For me the Lure storyline is way more interesting because it is rather un-soapy and so far almost exclusively about the characters. And I'm pretty sure that's a luxury the Powers That Be permit the writers because the end is near. But I can't find it in my heart to fault Noah for that. I want him to find himself a nice man and live happily ever after. Only not Luke. Sorry ;-).

Guys, take a deep breath. Sure, there are people who take the whole thing far too seriously. But on the other hand, I'm also not okay with a lot of things people say about Noah. I still have a soft spot for the guy, and I don't want him to fall off a cliff or whatever other charming suggestions people put out. And if you are sort of in love with the idea of the relationship, reading that must hurt. Hell, I like the Noah-character because of who I wanted him to be (sometimes Luke as well, btw)
Yes, either that or he wants to take relationships slow, which is something that girls and nuns do, but guys? highly unlikely, and hence the weirdness of the noah luke relationship. Perhaps it's watering it down as it would be too brave for tv to show 2 guys like they show henry and vienna or casey and emily in the past

One would think that Luke should know by now that every time Dr. O uses the words "I don't have time to...", he actually means "You are of course completely right but it would kill me to admit that because I'm such a guy." Of course he's jealous and why shouldn't he be? Doesn't make him less of a doctor though, and Luke did act very irresponsible. I'm 100% with bigastheritz. If Noah had been bandaged, hooked up to an IV-drip and a heart monitor, "idiot" probably would not seem too strong a word.

I love how Noah puts down the DVD player and yells for Luke. Like he just expects Luke to be hovering outside his door. He hates the hovering, yet totally expects it.

Agreed, Noah was way more affectionate and protective of Ameera than Luke, despite all their kisses etc, terms of the way I remember as an overall impression, and Noah is always making some lame excuse to not be in a relationship in any way shape or form. It's like they are the couple that never have sex except once in 2 years, and almost never show mutual affection. It;s like Noah is neutered and Luke is the one who wants to get it on.
With Noah's relationship with Ameera I always got the sense that there was this, gross undercurrent with Noah being happy that he was married to a woman, fulfilling the role his body and heart wouldn't allow him play out to "be a man or truly happy." He treated her way more tenderly then he ever treated Luke and was proud to be thought of as her husband. I don't think Noah was ever comfortable loving a man - especially not in the younger years the Ameera years of their relationship@her0esfan

