hi newsnetuk,i also have one of these with a cracked block,i have repaired it with special metal apoxy that i bought from homebase,doesnt leak now and works fine

I had one of these great engines and it sounded just as sweet.....fitted an alternator above the dynastart but it did steal a lot of horses.....eventually seized on me poor thing.....replaced with a MD2020...neat engine

Yes - I have one of these. Mine doesn't start as easily - which doesn't start as easily or rev anything like as fast. ...but the block was r was cracked open by ice about 5 years ago so a little water comes out of it when running. Still goes tho

@newsnetuk hi i have one of these engines with a cracked block from ice,it still runs but like you say a little water comes out,do you think enough water gets through to keep the rest of the engine cool
