  • Very nice playing, excellent technique sound. Somehow after watching for a few minutes feel the movements of the bow look a bit robotic. More natural gestures and expression will come with time...

  • @222mcooper1

Yeah, he's a bit robotic at that tender age of just turning 6. Now he's 10yo.

Welcome to watch his latest video clip and comment. Thank you!

  • @applemaniac123

:o OMG you serious? lol nice nice nice :D

  • ( . )( . ) ( . Y . )

  • gente que lindo parabens

  • @Mrtchaikovskyful.. I had no idea you teach Alex....

  • The next Anna Karkowska.....

  • look guys. I wasn't being mean. clearly stating an obvious fact. I am a violin teacher and I personally don't start kids on things before they are ready for it. If they can't play it up to speed they aren't ready. I wasn't dissing this amazing little kid, rather his teacher.

  • This Is Amazinggg(:

  • He sucks

  • Awsomeee :O!! I loved!!

  • OMG!! he is sooo good! when i was six i couldn't even sing twinkle twinkle little star.

  • wow this is impresive! Thes boy has alot of potential, plus he has nice vibrato.

  • no one cares

  • n___n

  • this is insanely sloow....

  • that's because he's six u fuckin retard

  • @3nz0f3r yeah and he isn't ready for the piece... that's what I'm saying. HE'S SIX.

  • @Mrtchaikovskyful give him a break he's only six,

  • @Mrtchaikovskyful the important thing is that he's playing it in tune. i think it is better to play something slowly and in tune that quickly and sloppy

  • what is "IB, one of the hardest programs in the whole freakin world" ??

  • @emilywilliams420

ib is international Baccalaureate . its not really hard, its like honors. my sister is in it. well, u probablydont care that my sister is in it...

  • HOLY SHIT!! HE'S 6 Y.O!!

    O_o!

  • omg -jaw drops-

  • naaw :3

  • WOW!!

  • Oh wow, ericgable. You're another kid whose parents didn't "force" to do anything. Look at yourself, you see a video of a 6 year old playing vivaldi, reasonably well I might add, and all you can say is both racist, derogatory, and negative. Pathetic.

  • Agreed. Their parents didn't force him to play the violin, I would think. My parents did, but I never practiced, and now at the age of 12, I'm beginning to regret it. If his parents forced him, I think that he wouldn't play this concerto as well.

  • Heyy you will be a great violinist...no doubt. Talented boy.

  • OMG he is amaaaazing! great counting, vabrato.. EVERYTHING that was beautiful. i cant even play that and im 13. this child is a prodigy... keep it up kid, you'll get real far.

  • You can not claim a child is a Prodigy because he practices a song.. All of us is not destined to PLAY or do SOMETHING , we put our minds to it and its because we enjoy it.. Like this kid... he probably didnt put hes mind to it... i really doubt he did but hes good because he practices and always consistant in playing which all you people need to understand ... all of us can be a PRODIGY right... just because you play a hard song at young age p:

  • so amazing

  • omg....for his age he plays very good :)

  • that was sooooo good for his age.... he uses the bow sooo well..... keep playing..... he has great potential to be really good !!!!!

  • I remember playing this song, first song I've ever played out of a suzuki book ^^

  • I think that B3llit0 is right. He/she was not criticising the boy; he was mainly telling the boy how to improve. Given his supposed experience, he should know where the boy went wrong. Even though the boy may be "doing fantastic for so young", what hurt is there to improve?

  • He plays better than I do and I'm 15. :(

  • oh and B3llit0 leave him alone i mean hes like what 5?! hes doing fantastic for so young and hes still learning so leave him alone

  • hes soo cutee!!! hes a child prodigy (: hes gonna be x854657485413248654 better when he grows upp!

  • wow. this kid is brilliant (:

    totally inspired.

  • what's this song called???

  • Vivaldi Concerto in A minor, Op. 3, No. 6, 3rd Movement

  • You are awesome!!!

  • he plays better than me.... and i've been playing this song for two years.... *cry*

    great job lil kid!!!!