You must not forget that the onetime Ameera asked him, how come he loved a woman before, he never answered. His character was written from the beginning as dubious to say the list. Im not sure if this is true by now, but Im very sure that he seems to be unable to provide the same security to Luke that he did to Ameera or even Madie. He is less involved and less committed. I dont know why. But sending away the person that loves you the most when you are blind, is not love, its cruelty.
@eldadevata yes, perhaps he is the first bisexual character on daytime soaps, and Luke is the gay character, and they used the bi angle to create 'conflict' and therefore a storyline, as they couldn't think of how to put 2 gay characters among all other straight ones, but now they seem to have found a way with Reid. Either that or Noah is still uncomfortable being gay and hence the same result...
Yes, I always thought that Noah is bisexual on some level. He never admitted to be one, but thats no wonder. But his character was written ambivalent from the beginning. Just look at Lukes story. He might have feared coming out, and he needed a cover, but he never slept with a girl nor did he move in with one, nor did he married one, no matter the reasons. In the end it would be clearer if he would come out as a bisexual, at least I would understand his behaviour.
Reid's 'idiot' insult would've had a better sense of proportion if the infinitely wise ATWT producers sold the idea of Noah's recovery from having major surgery in a more convincing manner. I don't know, how about shaving off all or half of his hair, applying cephalic bandages, utilizing protective eyewear for post-op sensitivity, etc. Just a thought, SMH!
I was really disappointed in Reid for calling Luke an 'idiot' during his reprimand but to be fair, Luke & Noah were in a non-sterile environment exposed to glaring, non-filtered sunlight acting as if it were just another day at the coffee shop. Not to mention, the additional, non-familial visitors: Alison & Casey - even if they do happen to work at the hospital.
The last LURE scenes were interesting...Reid asks Luke if he wants to pretend nothing happened between them...HOWEVER, it's Luke who (twice) challenges Reid to not pretend...he says "you're lying" when Reid says he wants to go back to "pre-Texas" days...and he says "don't call me that" when Reid calls him Mr. Snyder (in other words..."we're more intimate now, and I'm refusing to go back to our formal relationship").
I don't know what to say.I mean...about next week's preview.I'm not even a native English speaker,I live in Argentina so you guys understand the world more than what I ever would.But I do believe I heard a "you" between the "never see" and the "again".It's really subtle,but still...and it makes sense.Anyway,can't wait to see how this story continues.I was a huge fan of Nuke,but the story has been losing charm for a long while.Besides,Luke and Reid have an amazing chemestry! :)
Maybe Noah passes out in the hallway from the shock of seeing Reid and Luke and bumps his head or something, because Dr. Hotness already said he didn't care how Noah feels so it makes no sense not to tell him the truth
I hope the preview is misleading because it makes absolutely no sense at all and I hate to have Reid suddenly make no sense at all because his character is straight forward, honest, etc.
It makes sense - when Reid was acting on his jealousy throwing everything at Luke that he could he wasn't thinking clearly at all he is not used to having strong emotions its all new to him but once Luke calms him down and when he realizes that Luke still wants him his logical Dr hat comes back on - the reality is, is that Luke is all Noah has - and the body doesn't recover as well or at all when we are devastated or depressed - Reid is just trying to do what is best for Noahs recovery @lhola29
Here's the exact quote from the preview. Reid says, "If you tell Noah that something happened between us, you'll pretty much be guaranteeing that he will never see again."
@acwicket I saw the preview on another site and I feel that Reid said that to Luke because he feels that if Noah knew that something was going on between them, he would probably try to do something to himself to hinder the progression of his eye sight just to keep Luke dangling in his orbit. lol
The previews for next week is short and probably misleading. it looks like Reid is just speculating about why Luke is afraid to tell Noah about them. Reid said something like if you tell him about us he may never see again. I think Reid is just giving voice to what Luke believes. We'll have to see.
FYI, Re: rumors they won't be on next week -- I just found some spoilers dated the week of May 17-21 one of them involving Luke at Snyder Pond... I hope he's there with Reid, but it didn't say. So... sounds like they will be on next week Also, they are confirmed to be on May 28th and 31st.
@xxaddictseriesxx They weren't on today, but they were in the preview for next week! Reid says to Luke something like... "If you tell him what happened between us right now, I can guarantee he won't get his eyesight back." or something close to that.
I know that Noah "seeing" Luke and Reid was supposed to be the cliff hanger here...but it just ISN'T...the most intense moment of that final scene was (again) Luke and Reid themselves (whether or not Noah was watching!) As L and R approach each other, look intensely into each others eyes, speak softly, speak honestly...the touch...we're all shouting "KISS HIM, KISS HIM!"
Noah watching just seemed sort of anti-climactic to me...
Luke, don't be afraid to tell Reid the truth. That you're NOT back together with Noah and that you told Noah so in no uncertain terms!!! I think you'll be quite happy with Reid's response.

Noah so richly deserves the pain of realising that his benefactor just lost true interest in him, for all the pain that he caused Luke over the years.

Of course on soaps, nobody ever seems to really need a job or to spend anytime working. Luke can run Grimaldi Shipping and a multimilliion $ charitable fund and still spend 24/7 between Noah and Reid. :-))
As I always said, Noah is indeed a charity project, just like any other one for Luke. He helped him out of the closet, freed him from his murderous father, tolerated his erratic behaviour, supported him in his education and housing, etc. etc. This is not a basis for a balanced relationship. Ive always held the view that only equal partners can sustain committed long term relationships, even if this fact destroys the romanticised fantasy of the many. Noah has his two arms, he can work.

