, they just fail to maintain homeostasis. heaven is a make-believe story to make kids do their chores.

    5. "FUUUUUUUCK!!!!!" lol XD

  • 1. Yes

    2. I spent some time a while ago, some made sense like Hinduism but I figured there was too much evidence for Christianity already.

    3. Much of the Old Testiment wasn't God kliling as much as it was his people killing on the behalf of trying to serve God to the best of there ability, since having no example how to act the thought that was the way to serve him. But the reason for flooding Earth (it actually was only the middle east, being that was their whole world) he had to eliminate...

  • ... all the wicked Humans in the area, which was about everyone except Noahs family.( Also much of the old testiment is actually fiction, we really can't tell what is fact or fiction).

The reason for Jesus however was different. The first reason is that the Jews who were killing prostitutes and immoral people needed an example of what to act like, so Jesus dying on the cross sent the message not to kill the immoral, but even go to the lengths of dying to save them...

  • ... Also he had to show that he was God, and that only God could rie from the dead without someone reviving him, just incase people thought his previous miracle were just clever tricks. The third reason was to show that there was infact a life after death and that you must follow him to receive a happy eternal life.

    4. We combat athiesm to try to save the Athiests from Hell. The other reasons are to try to have a moral, religous society.

    5. "Oh crap, I should have been Muslim."

  • Answer to Question 5.

    FUCK MY LIFE!!!!

  • ..you cannot have good grounds for believing any of the things you believe; you certainly cannot know them.

And that is it. As I said it is not my view but that does NOT mean it is not valid and it certainly does not mean it is not true.

  • Yet in the first case most of the person's beliefs may be true (if he believes, say, that he is walking down the street, or eating ice-cream); in the latter case they are false. Since, the argument says, you cannot know whether you are a brain in a vat, then you cannot know whether most of your beliefs might be completely false. Since, in principle, it is impossible to rule out your being a brain in a vat,...

  • The simplest use of brain-in-a-vat scenarios is as an argument for philosophical skepticism and Solipsism. A simple version of this runs as follows: Since the brain in a vat gives and receives the exact same impulses as it would if it were in a skull, and since these are its only way of interacting with its environment, then it is not possible to tell, from the perspective of that brain, whether it is in a skull or a vat.

  • In 1611 the word "hell" just meant "A covering"!!

Oh how things change! Now,...all of a sudden, it means this nasty wicked place that "Christians" WANT to send NON-Believers to!!!!

They will tell you that they don't want to, but if a person is a NON-Believer, then YES THEY DO, want to send them there!

They want a crack at their souls, but if they cannot budge them,...off they go to a place of eternal TORTURE that God never mentions!

It is in the bible but NOT THE WORD OF GOD!!

  • And there is a HUGE difference between the Word of God and the Bible.

If anyone says different,...they are a LIAR!!!! And the TRUTH is NOT IN THEM!!

The Pharisees where berated by Jesus for "Cutting off the Kingdom of Heaven to men", How much more will Jesus the Christ, Berate modern day Pharisees for not only cutting off the Kingdom,..but for spreading filth and Trash about what our Heavenly Father will do to people who do not YET believe??!!???

  • what the "word of god" & "the bible" have in common is that neither can be proven or demonstrated.

  • Well you are absolutely entitled to your opinion, but think on this, if you would: "What in life, if anything at all, CAN be proven??"

If I were to say that I am God or some kind of Superior being and this life that I live is just a dream OR a Journey that I have chosen to go on, How could you ever "Prove" me incorrect??

By what measure could you say that I am wrong?

The way I see things, there is very little, if anything that can be proven to be absolutely true!

Hence the Real need for God.

  • "What in life, if anything at all, CAN be proven??"

    i can prove I am 5'10 & have a penis.

"If I were to say that I am God... How could you ever "Prove" me incorrect?"

Id tie you to the tracks of a speeding train. If your body parts end up scattered all over the place, I'm pretty sureyoure not god.

Dimwit questions will recieve dimwit answers

  • You don't read a lot of Sci-Fi or watch many movies do you.

Google "The brain in the vat", and you will see the second entry is from Wikipedia, that will explain a theory that HAS fostered MANY Sci-Fi stories, theories and movies, such as Total Recall with Arnold Schwarzenegger and especially the movie "The Matrix. These movies are all a spin off of the brain in the vat theory.

My idea (Which is really NOT mine) is not such a Dimwit question in the first place, since it has made millions!

  • "You don't read a lot of Sci-Fi or watch many movies do you[?]"

