  • Wtf if he successfully send information to te past with effecting the universe it came from, doesn't that mean its a possibility that December 2012 end of the world thing is real? What of while it was happening someone sent that message some how way back I time????

  • it is a matter of fact that you can travel forward in time. Its not even a question

  • I should have known that the History Channel would somehow veer off onto the subject of aliens.

  • there WILL BE such thing as time travel we just have to figure it out first

  • ultimately sending anything back in time or to the future is void unless you're able to set a destination in space or time.

  • yes, and I heard stories in the sixties of a taxi cab driver striking a man that came out of the blue and killing him. But the interesting part of the story was that he was wearing clothing from the 1900's and he had old documentation as far as what was in his wallet.

  • yes.

  • No.

  • Couple of comments for Mr mallet. He bails on the grandfather paradox by saying he's only sending small matter. However anything sent from the future to the past may alter the future. How would he know if the information being sent can be trusted. It may have negative implications as well. He should stick to drinking coffee.

  • @jimahr They explained this. He doesn't believe its a paradox as he thinks there are parallel universes that can be entered without altering the universe you came from.

  • sometimes i hate youtube cuz just when i get to scientific videos it turns into screamers why does timetraveling have to be some close to alien and stuff im here to learn

  • They're going about it all wrong. You're never going to get there using machines.

  • `he studied black holes`? hes got a black hole!!

  • I am convinced it's possible...

  • That's all find and dandy if you do figure out how to go back in time... But without the machine going with you, how are you going to get back? Or even set the right time you want to go back in?

  • Here is one of the many problems withtime travel. It would place u in the exact place in the universe you are at in a different date. So if your in newyork in 2012 trying to survive doomsday, the earth move in orbit. So you could be in newyork in 2012 but you would be dead in space in 1950 correct me if I'm wrong. But think for a second,

  • @theZmanStudios that makes sense

  • if he succeeds in developing time machine the balanced of the world will be ruined..

the one that owns the time machine will become the god if this world..

and he says that black hole consists of MASSIVE GRAVITY.. so i think its a million or a billion times gravity compare to the gravity of the earth.. is there anything in this world that can withstand that massive gravity of yours and pass without even a scratch in that black hole?

  • I would go back in time and rid the world of a few monsters.

  • @myformbystorm an infinite amount of other 'monsters' would pop up. just "rid yourself" of trying to rid others

  • If I could have only one wish it would be time travel. I hope he succeeds one day. Who knows? It would be anyone's guess.

  • Great Scott!

  • One possibility is that time have already been (or will be) invented in the future. But someone tried it out and realized that it's dangerous and decides to prevent anyone from creating a time machine in the future (his past). Merely thinking this thought makes him vanish into thin air, cause noone will create a time machine in the future, because he's going to prevent it from happening. And if there never were a time machine, he will never have travelled (will travel) into the past). So simpl

  • speaking of time travel, has anyone ever thought jesus could actually be a time traveler in disguise? like he could be horus, etc etc.

  • the impossibility of time travel is an impossibility in itself.

  • If you could go back in time in an alternate universe, then I would like to go back and warn myself of all of the stupid lying bitches I've wasted my time with. I would make predictions and say it's from god when people are amazed how I could know that. I would give myself some information about what sports teams to bet on in the future and warn the world that religion is a lie. I would do this hundreds of times until the world believed me on all things and burned the present day religious books

  • I believe you could go forward in time but not back in time. Just my opinion from what I've learned over many years of studying science. If anyone has other ideas on how we could go backwards in time, feel free to educate me.

  • you can always vibrate any spacetime reality you want. everything is information laid on energy

  • I think he needs to get his ass back in time and make a better future fast and stop worrying about his fuckin daddy....

  • it is posible in theory... A rule of science, if it can be measured and quantified it can be manipulated!

  • i am not waiting for till next century

  • maybe as a particle or atom moves through its own field, the field creates a resistance on the particle itself, so rather than a gravitational field its the resistance or extra mass the atom/particle could pick up from the energy/matter field itself..the vacuum created by the energy field could contain the WSM and localise it at a rest mass state, momentum could thus increase particle mass/energy/gravity and slower time by counteracting the vacuums hold on the matter wave or waves..

