I'm afraid the US just created another welfare state when it created Liberia. When the US ended its own civil war, it didn't ask for money from other countries. True, but:
#1 based on what seeing I'm non of them know how to aim, so them shooting at U.S. troops wouldn't be that big of a deal.
#2 they more or less speak English, which would make them easier to deal with then say the people in Darfur.
Not saying going in there to help would be a great idea, but if the U.S. is going to send troops to anywhere in Africa I'd say Liberia has the best chance of being a successful mission.