I must say this...I think that people are being really hard on Jake as an actor unnecessarily...Jake is a great actor and I believe he commits just as much as Eric and Van in intimate scenes...I think the reason the chemistry between Luke and Reid is so off the charts is because it's such a refreshing contrast from the stagnant and uninspired approach the writers took with the Nuke storyline previously (not to take anything away from the actors as Van and Eric are absolutely amazing)
@iTsaRuSE .........No one is hard on Jake....he is a gr8 actor. If the fans are mad that is because Noah is a jerk. He always has been. Earlier people were really hurt that luke was not getting what he deserved, now that Doc is here to offer luke what deserves and perhaps more, fans are really happy and just want to ditch noah. If I were luke, I would slap noah's face and tell him to go and find that one time guy and then go and kiss the doc passionately

Not sure if Noah was able to make out clearly whose face Dr. Reid Oliver was caressing. Remember, he vision is still blurry. To stretch out the plot, the writers might just be teasing us, and we might find Noah just thought it was two other people, or some stranger with Dr. Oliver. I hope that's not the case, but we'll see next 'Luke & Noah' episode. Can hardly wait!
How I love this doctor! He is intelligent, honest and passionate. Yes, he is passionate, under that cold surface. Luke is a lucky man. I hope they get married. I have nothing against Noah - he is a nice guy. But Reid is a much better fit to Luke. I hope Noah finds happiness with another man, maybe the guy he dated once when he was blind.
Ok, I'm just gonna say that you're dragging Noah into the Sun after eye surgery (yes, I know it's the other part, still) and Reid's yelling about rest, but god! no one thought that maybe Noah needed sunglasses to protect his eyes from the light? Not only is this documented in some memoirs (Helen Keller's Annie Sullivan for instance) But it doesn't take a genius. C'mon, fanciful plot this surgery, at least do some research and realism.
I hope the ATWT writers also don't conveniently forget that Luke & Reid are business partners on the neurology wing project because it seems they have.

Im not sure what your understanding of the concept of respect is, but it is definitely not equal with what I think of when I speak of respect. It has definitely nothing to do with childish sentiments such as finding an ironic or sarcastic statement an offense. And it has everything to do with taking responsibility for the other as a partner, and not considering the other person a robot that can shut his feelings down whenever you feel disconnected. Noah is an emotional zombie.

He helped Luke save Holden from being arrested, he actually THANKED Luke for helping him get his license back, kissed him and told him he actually wanted to do it (unlike noah), told Luke that Noah should treat him better and that someone should stick up for Luke, took all of Luke's crap after the surgery when it was not called for, is now ragingly jealous of Luke and Noah, the list goes on and on.

No matter what he does or says, he can never compare to the genuine dishonesty Noah is capable of. And because the show will end in a few months, it wont have the time to develop either. The one using Luke is Noah, but you are too blind to see the obvious.
Like I said before. We dont agree on basic concepts, such as respect and love. Calling Oliver disrespectful is an exaggeration. Thinking that Luke will end up with Noah, just because your want it so, is rather childish. I dont see how would they end up together, unless they destroy the storyline completely in the last moment. That might happen, as this is a rather bad soap, no wonder they are shooting it down, but your hopes are still unrealistic.
Its not what he says or promises but what he does what makes him so very different from Noah. He has strong will and he knows what he wants. Of course that he will not promise eternal love after two kisses. In what world do you live? Unlike Noah, who called Luke his love, and abandoned him just as easy whenever he felt like. And Oliver is just as ambitious and powerful character as Luke, that makes them far more equal, compared to this abandoned puppy, who is indeed an emotional zombie.

Your perspective is rather limited. Im not saying that he is weak based on the last months, but based on the entire storyline, that is 3 years. Serious feelings dont need words, only childish people need words. Serious feelings need actions and commitment. And Noah has proved several times that what he says has no value in practice, because when it comes to hardship he leaves. But I do wish that people like you may have the luck to find a person like Noah, you deserve it.

