He low-sided it. He went over too low, probably came into the corner a little hot, and his tires let loose. Pretty common accident. You can see a lot of low-sides happening elsewhere in the vid.

With bikes when the tyres break loose it happens very rapidly, particularly in the dry, and at this speed most riders wont have the reaction time to save it, even the best. And even so, counter steer might not always save it. And as for the front going, thats as good as rubber side up, rarely ever saved that. Only rider i've seen save the front in colin edwards, look it up - Colin Edwards save jerez

when u crash it isnt so bad because you slide out and have either impact absorbshan plastic or titanium armour, high sides hurt though pretty bad depending on how you land but low sides arnt a problem, but the force u travel from the speed lessens the blow, ive had many crashes racing and the worst ive had is broken palm, wrist and fingers with a cocusin from 1 crash a high side at sachsenring

stoner's clutch kept slipping according to him which wouldnt let him get the drive he wanted and reduced engine braking to almost none which would not let him go into the corners as deep as he would like. had his clutch not messed up on him i believe it would be a three way battle. everyone has problems every now and again and its good to see rossi back on top. that race was awesome. peace.

Oh please... allot of times it just comes down to who has the fewest problems to determine the winner. Rossi and Honda has had nothing but problems this year when Stoner/Ducati/Bridgestone have not had as many. This was a good race and was almost one of the best, I would have loved to see a three way battle for the lead. Get over it already, even Rossi is a big enough man to admit defeat.
