Chrispou the 612 is not comparable to a 458 because they serve two different purposes. A 612 is a very traditional Ferrari as they started out selling GTs, so one can't say this isn't a real Ferrari.

With the 458 you save money on the ferrari´s and get a real ferrari, and can use the savings to spend on track day related expenses as well. The problem with Grand Touring cars is that people are becoming more extreme in their selections, either it is the supercar of the range or the saloon to get you from A to B (e.g. for BMW it used to be M3 or 760iL, but now it is M3 or a 530td).

Porsche Panamera looks too much like an Austin Maxi. It itself is a good car, but I'd take a Nissan GT-R over any Porsche. The GT-R has the same Front-Mid engine layout with rear transaxil as the 612, but it's smaller, lighter, and in some ways better 3.8L Twin Turbo engine takes less space. That said. I'd still take a Soft-top 612 if they made one.

That "big boot" is about half the size of a Porsche Panamera's boot, and both cars are nearly equal in length. Too much of the Ferraris' wheelbase and overall length is eaten up by the front-mid engine design.

Nice car for sure but if you want a 2-door with a powerful engine and a lot of space, buy a Mercedes CL 600. Much cheaper anyway.

A supercar for me has to be exclusive, and fast. Look up the Ascari A10, it's not the best looking car ever, but that's not what would make it a supercar. Check out the review Top Gear did. It's a company founded and owned by a Dutchman.

That is to me a supercar.

Most ppl would say the Veyron, but that's just a sad car, it only has a better top speed than the A10, 0-60 they are nearly the same.

I also like this car not only because of the looks and performance but also because the 612 can blend in with the real world. There are seats at the back for children and enough boot space at the back. You can take your kids to school and drive to work and you can take the car to a track and do a couple of laps or just have fun with it. It's also very comfy to drive so it is a nice cruiser as well. It is an overall practical, comfy and fun car. Well done ferrari for creating such masterpiece.