I find it rather amusing, how obsessed some people are with a certain character and relationship. They dont see the storyline as a developing process, where the characters grow up with time. They dont seem to realise that unrealistic relationships like the one between Noah and Luke are doomed to die in real life, and a soap, after all, is an exaggerated reflection on real life. For Luke to go back to Noah, would be like Lilly going back to Dusty or Damien.
@eldadevata Yeah, it reminds me of my ex-brother-in-law. He and my sister were high school sweethearts who ended up getting married after reuniting in their 20s. Needless to say, it didn't end well. He would follow her around trying to maul her and hug her when she obviously loathed him, yelling "This is love, this is love!!" Some of these Nuke diehards seem to be cut from the same cloth.

@eldadevata exactly, my sentiments. Nuke was "cute" but it was not realistic. I for one can see past the good doctor's "snarkiness" and see a real human being. Unlike, Noah who you aptly described as lifeless--no offense to JS. I think he's a modestly good actor. He just doesn't have the same chemistry as Eric and Van do.
Their relationship was definitely unrealistic, even by soap standards. And although there is no age difference between Luke and Noah, when it comes to their emotional stability, commitment and loyalty, Luke is far older than Noah, very much like a relationship between a 35 who wants to marry and have a family and a 16 years old who still behaves like a puppy. Furthermore, Luke is far more intelligent, resourceful, ambitious and influential than Noah. Not equal on any level.

I just hate when Reid & Luke are mad at each other or are fighting. It always feels as if one of them is gonna take things too far - saying something so damaging, that they may not be able to take back. I do love the fact, though that it seems that only Luke can tame Reid and vice versa. They're each other's Kryptonite/Achilles heel but in a good way.
What a blessing in disguise that ATWT has been cancelled. This story is moving quickly because of the Sept. deadline. If it had been typical daytime drivel, Noah would have been in a coma for months! Maybe all daytime dramas should have limited runs so we can get to the "good parts" sooner. Now we just need to figure out how to get our favorite characters into other (spinoff?) shows.

As far as the story moving too quickly I have heard that they (Luke & Dr. Reid) are not going to be on again until May 28 which is almost 2 whole weeks. I cannot believe it. @kwbalan When there are big gaps like that, I wonder if it's to allow the actors to go on auditions.. since they're going to need new jobs soon. And to be fair, there are other story lines that ATWT has to wrap up as well. But if the writers had been producing like this all along the show wouldn't have been cancelled to begin with!

Jesus, you guys! I couldn't handle the 2nd half of today's show. I nearly lost my goddamn mind! Reid's firewall's back up and he was on the warpath! I had to keep chanting - over and over, out loud - the mantra Luke came up with for him in Dallas: "Don't be an ass." Hell hath no fury like a Reid scorned. Or at least, he thinks he's being scorned. I guess this balances out when Luke went off the deep end, the other day, due to the complications surrounding Noah's surgery.
If I could, I'd send Noac packing! This guy has not only hurt Luke but he's hurt me along with many other fans. The pain and misery was just unbearable.

@tibby1991 I see it as more refusing to let one another off the hook for their behavior. It's easy to claim the passive role, the one acted upon but that's not the way it is in their relationship and when one tries to pull back, the other gets in his face about it. I really like that both of them did this. For me it shows an equal commitment to call each other on bull. Something Noah and Luke have been lacking.

@Ceares i know huh? and as much as i love LuRe...i started watching because of Nuke, like most of us. I'm glad that Noah is starting to get more screen time, He never really had his own screen time. It was like he was luke's handbag to the scenes. It's good he is actually apart of the storyline, which is stemmed from him being blind. Anyway i could keep going on and on. I'm just frustrated that now the show has become juicy they are axing it :-( but wooo more Nuke and LuRe next week
I'm totally 100% behind Luke and Reid. I'm tired of Noah the victim, who apparently has no memory of the hell he piled on Luke. Luke, that last scene with Reid was awesome. Give him the same honesty and abruptness that he gives to you -- that's what makes you two work so well together. If nothing else, I hope we all understand that "R and L" have changed one another forever.

