  • @RickF1911 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOb

  • good job dude

  • Would've been better if you guys didn't act like 15 year olds.

  • DONT READ THIS CAUSE IT ACTUALY WORKS. YOU WILL GET KISSED ON THE NEAREST POSSIBLE FRIDAY BY THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE. TOMMORROW WILL BE THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE.HOWEVER IF YOU DONT POST THIS COMMENT ON AT LEAST THREE VIDEOS YOU WILL DIE WITHIN TWO DAYS.NOW YOU STARTED READING THIS DONT STOP THIS IS SO SCARY.PUT THIS ON AT LEAST FIVE VIDEOS IN 143 MINUTES WHEN UR DONE PRESS F6 AND UR LOVERS NAME WILL APPEAR IN BIG LETTERS. THIS IS SO SCARY CAUSE IT ACTUALLY WORKS

  • Actual start at 1:30

  • nice!

  • why does pyro guy touching a flame

  • So I heard you guise like Napoleon Dynamite.

  • Seriously, who cares if it's in a single take or not? There are plenty of rube goldbergs on youtube that are shot like this, and no one complains about those ones.

  • :( the title was misleading...... im so sad face right now......

  • check out my rube goldberg machines and subscribe please

  • I agree with others in that a rube goldberg video must be shot with one take, if not possible then you need to set up your machine so it is possible to be shot in one take, if not then anyone can just take one step at a time, film and splice the shots, no proof that this machine worked like it seems,

That being said, this was a pretty creative and decent machine

  • Sweet!

  • i like the guy on the floor

  • you must've had to have alot of cameras in order to catch it casue there isn't anyway for someone to run down stairs in time to catch the stuff flyign through the air

  • My job is let you know that rube contraptions need to be in a single take, period. Otherwise, you have zero proof. And yes I would rather be writing this than watching the rest of your video.

  • As has been stated multiple times, it was physically impossible to film this in one shot due to the setup of the device.

  • @thewitlessfool he's got a point

  • God, where is the first song from? I know I've heard it.

  • nepolean dynamite (i know, i fail at spelling)

  • probably an insurence ad

  • DUDE this is sooo cool.check mine out.its about yugioh though.THE FIRST EVER yugioh contraption.

  • i think he says penus at 0:19

  • i think they have to much time on there hands

  • read the discription

  • at 0:01

  • gotta love teh slow moo

  • NAPOLEON DYNAMITE MUSIC FTW

  • gr8est video evar. nuff said

  • Nice rube goldberg. I also like the music, especially "Beautiful Day" by U2 for the slo-mo part. That song's awesome!

  • f**k explanation. direct to action X(

  • you are weird

  • ha ha ha... mere moments later

  • nice house!

  • why didnt u show the whole thing as raw footy?

  • heart heart A

  • Classic Car with Sail and Fan. You really know how to design a Rube Goldberg machine

  • nice, but why does the clip have cuts? rube goldberg videos are always better without cuts (no matter ho hard it is to do so *g*)

  • It was explained. Not that it is hard, but sometimes the machine moves faster than human reaction. For example, when they went from the 2nd story to the 1st, it would be imposible to be able to film it continuously during the time they would have to run downstairs.

  • fuck u

  • can you tell me the name of the first music we hear?

    thanks

  • It's "Beautiful Day" by U2.

  • he said the first music

  • Actually, he typed it.

Moral of the story: we both suck ass.

  • lol nice 1 bipedel yah i dont like mac =(

  • I love Rube Goldberg machines and rockets, but I'll have to give you 4 stars because you're a Mac user.

    Sorry; it's the law. ;)

  • @BipedalMammal

does it really matter what computer you have? im a mac, Too, and im not an idiot, you idiot

  • LOL

  • Bravo!

  • tres bon

  • I was watching this movie and was about to type "Wow, the ball going down the ramp was half of the machine, it took so long!"

But when you showed it in SLOW MOTION it made it half of the freakin' movie.

  • Love the fan/sail segment!

  • WEAK!

  • my mom is already dead..nice try -.-

  • The intro was extremely gay and took up more then half of the regular motion video.

  • Awesome!! Rube would be proud!

  • i actually do have it all caught on one camera. i took a video with my cell phone and then ran down the stairs and caught the end of the launch. there was one minor problem with the tape measure and golfball in this particular launch....but if anyone would like to see it i can have Chubypig post it...

  • thats what happens when u use a mac...stuff blows up. good choice of song on the slow mo btw...U2 kicks ass!

  • sweet

  • dud whats up with that dance in the end ? XD

  • its damn cool. i love it. something my friends and i should do, too =)

  • The jump clips were obviously made when everything was going too fast to get it all so he had to do different scenes. You people are so stupid.

  • or he couldv had multiple cameras. the fact is none of u kno for sure so stfu

  • Yeah, you're right. While we did have multiple failures, we didn't think we needed to include them in the video. The final video was made using multiple cameras in order to capture it all.

  • u suck... you edited out ur failure

  • should have totally installed lasers on that rocket ship...

  • too many jump cuts, as far as i can imagine, ur rube goldberg machine failed and had interventions. next time keep the camera rolling, or don't edit out ur failz

  • I agree....

  • As I've said before, the "jump cuts" were a necessity due to physical constraints on the setup. There was just no way to catch it all with one camera.

  • cool! next time make it be all like, KAABOOMM! and then make a screamer comemup and everybody would piss there pants and ull be all like omg =0

  • lol I just watched 4 rube goldburg machines and they all contained dominos

  • it seems like evry single one does... lol

  • skip the horrible acting and plotline

.. then you have yourself a half impressive goldberg machine.

