Keith was using Ampeg SVTs in those days. Odd, because a Telecaster and an SVT make a really nice "drone" when the Tele is tuned in Open G. Very few of the bootlegs I've been able to lay my hands on, however, were testimony to what the combo sounded like "en vivo." Sad, really. The tempos may have been almost ridiculous back then, but the rhythm section sound just =kicked= buttski.
The guitar riff at 1:40 is my favourite part of this song... so fucking cool. The first ever time I heard this song was on a live recording and I thought that riff was improvised.
this was my first concert ever LA Forum 13 th row with a bunch of friends &older brothers(who drove us to the show) only song i sat down for all night was Angie good song &all that but i remember that was the one point i needed a breather. 15 years old & the Stones were the greatest rock n roll band in the world Great memories i had this on vinyl shortly after the tour f in amazin
reality check. i got like 23-25 driving while intonicated ticketsin wyoming. even one officet\r said," you are as drunk as hell, but you have good music" i get tired of shooting cows. i have spent the night in jail, in the Wilcox Hotel... how about we have a good time? that is what thE stones are reallly aobut,. frankly, i am not to supposed to say this but, i was part of the 1973 to 1975 General Motors tour. we are not to speak of that. gollly good.
the 75 tour.. the tour when the drugs either made the stones sound great or like total fucking shit. Ronnie is trying hard to fit in, lol he dosnt play like this anymore.
full speed ahead and a glorious mess

That's why we love them, play them, and cover them. Simply put, the greatest rock n' roll band in the world.