(continued) But there are so few positive depictions of gay relationships that I guess one sort of fills in the blanks. For me the Lure storyline is way more interesting because it is rather un-soapy and so far almost exclusively about the characters. And I'm pretty sure that's a luxury the Powers That Be permit the writers because the end is near. But I can't find it in my heart to fault Noah for that. I want him to find himself a nice man and live happily ever after. Only not Luke. Sorry ;-).

Guys, take a deep breath. Sure, there are people who take the whole thing far too seriously. But on the other hand, I'm also not okay with a lot of things people say about Noah. I still have a soft spot for the guy, and I don't want him to fall off a cliff or whatever other charming suggestions people put out. And if you are sort of in love with the idea of the relationship, reading that must hurt. Hell, I like the Noah-character because of who I wanted him to be (sometimes Luke as well, btw)

One would think that Luke should know by now that every time Dr. O uses the words "I don't have time to...", he actually means "You are of course completely right but it would kill me to admit that because I'm such a guy." Of course he's jealous and why shouldn't he be? Doesn't make him less of a doctor though, and Luke did act very irresponsible. I'm 100% with bigastheritz. If Noah had been bandaged, hooked up to an IV-drip and a heart monitor, "idiot" probably would not seem too strong a word.

Agreed, Noah was way more affectionate and protective of Ameera than Luke, despite all their kisses etc, terms of the way I remember as an overall impression, and Noah is always making some lame excuse to not be in a relationship in any way shape or form. It's like they are the couple that never have sex except once in 2 years, and almost never show mutual affection. It;s like Noah is neutered and Luke is the one who wants to get it on.

With Noah's relationship with Ameera I always got the sense that there was this, gross undercurrent with Noah being happy that he was married to a woman, fulfilling the role his body and heart wouldn't allow him play out to "be a man or truly happy." He treated her way more tenderly then he ever treated Luke and was proud to be thought of as her husband. I don't think Noah was ever comfortable loving a man - especially not in the younger years the Ameera years of their relationship@her0esfan

You must not forget that the onetime Ameera asked him, how come he loved a woman before, he never answered. His character was written from the beginning as dubious to say the list. Im not sure if this is true by now, but Im very sure that he seems to be unable to provide the same security to Luke that he did to Ameera or even Madie. He is less involved and less committed. I dont know why. But sending away the person that loves you the most when you are blind, is not love, its cruelty.

@eldadevata yes, perhaps he is the first bisexual character on daytime soaps, and Luke is the gay character, and they used the bi angle to create 'conflict' and therefore a storyline, as they couldn't think of how to put 2 gay characters among all other straight ones, but now they seem to have found a way with Reid. Either that or Noah is still uncomfortable being gay and hence the same result...

Yes, I always thought that Noah is bisexual on some level. He never admitted to be one, but thats no wonder. But his character was written ambivalent from the beginning. Just look at Lukes story. He might have feared coming out, and he needed a cover, but he never slept with a girl nor did he move in with one, nor did he married one, no matter the reasons. In the end it would be clearer if he would come out as a bisexual, at least I would understand his behaviour.

Reid's 'idiot' insult would've had a better sense of proportion if the infinitely wise ATWT producers sold the idea of Noah's recovery from having major surgery in a more convincing manner. I don't know, how about shaving off all or half of his hair, applying cephalic bandages, utilizing protective eyewear for post-op sensitivity, etc. Just a thought, SMH!

I was really disappointed in Reid for calling Luke an 'idiot' during his reprimand but to be fair, Luke & Noah were in a non-sterile environment exposed to glaring, non-filtered sunlight acting as if it were just another day at the coffee shop. Not to mention, the additional, non-familial visitors: Alison & Casey - even if they do happen to work at the hospital.

