Lee Doren still blocks dissenting posts - the move of a real winner. His analysis is one sided and doesn't incorporate anything beyond ideological framing of issues. In Lee's world, the state is always evil and we should have no taxes ever. The free market should be allowed to operate without regulation ect....
I don't mind this point of view in a reasonable debate, but Doren paints the world with a broad brush leading to unsophisticated analysis.

Hey Chris, a note on the two accounts you explicitly pointed out are Lee's... in one of your four or five videos on this topic, you pointed out Advocate1234.
If you check that channel out, you'll notice that Lee refers to himself as "Devil's Advocate" and works with a friend named "Red Wolverine" (probably thanks to his friend, like Lee, being a Republican Alumnus of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor) on an online radio show known as "Copius Dissent:Your Daily Dose of Liberty"
So it's really a precursor account to Lee's current account. His show really covers the span of the 2008 Elections. As for CopiusDissent, I'm presuming that it's his, because that's his blog and former feature on Advocate (in addition to many other videos to the right of the aisle).
As for the other accounts, he explains that he is a YouTube Partner (he is) and he can ask Subscribers to subscribe to other channels via branding (I've seen this with other channels).
As for keeping things to ourselves, I don't have much of a YouTube presence other than to comment, rate, view, and Subscribe at the moment, but I have decided to keep my favorites, playlists, subscriptions, and subscribers that I do not have (I have none) to myself for the sake of doing so.
Since Lee is a target, you disagree, but I believe this, it's responsible, because there are some people who have no respect or argument, they just name call out of hate.
As for going after Thunderfoot, he's going after the big guy with more influence, not you, the smaller guy, just how I see it.
I like what he does, and what he says tends to make sense. That's what I think, I'm pretty confident it's not what you think, but I think we can be civil about it.

Yeah, I saw that this is relatively old and maybe I'll see whatever you have served up. I did see your video where you sought to stop the harassments, and Lee's had a time where (and I don't know if it was AmazingAtheist or Thunderfoot) he had to ask his own guys to stop blindly hurting other accounts. As for accounts, you can't fake 10,000 plus. Who has has to thank are TJ and Thunderfoot for opposing viewed people who subscribed in the midst of his battles with them.

you gotta admit, that's pretty low-class. i mean, politics aside, you don't mess with someone like that. if htww was really sincere, he would have offered up his condolences in a private message. you don't make a video in a sarcastic tone, saying someone who's obviously saddened by the death of their father "needs a hug". it was a dick move.
For my part, I thought it had something to do with TAA and his general rantings (that would make sense, the guy looks like he could use one sometimes), not the death of a relative (or close). I'd probably disagree with TAA's views (his handle itself is in opposition to me), but if Lee wanted to be public, he could have said to send your hope and prayers towards TJ and why (which I did not hear).
Obviously he needs work in empathy and as respectful as possible disagreement.

How do you tell if you are blocked or banned... it seems that Lee has banned me? I cant post to the HTWW message board or comment on any of his videos... I submit but nothing happens. Here is why: I didn't bother to sigh up to youtube until HTWW started to spring about. Then I decided to subscribe to him. This case is probably true for the .227% of subscribers for HTTW (or 25 to 11000). He didn't mention you because he though you were retarded and did not want to launch you to fame by creating such a controversy for a guy with a couple hundred subscribers. Also, TF00t, has 7 times the subscribers, so he is concerned he will mislead alot of his drones (i mean audience)

I don't think he meant that as the argument - I think he thought that showing that he was a youtube partner would make it make more sense why everyone had the same 5 subscriptions...hence, they are real subscribers. It doesn't prove it, but...how would you prove it? How are you supposed to prove you have 10,000+ real subscribers? Individually go through and prove each one has done...what? Make a video? I can conceive of no way to prove such...so why only say HTWW does this? Why not everyone?
Well the whole point in my opinion is Lee's first vids were all about he subscribe to me I think I can make money off of youtube. Lee also put on deadline to make 10,000 subscribers. When was the last time you heard a yourtuber who makes vids say that. Thunderfoot had 6 times the subs and is just not deciding to be a partner. He made is account and produced content well before they decided to allow youtubers to make money. It does raise some questions.

Fact this youtuber made a vid to point out that he wanted so many subs in an alloted amount of time so he can make 100,000 grand a year. This is what intended. The 5 subs in the same order was actually the one thing HTWW did explain - it's because when you are youtube partner, it asks you to subscriber to all of the channels he's partnered with. If they do...that's what happens. 5 subs, all of which are his partners.
As for why they aren't subscribed to anyone else...
I have no idea. It could be that, as I said before, they only heard of his YT account at a rally and signed up just to sub to him. It could be that they just aren't interested in anything else on YT. It could be that they don't frequently log in. They could be sock accounts.

