@locsnatwist yes honey I feel the same way. I did yarn twists on my self year before last and I want them again but thinking about the time spent ugh! omg!! I know that 10-12hrs it will take ME personally will save me about 4 weeks of having to do my hair but still ugh!

@LaQuettainNC No the flower is not attached. I am growing my hairline in from a tapered cut so my edges are about 4 in. so the headband blends my edges in with the rest of my hair.

AHG, what products were you using that caused all that build up? While the yarn was in did you wash it with shampoo or cowash at any time? I got kinky twist in mine for almost a month now. I haven't washed my yet.

@TaShar16 I believe that the build up was the result of me using eco styler gel to slick and smooth my baby hairs around my edges.That probably explains why it occured only aound my hairline. I shampooed and conditioned my hair twice during the 6 weeks that I kept them in (once every 2 weeks). Why haven't you washed your hair? If you don't want to use a rinse out shampoo, have you considered using a dry shampoo or witch hazel to clean your scalp?

@AfrikanHairGod Ohhh okay. I haven't washed because I haven't used ANY products at all, not even oil in it. I only spray filtered water on it. Also sometimes while in the shower, I use the detachable shower head and spray (with the heavy flow setting) directly on my scalp and use my fingers and lightly massage. I am planning on melting down a piece of my black soap in a water bottle and using that to cleanse it a little more. I plan to do that twice a month. Thanks for answering!

@dhakirahjami No, I should have mentioned that in the video. It was great and all but took way to long to put in and overall I just liked the ease and versatility of my kinky twists.... I think I'm going to stick with kinky twists. I don't even want to bother with yarn twists even though they are much quicker than yarn braids.