The last LURE scenes were interesting...Reid asks Luke if he wants to pretend nothing happened between them...HOWEVER, it's Luke who (twice) challenges Reid to not pretend...he says "you're lying" when Reid says he wants to go back to "pre-Texas" days...and he says "don't call me that" when Reid calls him Mr. Snyder (in other words..."we're more intimate now, and I'm refusing to go back to our formal relationship").

I don't know what to say.I mean...about next week's preview.I'm not even a native English speaker,I live in Argentina so you guys understand the world more than what I ever would.But I do believe I heard a "you" between the "never see" and the "again".It's really subtle,but still...and it makes sense.Anyway,can't wait to see how this story continues.I was a huge fan of Nuke,but the story has been losing charm for a long while.Besides,Luke and Reid have an amazing chemestry! :)

It makes sense - when Reid was acting on his jealousy throwing everything at Luke that he could he wasn't thinking clearly at all he is not used to having strong emotions its all new to him but once Luke calms him down and when he realizes that Luke still wants him his logical Dr hat comes back on - the reality is, is that Luke is all Noah has - and the body doesn't recover as well or at all when we are devastated or depressed - Reid is just trying to do what is best for Noahs recovery @lhola29

The previews for next week is short and probably misleading. it looks like Reid is just speculating about why Luke is afraid to tell Noah about them. Reid said something like if you tell him about us he may never see again. I think Reid is just giving voice to what Luke believes. We'll have to see.

FYI, Re: rumors they won't be on next week -- I just found some spoilers dated the week of May 17-21 one of them involving Luke at Snyder Pond... I hope he's there with Reid, but it didn't say. So... sounds like they will be on next week Also, they are confirmed to be on May 28th and 31st.

I know that Noah "seeing" Luke and Reid was supposed to be the cliff hanger here...but it just ISN'T...the most intense moment of that final scene was (again) Luke and Reid themselves (whether or not Noah was watching!) As L and R approach each other, look intensely into each others eyes, speak softly, speak honestly...the touch...we're all shouting "KISS HIM, KISS HIM!"
Noah watching just seemed sort of anti-climactic to me...

As I always said, Noah is indeed a charity project, just like any other one for Luke. He helped him out of the closet, freed him from his murderous father, tolerated his erratic behaviour, supported him in his education and housing, etc. etc. This is not a basis for a balanced relationship. Ive always held the view that only equal partners can sustain committed long term relationships, even if this fact destroys the romanticised fantasy of the many. Noah has his two arms, he can work.

I must say this...I think that people are being really hard on Jake as an actor unnecessarily...Jake is a great actor and I believe he commits just as much as Eric and Van in intimate scenes...I think the reason the chemistry between Luke and Reid is so off the charts is because it's such a refreshing contrast from the stagnant and uninspired approach the writers took with the Nuke storyline previously (not to take anything away from the actors as Van and Eric are absolutely amazing)

Not sure if Noah was able to make out clearly whose face Dr. Reid Oliver was caressing. Remember, he vision is still blurry. To stretch out the plot, the writers might just be teasing us, and we might find Noah just thought it was two other people, or some stranger with Dr. Oliver. I hope that's not the case, but we'll see next 'Luke & Noah' episode. Can hardly wait!

How I love this doctor! He is intelligent, honest and passionate. Yes, he is passionate, under that cold surface. Luke is a lucky man. I hope they get married. I have nothing against Noah - he is a nice guy. But Reid is a much better fit to Luke. I hope Noah finds happiness with another man, maybe the guy he dated once when he was blind.

Ok, I'm just gonna say that you're dragging Noah into the Sun after eye surgery (yes, I know it's the other part, still) and Reid's yelling about rest, but god! no one thought that maybe Noah needed sunglasses to protect his eyes from the light? Not only is this documented in some memoirs (Helen Keller's Annie Sullivan for instance) But it doesn't take a genius. C'mon, fanciful plot this surgery, at least do some research and realism.

