like in lots of movie the loving dog dies and that is becasue they writer wants you to feel the emotiom of the character... like in this movie it showed his solitude and that his dog was his best friend and the only thing he really had left and when you see that you can relate to yourself right away and think "gosh if that happened to me..." then when sam dies you feel the charaters pain and its just amazing what you feel for the characters even when you never really met them

Great song... It is soo sad that she dies in the film. Will actually tried to buy her from her trainer after filming but the trainer refused... that's how much Will fell in love with the dog during shooting. That bond can truely be seen in the film. This film has an underlying message about humanity, fate & religion. Aside from zombies, the events in this movie could come to pass here in reality... in our time. That is what I got from this film. It's my favorite of favorites.. #1.