  • im doing this song right now in my lessons

  • Concerto.. not a song.

  • i know but i mean this song in particualar

not the whole concerto u dummy

and whyd u -1 me for?

also how long have U been playing music hm?

    im guessing u only listen!

ive been playing music for hmm...

    8 YEARS

    of course i konw it's a concerto!!

  • I've been playing violin for 17 years. I'm a professional musician. I'm usually very mean on here. Sorry.

  • very good

  • AMAZING! this boy s really talented..!

wEeeEEE! i LUV seeing little kids

    play perfectly ^_^

hey both of 'ya commenting below., what's with the grammar and all?

  • im frustrated!!waaaaahhhhh.nice...

  • im 12 and in only just after learning vibrato are you doing exams im only on grade 2 wgen did u lear 2 play this well ur sooooooooooo brilliant

  • how kute

    nice=]

  • Watch your intonation, it gets a little bit out of control at times. Also be careful when switching strings; I heard a bit of bow noise on those parts. Some of it was a little lacking in expression when I heard it, you might want to work on that as well. You've got a good vibrato already, so nice work there.

On the strong, forte sections, you seem to be attacking the notes a bit too strongly; work on controlling your bow for those parts. Overall, that was played very nicely; well done!

  • he is six all those who say he is bad need to shut up

  • All those who can do no more than criticise the people who are trying to offer good advice need to shut up, too.

  • i dun think he needs another teacher to tell him his weaknesses. lol.

  • Oh, I'm not a teacher. I've played numerous instruments over the course of about 7 years, and (not to brag) I'm a musically gifted person. I think that gives me the right to give constructive criticism on the playing of others.

  • yeah he's 6 im sure he understood your constructive comments. if u dun play like him when u were 6 then i think he has very much placed himself far above you.

  • I did, but I played the piano at that time so it's not a fair comparison. It depends on how long he's been playing, though. If he's been playing for three years and can do that, then I'm above him because I could do that after a bit more than a year.

Also, please watch your grammar-- capitalise the first word in a sentence. What's more, "dun" is NOT a substitute for "didn't".

  • grammar dun really matter to me so long i get my point across which i suppose i did ? ur funnny i never heard anyone who sees and claim they're musically gifted. i only hear people saying that as a compliment for others. oh wait did u say u weren't braggin?

  • Yes, I did. I'm actually quoting other people who have heard me play before; I don't know of any other way to put it.

"Funny" does not contain three of the letter N. "U" is not a pronoun, nor is "ur" a possessive pronoun.

  • oh reallllly. i guessss i havve ttto bellieeve youu thennn. ur reallly funny. itss saddd thatt Alll thiss whilee i always thoughtt funny was spelllled with 3 'N's. becaussse thatss whhat i thhought my teeacher thoughtt mme.

    anythiing ellse ?

  • Yes, your teacher taught you incorrectly.

  • Please don't expect a 6 year who hasn't been playing long enough to truly grasp the mechanics of the violin to play more expressively. It's surprising he uses any vibrato at all at his age for that matter be able to cordinate the bow and his fingers for that well. Most people don't learn out of second position until they are much older than this. Considering all that..I think he's being as expressive as he can be. He's teacher probally has better input than you considering how far he is.

  • so annoying

  • Wahahahahaaooww!

    A virtuoso in making!

  • Wow O.O Even I don't have a vibrato yet! And I'm 12...I'm not even close to your level dude! In other words, you rock!

  • great!!!

  • OMG!!! how old is he?

  • bahahahaha, sounds like me right now... and I'm like 18!!!!lolz :D

  • Concerto in a minor 3rd mvt.

  • wow Nice really good keep playing :)

  • cute

  • Someone can tell me the name of this song? xD

  • Someone can tell me the name of this song? xD

  • Someone can tell me the name of this song? xD

  • wow...impressive wait till he is a bit older, he'll represent his school X3

  • One thing I do not like about Vibrato is that people are so easily impressed by it. If you can even make a noise that sound like vibrato people seem to think that you are a musical genius. I have seen it used way too many times where I think the person should concentrate more on the accuracy of the notes or intonation rather than rabidly wiggling their arm.