No, I don't. I don't get my perceptions from fucking fiction LOL. And yes, asking "can we prove anything?" is a dimwit question, and its even more of a dimwit question when you laughably correlate the vadility of your question based on the teachings of sci-fi movies. This is not a movie. We're talking about reality, and here you are quoting Total Recall & the fucking Matrix. I cant take you seriously.

  • Your missing my point. It is NOT that I back up my philosophy with Sci-Fi. It is that Movies have been made BECAUSE of the philosophical idea such as the one called "Brain in the Vat".

This is NOT some idea that someone just "Spit out" one day because they were bored. It is a very respected ideology.

(I do not even believe in it), but because I do not believe in it, does not make it,.. not VALID!

I will clip a small bit of the idea to the next post.

  • No, I'm sure youre missing the point. The origin of this conversation was based on me stating the "word of god" & the bible have the same LACK of evidence. You asked "What in life, if anything at all, CAN be proven??" then you explained a sci-fi ideology as if it in anyway held the slightest vadility to support your claim. I dont care about what fucking movies Arnold & Keanu's starred in, things CAN be proven. Its a poor attempt to latch onto a far out philosophy protect the "word of god" bllsht

  • to get to the meat of things, it is is FACT things can be proven, but not the word of god. is there any valid reason to believe such a claim while dismissing all other god(s) claims?

  • First off I am NOT protecting the Word of God. I have No need to.

The fact that you do not believe in God is your business and NOT mine. I really don't care what you believe.

You should believe what feels right to you and I would NEVER try to convert you or anybody else.

Although I know there are those pain in the azz "Christians" that claim to love you and then in the next breath, tell you how if you do not believe as they do, your butt will fry in a pagan hell.

I am NOT ONE of them!

  • "...I am NOT protecting the Word of God". No, but youre making a claim. Why would you bother making a claim if you didnt feel the need to demonstrate evidence to support it? Whyd you comment? Thats like me saying I fucked 23 women last night & expect people to take my word for it. Conversations & claims dont work that way. & if you cant support your claim, dont get upset when someone wipes their ass with it.

"You should believe what feels right to you"

-No I should believe what I find as true

  • Is there any way to PROVE the bible?

    NO!!!! Not by humans!

Are there certain facts that may draw a person closer to believing in a God, from reading the Word of God? Yes, I believe so, but I CANNOT prove it.

And I feel NO need to.

But I wish you a very happy and fulfilling life.

I hope you find your truth.

    Peace to you and yours.

  • Lol yes it is our opinion but just the same opinion as the statement faries don't exist there is no evidence for faries or your god can we say 100% God doesn't exist no because to do that we would have to test every piece of matter in the universe. But we apply the same thing to mytholgical creatures could they exist ... Yes!!! But is it likely no so we are going to base our life on the assumption that there is no god.

  • Because your the one making the claim so if you want to push you beliefs on other people and want them to believe you need to provide the evidence , most atheist are fine with people believing in god its only when your religion threatens free speech and education of young minds do we start to get concerned , god doesn't belong in the government and it doesn't belong in schools.

  • I am not pushing my beliefs on anyone!

I NEVER push my faith on another person.

I don't know where you get that idea from.

I agree with you that SOME (Probably MOST Mainstream Christians) PUSH their Faith onto "Others", but it is only because they do not want you to go to their hell.

Well, I do NOT believe in such a hell and NEVER try to convert ANYONE!

  • Man, people don't need religion to be spiritual. so many people just seem to dawdle on, being 'Christian' and thinking that putting faith in something else will help them out. I used to be a Christian, the only fucking thing I prayed for was a happy family. That so-called god never did a damn thing for me! xD the only time things actually changed was when i put faith into MYSELF. PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO DO THAT. :l but most people just wanna be lead.

  • I have given good amounts of time to many religions. Including reading books like the Satanic Bible.

I don't know what would have happened if I was brought up,...say, Muslim, but If I was and I remained Muslim, that is what God's plan for my life would have been.

The bottom line is this: "No matter what YOU or I do, God's WILL will be done"

We cannot change the will of God, and we cannot go against anything that God has foreseen to come to pass.

It is just the way things are.

  • So basically we have no freewill is what you are saying no matter what we choose to do god has chosen our path out anyways so every decision we make is really god's decision so in your perspective "gods plan" for me was to be an atheist and if that is true " god" is the one sending me to hell , and no matter what choices I make his plan was for me to be an atheist and get sent to hell , nice logic? lol

  • You had it for a bit there, then ya kind of lost it.