You can believe whatever you want it about it, but I question unsubstantiated beliefs. I hold no belief either way in this case, both are possible and I have no way to prove it one way or the other. However, I don't go around and assume every channel has sock accounts subscribed to them - my default assumption is that they are honest and have real subscribers. It's an occam's razor thing. Think horses, not zebras.

The method he's using right now is asking the subscribers to create videos of themselves, and he showed one that did. However, not every one of them will do that - and not everyone can. So again, I'm just asking...what would I need to do to convince you?

i hear ya. but keep in mind, my suspicions were not based on pure... how should i say it... wishful thinking. in a previous video, i pointed out that htww was using the copiousdissent channel as a sock account to favorite his videos. the more recent video calling on several suspicious accounts was based on that fact. it wasn't like i just saw a random user was subscribed to htww and thought to myself, "sock account!!!"
Well regardless I would call anyone out that makes a unfounded accusation. For instance if someone made a video about you and said you use sock accounts I would defend you as well. That no matter the disagreement they have with your position they have no right to malign or demonize you. I believe in individual rights and the most important right is that of free speech. With that right comes responsibility we can't undo damage once we damage ones reputation.
Look, I have 100 subs. If you were to go through them I'm sure you would find several that appear to be "suspicious" under your own criteria because they still have the default background, text, ect. Most youtubers do not change the default settings on their channel because youtube is not myspace, so there is no reason to. Even implying that such individuals are sock accounts is dishonest.

The only way to make money on youtube is through ads, and the only way to make money on an ad is to have people click it on your video.
Having hundreds of fake subs doesn't make you a penny unless you spend hours and hours every day logging into different ones to view,rate,favorite, and click the ad. Even if you do that with 500 accounts you probably won't make more than 10 bucks through advertising because usually the "pay per click" is only a few cents.

Maybe someone can help me out. This video claims that HTWW response to the allegations was to make a video where he sits there and says "these are real people", and nothing else. No, even if he chooses to take it upon himself, the burden is still yours. As for his proof, he did prove how so many people can have the same five subscriptions. As for the nature of the activity in that account, given that he has more than 10,000 subscribers, you may find some inactive ones. If half of them where inactive, you may have had a case. You also said he threatened legal action, he did not. So when you say the title was meant to be sarcastic, I think you are backtracking.

Again, as cris has mentioned twice already, it's not unusual that all the accounts share five subscriptions. It's that they are the ONLY five channels the accounts are subscribed to. In other words, the accounts are clones of one another. Many of the accounts even subscribed to the five channels in the same order. It's obvious that these are sock puppet accounts and not real people, as Lee claims.
coasterpro, i just want to make a quick correction to your comment. while i agree that the fact that several accounts only subscribe to the same five accounts raises suspicion, neither i nor anyone can absolutely that those are definitely sock accounts. however, in light of the fact that htww, does use both the advocate profile and the htww profile to favorite mostly his own videos, i'm almost certain there are other accounts like those.

So it's really a precursor account to Lee's current account. His show really covers the span of the 2008 Elections. As for CopiusDissent, I'm presuming that it's his, because that's his blog and former feature on Advocate (in addition to many other videos to the right of the aisle).
As for the other accounts, he explains that he is a YouTube Partner (he is) and he can ask Subscribers to subscribe to other channels via branding (I've seen this with other channels).

As for keeping things to ourselves, I don't have much of a YouTube presence other than to comment, rate, view, and Subscribe at the moment, but I have decided to keep my favorites, playlists, subscriptions, and subscribers that I do not have (I have none) to myself for the sake of doing so.
Since Lee is a target, you disagree, but I believe this, it's responsible, because there are some people who have no respect or argument, they just name call out of hate.

As for going after Thunderfoot, he's going after the big guy with more influence, not you, the smaller guy, just how I see it.
I like what he does, and what he says tends to make sense. That's what I think, I'm pretty confident it's not what you think, but I think we can be civil about it.
I have found some contemptable people, but I think you're reasonable enough to receive these comments well.

Yeah, I saw that this is relatively old and maybe I'll see whatever you have served up. I did see your video where you sought to stop the harassments, and Lee's had a time where (and I don't know if it was AmazingAtheist or Thunderfoot) he had to ask his own guys to stop blindly hurting other accounts. It sadly happens.
As for accounts, you can't fake 10,000 plus. Who has has to thank are TJ and Thunderfoot for opposing viewed people who subscribed in the midst of his battles with them.

if that thing about him asking his subs not to blindly hurt the subscribers of tf00t and taa, then that just makes it all the more hypocritical and low-class for what he did to taa. that whole thing about saying, "i think tj needs a hug." this was in response to a video taa made, expressing his anger at the medical system in american because of his dad dying. and sure enough, after lee made that video, you could see all of his followers mocking taa, asking him if he needed a hug.