Im not sure what your understanding of the concept of respect is, but it is definitely not equal with what I think of when I speak of respect. It has definitely nothing to do with childish sentiments such as finding an ironic or sarcastic statement an offense. And it has everything to do with taking responsibility for the other as a partner, and not considering the other person a robot that can shut his feelings down whenever you feel disconnected. He helped Luke save Holden from being arrested, he actually THANKED Luke for helping him get his license back, kissed him and told him he actually wanted to do it (unlike noah), told Luke that Noah should treat him better and that someone should stick up for Luke, took all of Luke's crap after the surgery when it was not called for, is now ragingly jealous of Luke and Noah, the list goes on and on.

@jenloam, o yes, he helped Holden after Luke almost begged him and even doing this he showed that he is doing a BIG favor. He thanked Luke for help, but then said that he was just using him. As for Noah: he said one thing, then the opposite.
And i am sure 100% - we haven't even seen "the best" of him.

Again a limited view, but of another character. Oliver did all that because he was jealous. Jealous people do things like that sometime. The way you interpret his words and actions is rather amusing.
No matter what he does or says, he can never compare to the genuine dishonesty Noah is capable of. And because the show will end in a few months, it wont have the time to develop either. The one using Luke is Noah, but you are too blind to see the obvious.

Like I said before. We dont agree on basic concepts, such as respect and love. Calling Oliver disrespectful is an exaggeration. Thinking that Luke will end up with Noah, just because your want it so, is rather childish. I dont see how would they end up together, unless they destroy the storyline completely in the last moment. That might happen, as this is a rather bad soap, no wonder they are shooting it down, but your hopes are still unrealistic.

Its not what he says or promises but what he does what makes him so very different from Noah. He has strong will and he knows what he wants. Of course that he will not promise eternal love after two kisses. In what world do you live? Unlike Noah, who called Luke his love, and abandoned him just as easy whenever he felt like. And Oliver is just as ambitious and powerful character as Luke, that makes them far more equal, compared to this abandoned puppy, who is indeed an emotional zombie.

@eldadevata , of course, I didn't expect Reid to claim love to Luke, but words "I like you, I care about you" were definitely expected. That's how people express SERIOUS feelings. Of course, Reid does need them, if he wants just to have sex with Luke.
And to call Noah weak puppy is really unfair, because guy was blind for 7 months! Try it for yourself and only then dare to speak.

Your perspective is rather limited. Im not saying that he is weak based on the last months, but based on the entire storyline, that is 3 years. Serious feelings dont need words, only childish people need words. Serious feelings need actions and commitment. And Noah has proved several times that what he says has no value in practice, because when it comes to hardship he leaves. But I do wish that people like you may have the luck to find a person like Noah, you deserve it.

@Irylen I don't think you're looking at this logically, especially with the simplistic way you're speaking about relationships in general. First, Noah IS weak. I understand that coming out would be difficult for anyone, especially with a father like his. But, his wish-washy behavior? Marrying a woman? Wanting to join the army? Constantly pushing Luke away? Bitching about Luke helping when he was blind and NOW he wants him back? LOL. If that's your definition of love, cheers to you.

I find it rather amusing, how obsessed some people are with a certain character and relationship. They dont see the storyline as a developing process, where the characters grow up with time. They dont seem to realise that unrealistic relationships like the one between Noah and Luke are doomed to die in real life, and a soap, after all, is an exaggerated reflection on real life. For Luke to go back to Noah, would be like Lilly going back to Dusty or Damien.

@eldadevata Yeah, it reminds me of my ex-brother-in-law. He and my sister were high school sweethearts who ended up getting married after reuniting in their 20s. Needless to say, it didn't end well. He would follow her around trying to maul her and hug her when she obviously loathed him, yelling "This is love, this is love!!" Some of these Nuke diehards seem to be cut from the same cloth.