We ALL make CHOICES, but as for "Free Will", there is NONE.

Now we make choices everyday. Like say you eat a banana for breakfast. God KNEW it, but you choose it! Was it "FREE"?? Of course not. You had to pay for the banana and you didn't have the choice of a Mango instead did you??

But the MOST IMPORTANT thing you have to remember is.....THERE IS NO PAGAN HELL!!

That is from other pagan religions that crept into Christianity.

  • Jesus NOR any of the Apostles ever wrote or spoke the word "hell"!

The mentioned Gehenna, Sheol, Hades, Tatarus (Tataroos) and the Lake of Fire, but NEVER a hell.

And it is NOT just semantics either, because if someone tries to say that you are going to go to a place of ETERNAL TORTURE, they should be able to NAME the place that you are going to.

Don't you think that that is important???

Let me tell you brother, THEY have LIED to the BOTH of US!!!

    There is NO HELL!

  • So NO,......you do NOT GO TO HELL!!!!!!

Just so you understand my position!

  • Yes I never said anything abou Hell and even after all the bullshit you just spewed out of your mouth. My position still stands and untouched by your garbage. If god created past , present, and future , he created us and our minds than he has already instilled our choices in us before he created us thats what you are saying so shut the fuck up you have no idea what your talking about. Religion is not something that needs to be studied it is not complex, its something we need to get rid of.

  • kamidmen08 Says: "so in your perspective "gods plan" for me was to be an atheist and if that is true " god" is the one sending me to hell"

    REALLY???

It looks like you did mention "hell"!

You know, I don't know where you live and I don't care, but I live in the USA and where I come from, we have something called "Free Speech". (That is not free either)

So no I will not "SHUT UP"!

It just shows what an ignorant Jerk you are to everyone else.

  • Yes your right i mentioned "Hell" but that was not the topic as you made it out to be. Your just trying to pick and choose what you want to make me look stupid you didn't stay on topic you just spewed a bunch of shit and then expected me to address all of it ? I never said that you couldn't state you opinion but just because you can have opinion doesn't mean its correct and I explained why your opinion was not correct. If anyone is ignorant here it would definatly have to be you.

  • 3) (Cont) With that being said, I believe ALL that God plans and allows (Including violence) is done so that WE can Learn. Hence the tree of the knowledge of Evil and GOOD!

    4) Everyone EVENTUALLY gets to be with God and inherits the Kingdom of heaven. So, in NO WAY does what YOU do effect what ULTIMATELY happens to me.

    5) I would say: "Whoops! Sorry God, I did my best to understand you, but I guess I messed up.

But as for this hell notion. There is No pagan hell.

  • 1) Yes, Catholic. Probably would have been raised as I was brought up (If Muslim, then thats what I may have been.)

    2) As much time as possible. I have read the I-Ching, Koran, Torah, Taoist literature, etc., etc.

    3) It is hard to always understand why God does ALL that he does, But I would NOT limit the "violent means" to JUST things in the bible.

God is the God of EVERYTHING, so God is accountable for EVERY BIT of violence in the World.

  • Religion is not reasonable. All you can do is tease the reason people have picked up and see if it can overpower the religion they have picked up.

Instead of just teasing whatever reason they have, what could work even better would be to bolster and train it. This is why, overwhelmingly, people who understand the world (i.e. scientists) manage to raise themselves up out of religions.

Unfortunately science is losing, politically, to superstitious influences. Are we facing another dark ages?

  • dude, did you mean to have a hooka in your vid?

  • Faith is not reasonable.

While I don't think you meant to really change anyone's mind, I think that most people don't normally have their ideas challenged, which is what I think you're trying to do here.

  • On the contrary, the proof of God is all around you! You do however have your statement correct that you cannot prove that he doesn't.

Undoubtedly you are in search of God or you would not be asking these questions.

In this search, if you are sincerely searching for your answers, then ask Jesus to come into your heart.

He will lift the veils that cloud your heart and reveal the truth to you.

The time will come that every knee shall bow and confess that, Jesus Christ is Lord!

  • ****In my opinion****

    1. Yes, I was born in the bible belt and everyone I knew was christian. [how ever, I no longer am, I just felt like answering]

    2. I dabble around when I can. I find it interesting.

    3. I think it was a way to scare non-believers and make them convert.

    4. I wouldn't know. To each his own, an harm ye none do what ye will.

    5. Hopefully the "punishment" for having a different opinion wont suck too badly?

  • #5

Now this one makes no sense to anyone who is a believer.