For my part, I thought it had something to do with TAA and his general rantings (that would make sense, the guy looks like he could use one sometimes), not the death of a relative (or close). I'd probably disagree with TAA's views (his handle itself is in opposition to me), but if Lee wanted to be public, he could have said to send your hope and prayers towards TJ and why (which I did not hear).
Obviously he needs work in empathy and as respectful as possible disagreement.

How do you tell if you are blocked or banned... it seems that Lee has banned me? I cant post to the HTWW message board or comment on any of his videos... I submit but nothing happens. I did get a message at some point a week ago or so that my comment was pending approval. Now I get no feedback... but no posting. Obviously if you post something that he cant handle then he will block you. It seems that calling people idiots only will get HTWW so far in countering the truth.

Here is why: I didn't bother to sigh up to youtube until HTWW started to spring about. Then I decided to subscribe to him. This case is probably true for the .227% of subscribers for HTTW (or 25 to 11000). He didn't mention you because he though you were retarded and did not want to launch you to fame by creating such a controversy for a guy with a couple hundred subscribers. Also, TF00t, has 7 times the subscribers, so he is concerned he will mislead alot of his drones (i mean audience)

I don't think he meant that as the argument - I think he thought that showing that he was a youtube partner would make it make more sense why everyone had the same 5 subscriptions...hence, they are real subscribers. It doesn't prove it, but...how would you prove it? How are you supposed to prove you have 10,000+ real subscribers? Individually go through and prove each one has done...what? Make a video? I can conceive of no way to prove such...so why only say HTWW does this? Why not everyone?

Well the whole point in my opinion is Lee's first vids were all about he subscribe to me I think I can make money off of youtube. Lee also put on deadline to make 10,000 subscribers. When was the last time you heard a yourtuber who makes vids say that. Thunderfoot had 6 times the subs and is just not deciding to be a partner. He made is account and produced content well before they decided to allow youtubers to make money. It does raise some questions.

Actually, I think that works as an argument for him. If he wants a profit, he can't just votebot himself. There needs to be real people donating, which means the more REAL subscribers he has the better. Also, since he does speak at rallies and such, he may advertise his channel there. Then it would make sense if some users signed up only to subscribe to him.

The 5 subs in the same order was actually the one thing HTWW did explain - it's because when you are youtube partner, it asks you to subscriber to all of the channels he's partnered with. If they do...that's what happens. 5 subs, all of which are his partners.
As for why they aren't subscribed to anyone else...

I have no idea. It could be that, as I said before, they only heard of his YT account at a rally and signed up just to sub to him. It could be that they just aren't interested in anything else on YT. It could be that they don't frequently log in. They could be sock accounts.
I don't know the answer; it would be wrong for me to claim I did. I can claim anything is "suspicious" but that really doesn't mean anything other than that I'm paranoid.

You can believe whatever you want it about it, but I question unsubstantiated beliefs. I hold no belief either way in this case, both are possible and I have no way to prove it one way or the other. However, I don't go around and assume every channel has sock accounts subscribed to them - my default assumption is that they are honest and have real subscribers. It's an occam's razor thing. Think horses, not zebras.

I do not believe that the federal government has all the answers. I believe that the individual should be left alone to shape their own destiny. i hear ya. but keep in mind, my suspicions were not based on pure... how should i say it... wishful thinking. in a previous video, i pointed out that htww was using the copiousdissent channel as a sock account to favorite his videos. the more recent video calling on several suspicious accounts was based on that fact. it wasn't like i just saw a random user was subscribed to htww and thought to myself, "sock account!!!"

Well regardless I would call anyone out that makes a unfounded accusation. For instance if someone made a video about you and said you use sock accounts I would defend you as well. That no matter the disagreement they have with your position they have no right to malign or demonize you. I believe in individual rights and the most important right is that of free speech. With that right comes responsibility we can't undo damage once we damage ones reputation.

Look, I have 100 subs. If you were to go through them I'm sure you would find several that appear to be "suspicious" under your own criteria because they still have the default background, text, ect. Most youtubers do not change the default settings on their channel because youtube is not myspace, so there is no reason to. Even implying that such individuals are sock accounts is dishonest.

