I met Dr. Pappe once, he conveyed to me he held a long seated self-hatred of himself. Funny though he even contradicts himself. He conveys his parents who are Jewish Germans had fled Nazi Germany and yet he denies there ever was a holocaust.

what does islam have to do with this? and perhaps the news in your country doesn't report what's really happening, but the UN have refuted the allegations that hamas were using their compounds, and that's why there's now an investigation into israel committing war crimes. hamas was not and does not 'hide' next to children. they are however forced to be closer to them than they would like because they can't get out of the city to fight the IOF as it's been blockaded for almost 2 years.

No, if you look up and research the Balfour declaration, i think you'll find that the abundance of resources of arabs, along with their technological advances and prosperity, actually invited jewish settlers to move in. Of course the overwhelming military support for the zionists from america, britain, france and russia didn't hurt either.

Again, why are you making this about religion? This has nothing to do with religion. Let me put this in terms you can understand: how about if native americans had had a well-formed, monotheist religion? When they were displaced by the US invaders they moved somewhere else, say China, they spread that religion and many chinese joined the faith. Then after a few centuries those native americans were persecuted for their faith through out asia. Many were put to death.

After that the chinese followers of the faith started to believe they should have a homeland in america, even though they weren't native to the land. They began to emigrate there, and soon their numbers were overwhelming. Some bought land from US citizens. When they had enough numbers and military support they started taking US citizens land and slaughtering them. These people had the support of a superpower, say, soviet russia. Eventually USA was nothing more than a few separated cities.

The chinese colonisers killed all who resisted and said it was their own fault. In a city where resistance was strong, they decided to just block it off. Not let anyone out and not enough food or medicine in. When they fired rockets in protest; cut off water and electricity. Use it as an excuse to kill US children.

Apart from geography and nationality, tell me how this is any different to what has happened in Palestine? Except that, also, before Palestine became part of the British Mandate, Jews, Chrisitians and Muslims lived together in peace. Side by side as neighbours in Palestine. The colonisers of Palestine aren't even native to the land, they are mainly russian converts. So tell me the difference please? Because Palestinians are arabs? So they don't count? The death of their children isn't important?

There is no point in talking to some one who manufactures "reality" out of fictional air.
As numerous scholars have noted (Pappe amongst them) native peoples were displaced by the European "invasion" of Palestine. Israel is the last settler society and its history bears remarkable similarities to that of the US, Canada, Australia, NZ, and South Africa.
The ethnic argument is irrelevant. First Peoples, First Nations, Aborigines, and Maori like Palestinians, were displaced by Europeans.

in other words there is know way to counter the truth. Israel is portrayed as a terrorist and imperialist state, yet is the only democratic one in the region and the only one in which both Jews AND Arabs have an equal right to vote and an equal say in society. Why don't you ask the ARAB, Mr. Hussein, of the Israeli KNESSET, as to what his views are on whether Israel is aparthied. LOL. You can't pin the faults of the Arabs and of every democracy onto Israel.

there is NO such thing as an ethnic Palestinian. the region was named Palestine by the Romans after the Philistines who had lived there -or should we say 'occupied'-during the time of the Roman empire, in order to spite the Jews, after the Romans had just desotryed the last Jewish state-Judea. Palestine is Roman for Phillistine. Remember David and Goliath? Goliath was a Phillistine. Arabs rarely used this word since Omar rode in Jerusalem in 642. Arabs cant pronounce Palestine. They call it "Filistine".The Phillistines were extinct by Roman times being destroyed by the Babylonians.
After Gen Allenby marched in the Brits revived the word Palestine. Arafat redefined it in 1966 to give identity to the Arabs rejected by other Arabs.

ah, I see you are moving on to entirely different terrain. Is Israel democratic? Yes. The Knesset is certainly more representative than the US Congress is. Speaking of the US Israel again bears a certain similarity to the US another nation that claims to be a democratic (it is actually a republic run by aristocrats). Both the US and Israel like to play up that they are democratic. Both, however, discriminate and have discriminated against certain citizens in their midst.

you no what i like? the way in which you have entirely avoided the fact that you talk about Israeli discrimination against arabs, yet the way Jews are treated across the entire Arab emirates make the treatement of Israeli arabs seem like royalty. As i have said before, you cannot talk about Israeli treatment of Arabs without looking at the other side of the coin-which is Arab treatment against the Jews. To only focus on one half of the problem-which so happens 2 b the Jewish 1- IS antisemitic.

and honestly, for someone who (i imagine) is so educated, it strikes me as most hypocritical to start calling Israel undemocratic when you look at the countries that surround it-all 22 of them that have at some stage called for the removal of Israel-or rather the Jews-and the emergence of Palestine. Well, why don't you ask King Hussien of Jordan as to why he said ''Palestine is Jordan and Jordan is Palestine''. THEY ALREADY HAVE A STATE & in israel they have more rights than their own countries!

Palestinian Nationalism Started with Pan Arabism, or Arab Nationalism in 1900, Palestinian Nationalism became real after Balfour declaration in 1917, and became greater when the brits used tanks to silence the uprising in 36 and 39 (resistance silenced by brits). Then Nationalism became a nightmare to brits and zionists. My Father's grandfather used to give food to the resistance :D.
Palestinian Nationalism still exist to this day.