God will not make you believe His word, then at the very last minute, tell you that you were wrong, that would make Him a liar, and God does not lie.

The Bible is the word of Truth, and Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

You are coming with questions that are from a confused mind, because an understanding mind does not consider these factors.

  • #4

You disbelief will not have any effect whatsoever in my gaining access into Heaven.

Faith is the key to your entry.

Faith is the evidence of things not yet seen, and the substance of things yet hoped for.

In other words, you can be as nice to everyone as you want, give to every charity in the world, visit all the sick people and feed all the hungry, but, if you deny that Jesus Christ is the living Son of God, and that He died for your sins, then you have done all for no purpose .

  • #3

Also, you think it was drastic for God to let his Son be killed.

Yes, this was a very drastic move, but it was done in love of mankind.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believesth in Him, would not perish, but have everlasting Life.

God loves you, but He does not love the ways of men.

God loves truth and purity and men continually have to ask for forgivness because our rightousness is as filthy rags to Him.

There is none good, not one!

  • #3

Man, given to go his own path, tends to reject God totally, as was the case with Noah, Sodam and Gomorrah, and other areas in the Bible as well as today.Rebellion against God will lead to a tragic end.

The fool has said in his heart that there is no God, so understandably violence would be their end also.

  • #2.

I have looked into other religions, but not to become of thier belief, but because I wanted to see why their belief was so different and to understand.

The Bible is Gods word and given to man so that he can understand not only how he needs to live, but also to help his Spiritual body grow.

A lot of people do not understand that you are made up of two parts, body and Spirit.

The Spiritual part is the part of you that will live eternally, somewhere, and God's word is your guide.

  • As far as Luck, well, you just have no understanding.

I do not pray to God for a new car, or for that matter, worldly matters.

    He takes care of me.

He keeps me from the snares of the devil, and keeps me in good health.

He provides comfort for me when anything drastic occurs.

He is my sword and my shield.

My prayers are for others mainly, and he only needs to be asked once when I do have a need, because my God is real, his ear is not deaf, and his memory is solid.

    He hears me and listens.

  • Well, I am going to answer your questions 1 at a time which I believe will give some time for me to have space to write.

    #1.

I am a Christian, by faith, in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Without Christ then how can you be a Christ ian?

To be a Christian, you have to believe that Christ gave his life willingly for you, to save your soul from eternal damnation.

You have to accept it, as a gift.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock, and if any man open, then I will come and and sup with him.

  • That doesn't really answer his question. I think he meant that if you placed yourself in a different mindset/belief/religion, would you still choose to be a Christian?

  • I was once an unbeliever myself. My questions were much the same approach, where I thought they were intelligent and appropriat, but I have found that , like Paul says in the Bible, I count all knowledge but naught, save for the knowledge that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

He is the Truth, and will reveal to you everything that you truly search for, if you are faithful to Him.

Without Him, you can never know the truth!

  • You can't prove that god exists, but i can't prove he doesn't.

However, if there is a god, I can prove that he doesn't do anything. At all. If anything good has happened to you from praying, that is called luck. There are people who pray much harder than you, and still get nothing out of it. It has been proven.

So, I'm not sure if there's a god, but I'm sure he doesn't do squat. What does that make me?

  • I can prove that God does exist!

    First, Repent!

Turn away from your wicked ways, and then call on God to save you, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.

You cannot ever prove that God doesn't do anything, that is not true.

God helps his Children, the believers.

He gives you a choice to choose Him or Satan.

If you choose to follow Satan, then you will believe all his lies and be forever lost.

So, Believe or unbelieve, positive or negative, God is the Positive answer!

  • I still fail to see your proof just stating that God does this and he does that is not proof just because you say he's real does not make it so ?

  • Hi I'm not religious but here ya go

    1) I was raised Pagan.

    2) I am very interested in and have researched many other religions.

    3) I think the time period was much more violent than ours and they needed an excuse to fight the non christians.

    4) Other religions are fine If thats what gets you off by all means follow it, just don't shove it down my throat.

    5) I have come to terms with the fact that I have NO idea about what happens after death I shall be interested to find out after I die.

  • This video is pathetic. You gave yourself the name PathofReason and your questions are so weak; they are subjective and are offensive instead of using true reason and logic. Ad hominem - a logistician would know that term, it means you think that you can make a logical argument by attacking the authority, the authority being God and the Church. Believe in God, you cannot argue otherwise. This is the only logical and reasonable choice.