  • in a few years you may also find out that gravity is also an atomic effect, an electrostatic or electromagnetic or both effect on itself and this and time are more of less the same thing, only because we observe distance or speed with time, but time depending on the amount of gravity or energy about runs slower or faster depending on the gravitational force.Time at velocity doesnt increase, it stops while outside time carries on, so you think you have turned up in the future.

  • No, time is an atomic effect, well it will be when they pull their heads from their ass and think. matter is connected to an energy field, call it the matter field, but other waves come away from that and we call them EMF or the electromagnetic field, but its all the same thing.without frequency(EMF)or distortion(matter/WSM) in this field quantum entanglement should exist in a super atom or BEC state. So time doesnt exist. The neutrino going FTL is only atomic time dilation (like a neutrino clock)

  • US GOV IS CROOK.....CIA,DEA,FBI..ETC. USAF STILL DOING EXPERIMENT ON TIME MACHINE......ITS STILL EXITESSSSSSS

  • Hey chotichatri007, I would like to know what basis you have to convey such a statement.... Can you prove it?....

  • Time machine is real deal. And US Gov got it.

  • @CHOTICHATRI007 And I've got the tooth fairy living in my closet.

  • he was a good looking kid.

  • @nannynicky4life yeah that's what I thought..really hot actually!

  • to understand if time travel is possiblel we have to understand what time is. their is no real description of what time is.

  • Ever remembered your childhood, & even visualized it as reality in your mind? "This is time traveling too". Just thinking back, to another t-i-m-e. Like a song, that's a trigger, to your memories.

Thanks for posting this, as I have several friends, who may need a lift from time to time, lol.. Dr. Mallett is an inspiration. The thing is, is that "his dad was only working out his karma, when he passed over @ that time. He exists forever, just like you. But in another dimension/timeline/life."

  • Why is there so much controversy? Because of the theory that "controversy is inversely proportional to passion!" The less that is known to people, the more the controversy! The more that is known to people, the less the controversy! So unless you people know something, stop arguing because YOU KNOW NOTHING!!!!

  • There are only eight univeses which six of them equal and similar to our univese and the eighth is the heaven which is bigger one. Because the heaven is the place for all of us!!

  • Please wake up and smell coffee.

  • Is this guy fucking retarded? Does he know anything about general relativity? The energy needed to create that kind of energy would destroy the detector. Congrats time-travel guy, you wasted your life.

  • @aqouby You can't create energy - your argument is invalid.

  • @Felzdor How so? I meant to say convert. Anyway, my point is still valid. To convert the energy needed to create a black hole with photons is too immense.

And you sound like a douche bag to correct me about something that I'm correct about.

  • @aqouby And you sound like a douche bag attacking a respected physicists. Who obviously dedicates his time and cognitive abilities while trolls like you sit your fat ass on your computer and criticize while ceaselessly failing to accomplish anything yourself. Do the everyone a favor and use what the internet is meant for. Giving miserable bastards like you a privleage to see what real human female breast look like and enough with the christopher hitchins dickriding. Think for yourself

  • @aqouby28 Apart from going to University for Physics and mathematics, I'm also spending most of my spare time researching the findings from the journal "Nature." I come across these sites when I want to get a laugh in. It's pathetic to see people so drawn into the pseudoscience other than doing the real studying of Einstein's theories and everything else that would be included for a fundamental understanding of something like time-travel.

It's obvious that you don't know the basic deep sciences

  • @aqouby28 And I do think for myself, it's just that it takes objective reasoning to understand something, not a fucking hunch. You sound like a moron for approaching someone, claiming that the scientist above is respected in the field. He's a laughing stock to any general relativist. You obviously are not one. Peace bitch, learn some math.

  • I went back in time and stop myself watching this video

  • huh, i was one that thought that - time travel can not exist because the past nad the future - pshisycally do not exist. BUT - by the new info from this YT movie - as the time machine is not switched on - so nobody can travel - it might work allright. i am very curious about it. :)

  • You can't change everything, its more about having decisions. Choices are in life, and when we keep on going back to past, then we will never learn to decide and we just keep on fooling to ourselves.

  • rock on friend!

  • People laughed at the Wright brothers when they tried to fly. People stopped laughing when they watched them fly. Just because something hasn't been done doesn't make it impossible. As for not witnessing time travelers none of us could. Once they changed history we would not know because it would automatically become a part of our new history.