  • i kno... BUT I STILL HATE IT!!!!! (its way too hard... but it sounds cool. (not when i play it)

  • I HATE VABRADO!!!!!!!!!!! (I done think I spelled it rite though)

  • vibrato....It's not used in all forms of violin playing. Ppl just do it for the sound and the resonating quality that comes out of it.

  • vibrato

  • this boy is awesome i'm still playing violin and i can't play like him yet!

  • I'm sure is gonna be a great violinist. Amazing really, I saw is videos from when he was 5years old, amazing really!

  • afina mejor ke yo:D very good

  • mi fuente de inspiracion :3

  • i play the violin and i have to admit u play better than me

  • Wonderful! Perfect intonation, bowing and clean sound. He's really good!!

  • if people saw you without a violin they would have just thought you were a simple and normal boy. But this is.... awesome! good playing!!

  • BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO ...AWESOME !

  • Very nice !! i really like it, I would suggesting not pausing so much between each note and phrase, thus forming a melody ;). But very nice indeed, oh and just a tip, try to let him listen to the song played by someone else.

  • aww he plays so well... but is it just me, or is he using a cello bow? it seems big.

  • It's a violin bow. A cello bow has a curved frog near the adjusting screw.

  • Yeah, it's just that violin bows for small violins have a thick obow.

  • FUCK ON BOY YOU ARE VERY GOOD

  • no...he's not exellent...HE'S MORE! fantastic!! i wish my parents encouraged me to play an instrument while i was his age but...good work! keep it up!!

  • Fantastic!

  • AMAZING!!! he is SO good!!!! This boy is really talented!!!

  • AMAZING vibrato!

  • You play SO well - people like you mean that the world will be better in the future because there will be people who love art and share it - keep it up!

  • he deserved a better violin!! very good!!

  • i totally agree

  • Ah...at his age, what's more important is that his intonation, position-shifting is good and bowing clear, yah? He really had many more years to gain the emotion. Can you imagine if he plays sensitively with great feeling but notes are just a tad off? Bleh! I do think he's around Grade 4 or 5 standard now since he should now be in his 2nd year for Musically-Gifted children at NAFA (academy of fine arts in Singapore).

Anyway, who is thie "thekidwhocameback"? Family friend of Tongzhou, ah?

  • p6grace, thank you for your comment and support all the time. "thekidwhocameback" is a friend we met here through Tongzhou's video sharing. Like your feeling, we're very thankful for her warm family member like support and encouragement, and her professional comments as a violin teacher in US.

  • Excellent pitch, great crisp bow strokes. I played this when I was 12 and not as good as you. The ending was delightful and humorous. Keep it up all the was to Carnegie.

  • Toni shout up

  • Thank you for that. For goodness sake, the boy's been playing the piece only for 3 weeks at the time when this video was posted.

  • Kid plays OK but this concerto is over its abilities. It is not enough to learn the notes and play clear. He needs to work more with the bow. And the lack of emotions is what matters most...

  • The kid is just SIX years old and he's been playing the piece only for 3 weeks at the time when this video was posted. Children especially at this age need much more encouragement than criticism. I'd like to save such criticism for when he

    turns 40.

  • The kid has its abilities, but one should accept critisim if he wants to become great musician. The children should play things that are for their age and abilities otherwise they can only impress amateurs with bed performance of famous concertos.

  • Amazing!

  • it's eiher grade 3-5 or something. i never liked that song but i'm kinda way past that level but looking back at this kid play...he has a very clear sound and his vibrato is doing pretty good. this is very good for a 6 year old.

  • oh my gosh.. HOW OLD IS HE? i cant even do vibrato yet . geeeeeeeee. that kid is one of many that will change the world with his talent. and what level music is this?

  • very good

  • Bravo Tongzhou! Your intonation is excellent and so is your right hand command. This is one of my favorite Vivaldi concertos. Your ending made me smile. You are very lucky to have parents who support you. Happy Mother's Day!!
