A lot of this Economy problem is only psychological. People hear that the economy is bad, so they decide to spend less out of fear, hence, making the economy even worse. For those who are in deep shit because they can't make their payments because of the money they borrowed from banks... it serves you right, next time don't borrow money if you can't pay back, quit whining, it wasn't your money in the first place.

Be careful what you wish for... I don't want the change "NO"bama is talking about. Do you know how much all the hand outs he is offering will cost this country, including the average citizen? Why would he want to penalize businesses and corporations large or small with tax increases? I don't know about anyone else but I never got a paycheck from a poor person. Businesses will just pass that cost on to the public.... and it will cost us all more including jobs.

Get banks and financial institutions out of student loans? That is absolutely insane. The government every year refuses to lend me money for school that I have to get from private sources. Their ways of determining a student's "need" are absurd. Also, the few federal loans I do have were changed by law into an adjustable rate when I borrowed them at a fixed rate. The interest on my government loans is now higher than my private, which is fixed. The government is screwing me, not the banks.

MOST of the teachers that are in our public schools are equivalent to babysitters. Teachers should get payed on a merit system so all the lazy hippies who want to sit in a classroom and pretend to do work will stop stealing from the hard working American people. Do plumbers get paid to show up to work and play with tools? Do accountants get paid to show up for work and type gibberish into excel? NO. What if doctors did surgery on people just to pass time?