  • The one fatal flaw in the belief in time travel is that, if it existed, why hasn't anybody come to visit us.

  • @Renneskid Didn't the man just say we needed a time machine to travel to? I think that seems like a logical reason.

  • if their is time travel the public will never know, thats how the gov works. they prob have cures for diseases but they wont release them thts what i believe

  • This dude is on drugs.

  • No Sherlock

  • If he saves his father, then he is never motivated to build a time machine, there for he never goes back and his father dies anyways [a paradox]

  • @hatgrass Go back, fake the death and bring the father back to the future or something similar. There are a TON of alternatives that avoid paradox. Hypothetically, you could also just observe the father's life from the vantage point of the future (through the light tunnel somehow). I really like the mechanisms Mallet describes. First time I've ever seen or heard someone else present the idea.

  • @ftplo you can't change the past. Effect can't happen before cause, + going to the past requires faster than light speeds, which are impossible for humans to reach, if travel in 4 dimensions is possible someday, it will most likely on be to the future only

  • In case this works - how will you control that in which year will you "land" ?

  • what if this present is not the original present; what if the past has already been altered! what if someone made humanity with aggression and was the cause to war and hate. And if we live in an alternate future what would have the world been like before?

  • i would go back in time by 5 minutes and fight myself

  • Had his father not past away, would Dr Mallet have thought of doing what he did? :)

  • EUREKA!

  • If it was possible, wouldn't the past be happening during the present?

  • The Past has been staged and properly manipulated in to this current reality.

  • CA what's your theory?

  • i dont think changing the past would be a good idea....better not to mess with that stuff man

  • Prior to seeing this video, just this week I had developed a really interesting theory. After seeing this, I now believe it may be possible. Would be neat to give Dr. Ronald Mallett my theory. Or anyone else within this field of research...

  • when i was in high school i used to be skeptical about this, matter.although i wish it were true.until the discovery of this collision of hidrogen made think the unthinkable...

  • i actually dont think it would be good to time travel unless its a dire situation

because you could mess with history and eliminate the future or get yourself stuck in a parallel universe which would create a glitch kinda or a paradox

  • @gin0ichimaru0tama get yourself stuck in the past * or future

  • @gin0ichimaru0tama When the universe ends there will be nowhere to escape, except back in time. But you don't need to worry about that.

  • there's things I'd like to change in my past

  • @boredstudent - don't use time-travel for that, it'll never work. that's just sci-fi, except when some really really stupid people have actually tried it for real....needless to say, they didn't tend to think things through much.

  • but you will need more brain to complete that TM project.

  • einstein was right.

  • d = vt, make t = 0, gives you rates.

don't ask how that translates to 'spins' (orbital counts etc) yet, i haven't thought about it.

also don't ask me about figuring d projected through outer space accurately, as even if i knew offhand - there's many suggestions (straying satellites etc) that we don't have exact knowledge of what forces out there are interacting with distances between points. gravity certainly alters distances between points.

  • This is full of causality. If he succeeded in going back in time and saving his father, then as a child he wouldn't develop that obsession to create time travel, therefore he won't be able to go back in time and so on. If he managed to go back in time and saved his father, then by another theory, a separate time stream would be created in which his father lives and the younger version of himself does not get obsessed with time travel, but he would be stuck in that time stream forever.

  • @Toohottorot - if you change what happened in your own life experience then it is showing how time and memory are linked. the problem with changing things is that you create splits, parallel worlds so to speak, because of all the other minds of other people whose memories would then not match up with the past they'd recorded to their brains anymore if the past is altered.

even if they don't remember everything - the memory is still there and forms the basis of why you are where & how you are.

  • @Toohottorot - example, i have witnessed some things that 'officially' can't happen, such as say someone announced as being dead and then a year later they are alive again and no-one else seems to remember that they'd been reported dead etc - now, because i am aware more of how things really are, it is nothing to me that things like that can happen, i can handle multiple fragged pasts as my sense of self etc isn't based on anything like definitions of reductionist science etc, but for others...?