@eldadevata exactly, my sentiments. Nuke was "cute" but it was not realistic. I for one can see past the good doctor's "snarkiness" and see a real human being. Unlike, Noah who you aptly described as lifeless--no offense to JS. I think he's a modestly good actor. He just doesn't have the same chemistry as Eric and Van do.

Their relationship was definitely unrealistic, even by soap standards. And although there is no age difference between Luke and Noah, when it comes to their emotional stability, commitment and loyalty, Luke is far older than Noah, very much like a relationship between a 35 who wants to marry and have a family and a 16 years old who still behaves like a puppy. Furthermore, Luke is far more intelligent, resourceful, ambitious and influential than Noah. Not equal on any level.

How I love this doctor! Intelligent, honest, truthful, and passionate. Yes, passionate under that cold face. I hope Luke will marry him. Luke is a lucky man. I have nothing against Noah - he is a nice guy. But Reid is a much better fit to Luke. I hope Noah finds happiness with another man, maybe the man I dated once when he was blind.

I just hate when Reid & Luke are mad at each other or are fighting. It always feels as if one of them is gonna take things too far - saying something so damaging, that they may not be able to take back. I do love the fact, though that it seems that only Luke can tame Reid and vice versa. They're each other's Kryptonite/Achilles heel but in a good way.

What a blessing in disguise that ATWT has been cancelled. This story is moving quickly because of the Sept. deadline. If it had been typical daytime drivel, Noah would have been in a coma for months! Maybe all daytime dramas should have limited runs so we can get to the "good parts" sooner. Now we just need to figure out how to get our favorite characters into other (spinoff?) shows.

As far as the story moving too quickly I have heard that they (Luke & Dr. Reid) are not going to be on again until May 28 which is almost 2 whole weeks. I cannot believe it. Been trying to look around for more answers to this? Anyone know????

@kwbalan When there are big gaps like that, I wonder if it's to allow the actors to go on auditions.. since they're going to need new jobs soon. And to be fair, there are other story lines that ATWT has to wrap up as well. But if the writers had been producing like this all along the show wouldn't have been cancelled to begin with!

Jesus, you guys! I couldn't handle the 2nd half of today's show. I nearly lost my goddamn mind! Reid's firewall's back up and he was on the warpath! I had to keep chanting - over and over, out loud - the mantra Luke came up with for him in Dallas: "Don't be an ass." Hell hath no fury like a Reid scorned. Or at least, he thinks he's being scorned. I guess this balances out when Luke went off the deep end, the other day, due to the complications surrounding Noah's surgery.

This arguing of whom is trying to get the other is starting to piss me off R starts out to be the forthcoming one then L is and nothings happening... Oh and there was total potential for that last scene, L could have told R that he has 'feelings' and R could have gone in for a kiss.. disappointment

@tibby1991 I see it as more refusing to let one another off the hook for their behavior. It's easy to claim the passive role, the one acted upon but that's not the way it is in their relationship and when one tries to pull back, the other gets in his face about it. I really like that both of them did this. For me it shows an equal commitment to call each other on bull. Something Noah and Luke have been lacking.

@Ceares i know huh? and as much as i love LuRe...i started watching because of Nuke, like most of us. I'm glad that Noah is starting to get more screen time, He never really had his own screen time. It was like he was luke's handbag to the scenes. It's good he is actually apart of the storyline, which is stemmed from him being blind. Anyway i could keep going on and on. I'm just frustrated that now the show has become juicy they are axing it :-( but wooo more Nuke and LuRe next week

I'm totally 100% behind Luke and Reid. I'm tired of Noah the victim, who apparently has no memory of the hell he piled on Luke. Luke, that last scene with Reid was awesome. Give him the same honesty and abruptness that he gives to you -- that's what makes you two work so well together. If nothing else, I hope we all understand that "R and L" have changed one another forever.
