@MrUncovered2 I know the man personally and have found him to exude nothing but charm and a wicked Irish sense of humor. Man up and talk to Ian and I am sure you will find the same. Since you've attempted to shame him anonymously and in 'public', it's the honorable thing to do.
Several years ago I called on the singer at his cabinet/ woodworking shop and he was a total jerk. Not at all like he is on the beginning of this clip. I have seen the band once, they are quite good, but, I wont go back.
@MrUrcovered2 Just curious if you were calling on him at his place of business to inquire about cabinets or his music? Could make a difference. I dont know him personally but in the 7 or 8 times Ive seen them live Ian doesnt come across as a jerk at all. However, everyone has a bad day now and then.
I first saw them at the North Texas fest in Dallas. 11 years later I am in Downtown KC at Ragland Road and they are playing at a private party. Was able to talk to Ian for a while. He is great.
i was backstage at that moment lol im good friend with the bass players daughter we used to go to the same skool im going to see them again tonight ( backstage lol)
Ah faith and begorrah. How I love this group and cherish all the joy they bring. Fell in love with them at the North Texas Irish Festival and have stayed up with them since. A thrill to see in person.
KC Irish Fest, that is the place to go to see them. We pack the area, and last year the Fire Marshall had to kick people out because we had too many. The best part? It was outdoors.
my dad saw them today he liked them are these guys from ireland it was at an american irish fest they look and sound like my typical american veiw of an irish band
I just worked for these guys. Last night (the 19th) They did a show for my school. It was sweet being able to meet and talk and hang out with them for a few hours. I woeked on thier production team!
I like these guys, a bit more like the Dubliners, i just checked out Dropkick Murphy's, wow, they scared me, lol, like folk metal rock, this is great!
These guys are just amazing. I had the honor to play with them at a gig in NY, and it was just awesome being on stage at the same time as them. They are truly inspirational.
The Elders will be featured in Kansas City filmmaker Ben Meade's new film "American Music: Off the Record." This clip is actually going to be in the film!
When I am running a marathon, I want the Elders in my head. When I am trying to understand quantum theory, I want the Elders in my head. The energy is contagious!
The video and commentary allows a bot of insight that you wouldn't get unless you took the time to check the band out, which you most definately should. Every show, every CD is a story and a journey in and of itself, and you are made to feel a part of it. Great music, great fun! 16 days and a wake till Ireland!
I love the video because it expresses a good deal of what the Elders are about--pleasing their fans and producing a consistent product, be it a CD or a live performance. The guys are great, and I try to see them live whenever I can.
Excellent music, excellent band, excellent guys and awesome energy! Get their CD from Borders or their website and enjoy! My entire family LOVES this band.
The Elders put on a fantastic show! We see them every chance we get. They are great guys who make sure everyone has the best time possible! Thanks for what you do!
What you see is what you get! Pure energy and wonderful music!!! These guys are down to earth and as friendly as they come! They are always willing to talk to their fans. Plese come back to Dayton, Ohio...we miss you!!!!
Cheers from your friend Bailey in St. Louis! As always, sounding great, lookin' great! I'll say this much, I'm an electrohouse/techno junkie and usually that's the only music that really gets me going, but your energy is CONTAGIOUS! Can't wait to see you again whenever you make it back to The Dubliner! By the way, do you all have any rss feeds on the net that people can subsribe to?
What you've read thus far is true! A band for all ages with life-giving music out your arse! And to top it all off the members are kind and just neat guys. I had a chance to meet them at the KC IrishFest among other places! I wish them all the best! Melissa
Absolutely one of the best live concert bands I have ever seen and I go see them whenever they play locally in KC. Racing the Tide CD is awesome and so is the Live at the Gem.
This group is the real deal. Love the energy level which is indendent of genres. Please click on my name to see other artist worth taking a look at such as Kristi Salas.
The Elders give one of the best live shows in music!! It is impossible to not have a great time when you watch them. Their CDs sound the same as they do live which makes it wonderful when I have it blasting in the CD player at home...it is like being there! I feel very honored that I have gotten to see them several times live....thanks for the music Elders!!