  • @Toohottorot - however i also have experienced what happens when someone tries to change what has happened already but they don't know what they are doing - it's hard to describe but it feels like your aura is being ripped off your body, and that is what is going on because they are messing about with your soul etc.

you can't take events as isolated incidents, everything is a product of all your souls history that has gone before. some do it right in context of that fact, is why theirs is safe

  • @Toohottorot yep

  • What is time? Once we can accurately understand that, it might be possible to work on methods to move, at will, to the future or the past. I think at the moment we do not understand what the definition of time is. So we are stuck in the moment.

  • @bamnibaum - time is space moving. eg if a future event is pulling things towards it - it means someone or their consciousness has already projected there and started recording things in that time with their memory.

so, if you take a snapshot of universe now - it is molecules in specific locations. if a future event has been created, then it means the current positions of molecules will be arranged to become what they are in that future in the intervening time between the two coordinates.

  • @bamnibaum - by molecules i mean - all our bodies are molecules (and also standing wave forms) and we exist in air that is molecules, in space that is molecules on a planet made of them etc.

tomorrow the Earths (and all upon it around it) molecules will have orbited to a different location in space, the solar systems molecules will have moved to a different location in its orbit - it is just changes to matter / waves, is what time is.

  • @JustSomePerson888 Space is not made of molecules. But the rest of your comment I understand and it reminds me of M-theory, I think.

  • @AllTheseWorldsAreUrs - everything is made of molecules. or their constituent parts (atoms, subatomic). remember that atoms and therefore all they make up are all also waveforms. atoms get formed from interactions of the likes of what we measure as waves only.

i heard of m-theory long before, but can't remember what it is about. unless you mean that type of string theory in which case yes i'm aware of those / that one.

  • @JustSomePerson888 Erm, no you are wrong. "Everything" (by definition) is everything and everything includes everything. Assuming that you do not define "Everything" and "Absolutely everything" differently, then they have exactly the same meaning and definition.

Therefore, the empty space that exists in molecules and atoms (which is a part of everything) can not be made of atoms or molecules. There's "stuff" there, but they're not molecules or atoms.

  • @AllTheseWorldsAreUrs - i didn't realise you were meaning the space types they exist in. and for that matter that exist in them. everything else, then, is made of molecules and-or their constituent parts. if you want to talk about the space they move in, then it's all aethers (dark flow-matter-energy).

also there's no such thing a space being a vacuum, it's full of waves (what make up molecules, like i already wrote here).

  • @AllTheseWorldsAreUrs - technically 'absolutely everything' extends beyond this universe also, to what-'where' it comes from. so you can see perhaps why, being petty that way about the English language, which is hardly a language formed to avoid confusion and lies (many older languages are), can run into logical fails early on by extrapolation.

  • @JustSomePerson888 "Everything" and "Absolutely Everything" mean the same thing.

Technically if you say everything and do no exclude anything, then it means everything.

    Everything in the Universe.

    Everything in the Multiverse.

    Everything in that room.

    Everything outside that room.

Technically, "everything" includes all of the above, since "everything" does not exclude anything or limit itself.

    Have a great weekend.

  • @AllTheseWorldsAreUrs - the point - again (intelligent people wouldn't be doing what you are doing here...) - being, obviously i wasn't saying beyond this universe is also made of molecules (though some others are).

so when you began to be that side of specific as to defining that word, i was showing you that isn't any use.

i gave you the redone version, why try to male it seem like i don't know what everything means? like i don't know as soon as you posted here why.

    k.y.

  • @AllTheseWorldsAreUrs 'time is space moving. eg if a future event is pulling things towards it - it means someone or their consciousness has already projected there and started recording things in that time with their memory.

no need there to explain further it's moving is there

  • I traveled back and won a fight against my old self.

  • And this is why I'm going to become a Scientist.

  • TIME TRAVEL or a TIME MACHINE will never be possible OR be discovered. Why? Because, by now, someone from the future would've already be here, in our preset, and give us the cure for cancer or AIDS or just simply tell us - Hey, I'm from the future, check out this cellphone planted in my ear and my set of three balls in my pants.

  • @andreiamzaro - all of those things are of a limited consciousness understanding of the world. in this type of society you are not going to see any time-travellers go on tv and prove they have done so, curing any disease is known of now as is why they occur - that is surpressed also because this type of societys consciousness causes the dieases and they don't want this to be common knowledge as then it'd disrupt the control that keeps anyone trapped in linear time.

