Two things, how come no one ever turns off the sound effects (I always did. If I fucked up, I didn't want to hear a DOINK and if I hit a star power part, I didn't want to hear the sound effects from that either. It's distracting from the song)

Explain what is a "tick?"

to hold the long note as long as possible to obtain the maximum amount of points off of that long note. also if you squeeze a note very late this could result in having the long note under star power longer therefore making extra points because the star power earns more points than without star power. that is what a tick is. good explanation? :)
