This happened to me twice on my 250. First one I fluked out with tall grass but second one not as lucky.

Won't happen again because I now always flip into idle-up mode right after hover -- a habit now. Never fly in "normal" mode anymore.

I tend not to call the idle-up mode "3D" mode. In your mind, you might think you *have* to do tricks with it when, in fact, it can be used just to give the heli better stability in normal foward flight. This is actually how full size helis fly!