  • Time travel for humans? Or time travel for information?

  • i don't think time travel is possible yet ! but i wish it was.

  • Time is a mere convention of our human brains, to "travel" in it is a meaningless notion. Travel through time and space is not some proposition, it is simply this present reality.

Everything we know is relative and based on the conditioning of the brain. The only thing we really know is this present moment, past and future are only ideas of the mind... We can recall the past, and also speculate or have expectations of the future. However, the fact is this can only be done in the present.

  • Time travel is possible because we are traveling in it now. If you live in Washington state, and fly to Hawaii, you have just traveled back in time. Time is relative to your location. if there are 24 different times on the earth, than imagine how many different times there are to get to the moon.

  • why change the past when you can live in the present and look forward to the future. Life would not be good if you tried to change the whole world. It is a chain reaction mess with one thing then the whole world is messed up

  • They'd be able to go to the Little Planet and make a Good Future in Zone 1.

  • yes i believe anything is possible.

  • I sure as hell wouldn't go back to watch 240p videos

  • If you went back to a time before the formentioned time machine was created/existed, this would create a paradox, as the very vehicle you're using would not have been invented, and therefore could not be able to exist in that time and space...

  • @zeroTJseven With this machine - you could not travel back in time further than when the machine was first turned on.

  • @vze2hnvz Exactly.

  • @zeroTJseven thats what they said in the video. The theory is u can only go back to whe the device was created

  • All things are possible until proven to either be fact, or insufficient evidence is shown to support the theory.

  • what about learning from past and correcting the future?

  • whats crazy is that we HAVE people that warn us about future events .....but no one believes them.....

  • @LaLyNn231 thats because history repeats when the ignorant refuse to believe

  • maybe ghosts r not ghosts....maybe they r timetravelers

  • to go forward you must then go backwards with the Sporting almanac and the lotto history

  • Jesus is all we need. Only God can do this.

  • Yes But Human Life is Sort and 10 Years bgin From Birth 2nd 10 Years Will Finish University 3th 10 years Get Job and Build yor New Life and Family 4th 10 years You may get Rich Or Poor 5th 10 Years Retire Last 10 Years Human body Nearly Run out the Time .Hope this help Human knownlege Is Limitation **** H.O.W **** ???? From International Scounting Hope This Will Help

  • i have built my own time machine, but it will only go into the future and very slowly

  • why would people want to travel back in time? :O if they changed anything in the past our entire present and running day could be altered completely and horrible things could happen, i would rather go ahead.

  • First of all the discussion of Einstein, who is one of my most favorite historical people, and time travel really ignites my imagination. At mark 3:40 says, "matter and energy are different forms of the same thing". Clearly this is speaking non-technically, but one has to ask, what is the "thing" that is being referenced? At T - 4:05 Prof Mallett brilliantly states, "if gravity can affect time, and light can create gravity, then light can affect time."

  • Is time not arbitrary except that it is a unit of measurement? Or am I missing something? What is time exactly, that it can be traveled on, in or through? Seems to me that "Time" is just a concept we have developed for relative comparisons or calculations. You know, like the inch or the mile. Its a relative unit of measurement is it not?

  • Since earth is moving extremely fast traveling back in time would mean that you would have to travel through space and time.

  • I think, time moves faster then speed, the max speed of something travelling through space. Yes time travel could be possibe, If you have a calculation written on a paper of time itsself, If you figure out what it is and how it works, it would be to manipulate with it. My big questin is, how could I go Back in time, could I do it with going faster than the speed of light? would space bend back, makeing me reexperience the moments I experienced Years ago?? All this fiction, theory's, Amazing.

  • @Xquu15 it is not possible to travel in the past.present is past for the future.no one came from the future...or maybe the time is divided and you can not travel for an indefinite period...maybe 2012 is the end of a period...we see

  • @mrtibu32 Now I've started to think, time is an illusion, we all have biological time clocks in our heads, those who have travelled alot of times with planes n shit are like 0.3-1 second in the future, like we need time to use space, like an object like a phone doesent need time becouse it doesent move itsself, universe is like made from frame to frame pictures, and like if u think time effects iron(making it rust) actualy the surrounding things to that, I cant explain that well, im from estonia

  • @Xquu15 and I have alot more weird theorys about time, time is what a brain needs to use space, thats my own theory, maybe it would be possible to go into past, only if it is somesort of illusion, like, when you take a picture, you record time of a little part of the world, record every corner of earth everywhere, even in the oceans in the dirt in the sky, everything, and with a super computer or smth, you could go into that time when it was recorded. But with only high tech...good luck nasa..