    Nice office though

  • niiiice =D

that musta taken a lotta time

  • lol

  • cool!! i like U2 too!

  • hmmmm, think u could make me one to shoot at my brother?

  • the blue car in front of the fan is a pitsco co2 dragster you made huh.... am i right?

  • It was a CO2 dragster, but it wasn't a brand or particular design.

  • pretty good.

  • To all those who are commenting on the editing, that was necessary because it was physically impossible to catch it all in one shot. While it did take multiple tries for it to work, we did get it to work perfectly by the end.

  • my teacher used toplay that last song in class eeeevery day. i hate it!

  • you're not supposed to show different angles when filming a rube goldberg machine, means it could be fake.

  • ummmmmmm... your cool

  • nice

  • lucky for you its not rocket science... i don't like this... i love it!!!

  • It's not rocket science... or I guess it is

  • cool

  • who the fuck is rube goldberg?

  • Some guy that lived a while ago that was known for making the most outrageour machines to do simple things

  • whts the very first song playing

    song and artist

  • Music for a Found Harmonium-Patrick Street.

  • nice project

and the guy playing a retard was funny

or is he really retarded? :D

  • retarded begining, the rube goldberg machine probobly did not work cause the camra angles but it was a good try

  • ur gay

  • your not napolian dinomite u prick

  • stupid...................

  • Cool, but after reading CrzyAznSkillz's comment, I'm not convinced that it actually worked.

  • I like how it's editted so you can't verify the whole chain works =P

  • Good job. A little long, though.

  • that was awesome. you guys get extra win points for using an erector set XD

  • hhah its good huh to be home alone ? ^^

  • nice

  • oh yeh soz that was my mate lol

    we were pissed and bored

  • what wonders me is how did you make the roket? mine dont fly so high:P

  • hey that was pretty tight!

what were the all the songs you used for this movie??

  • That's very creative!

  • can you make homemade sex toys for men :) ?

  • haha 3 things

    that was awesome

    Nice napolean dynamite music

    and LETS DO IT!!!

  • hinsdale central blows! hinsdale south all the way. go hornets.

  • dude f all of the hinsdale schools its all about Glenbard West, G-DUB!!!

  • Did you guys go to Hinsdale Central possibly?

I don't recognize the teacher's name, but I could swear that car was made in an Engineering class at central.

  • no we did not go to hindsdale central...that car was actually made in 8th grade i believe in our tech ed class.

  • Nice one, guys!

  • isnt that music on 1:50 from napoleon dynamite?

  • very impressive

  • Nice im in the 8th grade and some frnds and I are going a Rube Goldberg. idk what the ending is going to be.

  • You guys should make me one, cause i have one due on the 24. . .

  • funny, ive got one due on the 24th too, but im in grade 11 physics

  • such a "grand even" and no count down...what a waste!:(

  • wat skool do or did u go to

  • "Spaulding High School and Barre Technical Center Campus" is the official name. It's in Barre, Vermont which is in fact a state and not a part of Canada.

  • I am shawn and I demand respect. here me roar.

  • shawn, it's "hear."

  • a little obsessed with Napoleon Dynamite?

  • Napoleon Dynamite wanna be?

  • whatsong did u use?

  • Sounds to me like "Music for a Found Harmonium" by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra and "Beautiful Day" by U2. I don't know what the last song is, though.

  • Yeah, and the last song is "You can't always get what you want" by the Rolling Stones

  • What was the design change?

  • Originally we tried to launch the rocket by conducting the electric charge through a vinegar and baking soda mix, but for some reason, although the electricity was conducted, it failed to launch the rocket. Therefore, we changed it so in the end the ball flips the launch switch.

  • sweet u guys rokk

  • lol ownage!

  • FOCKING AWASOME

  • hey shaun..do you wanna launch a rocket...yea! sure! lets do it!...haha...he was fukin like...crawling around on that rug...haha...hilarious

  • that is awesome but the napoleon dynamite impression was a little pathetic. but like someone said before it's probably normal for you guys right?

  • cool

  • LOovE U2

  • haha that's funny because we're all engineering and architecture majors now that we're in college.

and yes, shawn is about 3/4 retarded...but i agree...oh well.

  • Too funny...you guys suck as actors but no doubt you're doing well as engineering students. :)

  • lol I think Shaun is abit retarded... oh well

  • i'm proud to say i'm the kid with the red camo shirt...

or maybe proud isn't the right word...

at least i'm not shawn (the short blonde kid on the toilet).

anyways thanks for all the comments everyone!

  • Everyone that is watching this needs to know the people to know that the acting is funny as hell

    You guys are crazy

  • Very cool concept, very lame acting ;)

  • You used an iMac and a Canon printer to set of a rocket?!?! (is it a Canon?)

Now thats what i call "Rocket science"

Where can I find the instructions on building this thing? What where the mistakes made??

  • you used split takes

  • Whoa, was that MCLORY?

  • It's cool, but you cheated by using split takes.

  • good work you guys are amazing.

  • Great work!!

  • Mickey, this is awsome. I knew when you sent that note to my parents and I, it would be funny. Cheers to you, from Greg L.

  • wow, i never knew clicking print would set off a rocket, cool vid :)

  • awesome!

  • Pretty Cool! Been doing this kind of stuff with my students for over 13 years. Nice job!

  • looks great no doubt you pass the class

  • i'm pretty sure we got an A+ on it. no thanks to shawn. he just spent too much time on the toilet and not enough time sending rockets to the moon.

  • wouldnt you feel bad that at the beggining you accidently set one of the parts off messing everything up? lol

  • Actually, it happened a few times but we were able to catch it just before the launch.
