Although its stated that both Wyatt and Billy get killed at the end (Dennis Hopper also says this in the DVD commentary) I like to think that both survive. Billy was non-fatally shot and you don't see Wyatt get hit-or a body.

I thought Jack Nicholson was great as George Hanson.

@MALCBAGGIE Yeah, Nicholson put on an over the top performance as Hanson.  Rip Torn (a Texan) was originally slated to play Hanson. I remember when Easy Rider was nominated for an Oscar. The Academy played a clip (Fonda and Hopper riding near the Mississippi River) from the movie at the awards in 1969. When the clip was over, Jack just looked around with his madcap smile. It was a priceless and nearly-obscure moment in film history.

I don't even have the money for an H-D crate engine/trans. I built my first chopper in 1965. Sure, the older H-Ds were not the paragon of reliability back then, but, they were cheap. I bought my first H-D (a '47 FL Knucklehead) at a police auction. I shelled out two-hundred bucks for it. It was beat to hell, but, it ran. Good old days.