  • i believe sound travels thru time at a different speed. thats why its possible to capture sounds that we understand, cause its our language 99% of the ghost hunting people allways capture voices. If you don't believe just attend one of those experiments near your own towns "haunted house" i did and you see.

  • Einstein says yes and I aint arguing with Einstein.

  • Good... now we avert the Zombie Apocalypse!! (*_*)

  • if i have a time machine i will travel back to have sex with my EX

  • @muzikeromarcus I would go back to when my wife was still a virgin,,,oh yeah But im not sure if a time machine could go back that far

  • @BADDOOKUS WAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • Kinda makes you think, im sure nasa has been picking up on messages from the future for a long time now.

  • fact: in the year 2076, scientists will discover how to time travel and go back 2076 years and make one man learn the bible and he will become the messiah.

  • I am a Muslim and we believe in Time Travel... it is possible.... We have been told this 1400 years ago but Muslims dint work on it that could be our badluck ....or Good luck whateva... but there is a concept of time travel in ISLAM

  • And yeah finally why not putting one time machine in a container and travel along with it, so that when we land into the future we place it there and we use it as Star Trek teleportation station. The question is if i kill myself now, will my consciousness be transferred to the other me before i killed myself ?

  • He says people can't travel through time earlier then the machine was built, but if you can built the machine today you could also travel to yesterday and it won't affect anything, because the time-machine is not the one that controls time-dimension it only travels through it.

  • Let's say I could agree that we could jump into past and future, but then my question is who created the space VCR?

  • Space and time is connected because time doesn't exist, time is perception.

  • First of all, how does this scientist know that i 'could' jump into the past or future? Our dimension isn't a VCR which plays a tape RW and FW! What if you disappear if you jump in that hole? It is illogical to say we could jump into the past of the future, without visiting the future previously.

  • its probably already been done just the government have kept us sheeples in the dark.

  • or simply send the information through to a person like Einstein, where he receives it as a random thought while he is working on his theory of relativity and he in turn builds the required instruments. Then, time travel will already exist in our time, or would it exist uin that other possible past, the one that doesn't effect our current lives?

  • get me a Tardis....hmmmm, how do we build receivers to catch that information?

  • timetravel is not possible coz time does not exist

  • I would travel and get my 10 minutes back.

  • I know a gent who travels who has traveled 60+ years back in time, not only does he travel back in time, he can go into the future and get the winning lottery #'s if he had to, when asked to do so, he says "the ability isn't given for ones selfish motives" and refuses to do so. I know he's not fibbing

  • @pppehaw hes taking the piss mate lol

He refuses to do so cause he cant

  • There are messages I'd love to send myself 20 years ago about mistakes to avoid making- but if my 20 year old self got them and avoided those mistakes, how would I know my lessons now 20 years later? Even just sending information, these paradoxes still come up. It makes the head spin, just like Mallett's cup of coffee!

  • @videowilliams ...EXACTLY !!! not only that but if you went back 20 years ago to warn yourself of something then 20 years ago wouldnt you have met yourself ? its a never ending loop...

  • @cfetzner not necessarily, we don't understand the laws of time travel, therefore the loop is only a theory.

  • @cfetzner say for instance, from your own perspective you have no memory of having met yourself in the past because you have not yet gotten into a time machine. For all we know, time travel could possibly create some sort of fragmented memories, maybe ripples, possibly another us in an alternate reality would meet the future us. We don't yet understand the laws of time beyond anything other than theories

  • My morale on this is that we are always transcending time but it is beyond our horizon of consciousness...to avoid introducing any paradoxes. I somehow feel this to be true. If time was not being transcended in our respect, the real value of our present would not have been possible. But that's existential certainty stuff....does not and cannot make any sense to the fundamentalist!

  • si existiera la maquina del tiempo para qe otra ves mexico tomara su territorio antiguo