The only way to make money on youtube is through ads, and the only way to make money on an ad is to have people click it on your video.
Having hundreds of fake subs doesn't make you a penny unless you spend hours and hours every day logging into different ones to view,rate,favorite, and click the ad. Even if you do that with 500 accounts you probably won't make more than 10 bucks through advertising because usually the "pay per click" is only a few cents.

i question the honesty of anyone that goes not allow others to comment onthier channel page or videos. the only reason i would accept for someone deleting or censoring comments is if it is spam or someone that just uses vulgar language with no argument or just plain hate speech. i personally do not gelete comments of people that don't agree with me or my opinions nor do comments or videos require prior approval by me. those that do this are being disingenuous

Maybe someone can help me out. This video claims that HTWW response to the allegations was to make a video where he sits there and says "these are real people", and nothing else. I would like to investigate this for myself, but I fear I am too weak of a man to sit their and listen to his disgusting and vulgar propaganda for more than 5 seconds at a time. Can someone verify that this is indeed all their was to his rebuttal?

was it just me or was every site the same, you would think they might have at least one different subscriptions. like he could not of log on to each account and randomly subscribe to a few random people. Was he even trying, it like he wants to be caught..

HTWW is now blocking my comments. Real brave considering I made a comment when it looked like I was outnumbered 5 to 1. It turns out there is a good reason I was outnumbered 5 to one. Sen McCain was lacking in bravery during the election too. I couldn't post a comment on his site either. Chris Christie, Republican candidate for Gov in NJ doesn't allow any comments on his videos. I don't think he would make an account 3 years before only to start sock accounting them in 2 weeks. I they were made more recently I'd believe or if they subbed more earlier.

He decreed by fiat? Maybe, but he did not have the burden of proof here. You where the one making an accusation that you could not substantiate. You are using the guilty until proven innocent argument here, which does not work. You called his accounts sock accounts not suspicious accounts it is in the title 'howtheworldworks gives a big thanks to his sock accounts... err... i mean subscribers!' He does not want to make you famous. So he chooses not to mention your name.

well, that's true he didn't have the burden of proof. that is until he took it on himself when he said he would PROVE that they were not sock accounts. and the title of the video is meant to be sarcastic. have you never suggested anything like that in a similar way? seriously now. be honest.

No, even if he chooses to take it upon himself, the burden is still yours. As for his proof, he did prove how so many people can have the same five subscriptions. As for the nature of the activity in that account, given that he has more than 10,000 subscribers, you may find some inactive ones. If half of them where inactive, you may have had a case. You also said he threatened legal action, he did not. So when you say the title was meant to be sarcastic, I think you are backtracking.

Again, as cris has mentioned twice already, it's not unusual that all the accounts share five subscriptions. It's that they are the ONLY five channels the accounts are subscribed to. In other words, the accounts are clones of one another. Many of the accounts even subscribed to the five channels in the same order. It's obvious that these are sock puppet accounts and not real people, as Lee claims.

coasterpro, i just want to make a quick correction to your comment. while i agree that the fact that several accounts only subscribe to the same five accounts raises suspicion, neither i nor anyone can absolutely that those are definitely sock accounts. however, in light of the fact that htww, does use both the advocate profile and the htww profile to favorite mostly his own videos, i'm almost certain there are other accounts like those.

I appreciate the correction. And you're right, we should not jump to conclusions here. But I do think we can reasonably assume that most of these are definite sock accounts. There are too many similarities for coincidence to be a reasonable argument. On that note, I posted a list of 40 suspicious accounts on your profile, confirming the ones in your video.
Though my tone is accusatory, I still do agree we should be careful about jumping to conclusions.
That said, the evidence is mounting.

The evidence is not mounting. This is merely a smear campaign and an excuse for it. Those accounts are getting hate mail, precisely why Lee said he hides them. Lee calls one of his subscribers a fool, and cristoballs uses it to attack his character. but he does not make a proper argument. That is an ad hominem. You think I notice it only when creationists do it?

I thought Lee was going to prove those accounts were legit and therefore proving his statement that everyone else is slandering them.
all he did was click on the accounts and say, See these are real, so there!!!
And then, in his followup video the next day, he states, he cannot actually prove the accounts are real and legit and it is dependent upon others to do so. wow.....just wow says it all about Lee and his emotions.

You were making good points until the 3:30 mark. He wasn't trying to prove that those accounts were real subscribers, he was just stating that they were. He explained why they looked like socks later on.

yeah, you're right. he wasn't trying to prove that those accounts were real subscribers. and as i said in the video, only explained why those 5 accounts show up together. that is not the suspicious thing about those accounts. what was suspicious is that they were the ONLY 5 accounts.

from what I can see here, People as HTWW seem to think that everyone is entitled to their opinion - right or wrong. But there doesn't seem to be a responsibility for the person to actually be able to show how they came about that opinion.
It's like they think "I believe it is true so for me it is" is good enough. Not for me.
HTWW use qoutes and facts pulled out of context, biased or simply lies to make his points, not unlike creationists.