  • Ummm no, believing in a made up thing is not a logical or reasonable choice. I mean is it logical to believe in Unicorns?

  • The further you go from earth, the more you find the infinity of space, and within cells there is the same. In physics, scientists explain that the world is in increasing disorder, yet evolution expects people to think that a big bang caused matter which evolve into man, whose cells are as complex as the infinity of space. If scientists admit that there is order to matter, then you immediately confirm the existence of intelligence in the design of the universe and in man.

  • 5) The bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit, which is both God and Jesus, so how can God say that Muslim was the right religion, when they dont even follow what is written in the Qur'an, (killing) and they always pray facing Mecca the holy city, where Muhammed was born, i thought God was everywhere, to me Muslims seem to worship Muhammed as well as Allah. Muslim is just a spin off of Christianity.

  • I was raised Christian then I went the other way and was evil very evil. Then after my life was so messed up I was going to kill myself I called out to Jesus to help me and he did and he has been helping me ever since. The whole thing about God is for us to love.We love God and we love people. Here is the real truth You can't understand God unless he allows it and he only allows it if you truly desire to know the truth. He know if your selfless or if you have other motives.Give Jesus a chance

  • i want to ask u a qustion and ill anwser ur y do u only put this to us christians we have our believe and u have urs but we dont put downs ur and u have thright to speach but so do we

    1) no not all my friend r christian and yes i was rased one 2) ya i have 3) cause we dont lisen so he has to be hard just like a perant 4) it doesnt have anything to do wit it 5) say u were wrong in wat u belevie what would happen with u we beleve what we think is right and so do u nothing is wrong with that

  • 4. Has no affect whatsoever. We as Christian are commanded to give an answer for the hope that we have (gospel), as well as warning of the coming judgement. I can't convince anyone of anything, but I can proclaim the truth, where it is up to the non-believer to respond.

    5. What a frightfull thought. This is why Christians are commanded to share the truth of the gospel to all the world.

    Thanks for the questions!!!

  • 3. During the time of the flood, He saw the nations in irrepairable preverse state. It was soo bad that He was sorry that He made mankind. He is God, so He can do anything He wants.

He didn't have Jesus killed. Jesus died out of obedience to the Father. Completely voluntary.

  • Hi PathofReason,

Thanks for the questions and your respectfull approach!

    1. I was raised to be religous, but it wasn't till I was 21 that I became a disciple of Jesus Christ.

    2. Absolutely, I research other religions, and yes I apply appologetics to them, Jehovahs Witness, Muslims, Mormons, and Athiests.

  • 4) What others believe has nothing to do with my salvation and nor does doing good deeds. We are saved by faith in Jesus.

    5) Probably "That sucks", not much more can be said really lol

  • Answers from a christian:

    1) I was raised by christian parents, but i am from england which is much more atheist compared to america.

    2) I havn't done so yet (i think other things are more important first) but I want to at some point.

    3) I dunno if I believe the Flood story literal and to try to explain the problem of pain takes alot of writing. As for Jesus, He was a perfect sacrifce for our sin. The price of sin is death, and Jesus took that on Himself, it displays Gods love.

  • man, you mean all the atheists slamming her ran her off? poor little child.

  • Yeah, she just vanished. After The Amazing Atheist made that video about her cleavage she left.

  • Just between us (heheh), the amazing asshole needs to be run off of YT. He's nothing but a pumpkin-headed bully who, I'll wager $ on, doesn't talk like that in real life. He lies and smiles to try and get his way out "there". Hypocrit.

  • TJ can is and is an ass. He's pissed at coughlan because coughaln *gasp* proved Jerre (NVP) wrong in that a Creationist and Atheist couldn't be friends. He even made Jerre see that certain shit in life is WRONG.

But then TJ comes and bitches at Coughlan because "NVP WAS ALMOST RUN OFF OF YOUTUBE!"

So, what is this now? Is TJ the new "youtube bouncer?"

  • Apparently HE must think so. What's crazy is that he's managed to lure over 60,000 into subbing to him. Do these people even see how hateful and worthless he is? He's pissed at Coughlan because Coughlan made fun of him for being asleep b4 the 24 hr limit of that blog tv and also he knows that Coughlan is more clever and faster on his verbal feet. The Amazing Pumpkin-Headed Atheist! Or The Arrogant Asshole! AHAHAHAHHAHAH let's spread the word, brutha! :)
