  • Wow, so beautiful...

  • I went to beautfiful parts of Ethiopia recently and discovered people who had been spoonfed hatred and told that the Somalis had slaughtered their ancestors, I went further within Ethiopia and discovered innocent people turned on their fellow Ethiopians. All you good good people, show tolerance and be kind to one another. We are all interdependent on each other and have been for centuries. Don't give into corrupt politics.

Great music and oh my what beauty!

    Peace

  • What setting do you have (if any) that lets you view Amharic text on your computer? Wikipedia says I need to allow "Ethiopic text" but I can't find such an option in my computer's language settings.

  • @aaronposehn

First, what computer do you have? MacIntosh or another type?

You might be able to download a newer language kit which has Amharic characters.

  • Very impressive lady. Although I do not understand what she's singing about, I love the song and the video as well. To those who do not like this, you’re more than welcome to stay and say nothing if you do not agree with the content… plain and simple.

  • أتمنى الوحدة بين أثيوبيا و السودان و أرتريا ..I hope unity between Ethiopia, Sudan and Eritria . That would led to a great future

  • @ northmiddle I agree with you if we don't reunited as one America or England is going to take Sudan,Eritrea, and Ethiopia like they did Iraq for oils. If we stay divide it the easier for them to take. We will be the second African-American.

  • yagere wanzu ena terara yekonjo ager gena minu teneka wub yamertal gena ethiopia first

  • Do the costumes symbolize something?I see the same ones in just about every video so I started wondering if they meant anything.

  • @Dialove2008 These are not costumes. It is native dress. City folk only wear this to parties and weddings etc. but many people in the country side dress like this24/7.

  • @jadapoo1 Okay,that makes sense. I thought it was a religious thing.

  • @Dialove2008 Yeah, it just depends on what tribe they are from and sometimes they may be from the same tribe, but a different region, and then the dress changes. All of the dresses worn in the video are worn by different groups of Ethiopians. All of them are cultural dresses.

  • Ethiopia should be called Meles Land. LOL. He practicaly runs everything.

  • Is it me or the whole Ethiopia revolves around Meles Zenawi. He is the one talking about coffee, arms, dams, tribes, telecommunications, cellphones, hotels, laptops, roads and the list goes on. Is Ethiopia a communist state or what?

  • SO proud PM Meles & Obama are working together??

ie...the special invitation for Meles at the

G-20? not only did Meles get the at lest 39bn for Africa from IMF but to his surprise it was tripled to 1.1 trillion for all!!

MP Meles for months had spoken forcefully not to forget all the new developing economies that are being affected by this downfall economy...

well not only did he have Obama's ear but OBAMA put his weight on it and the rest is history!!

  • lovely song, i expect to hear your next song, good job :D your neighbor daniel guta :)

  • I was here before, then I came back, and they started despising me. But love have conquered hate, just like a blazing light through the dark of night. And before these were written, it was also told from that village to give wisdom to all of us, so that we know how to be.

  • This is what I left out when I wrote the meaning of Bethelhm in biblical Hebrew our language that we still speak. Be=House, it also means "village", it also means "father", it has more meanings. the sound The=story, tales. Lehm=nice sweet.

You know the story that Jesus was born in Bethelhem because that story as well as other bible stories were told at the begining from house to house, told from that "village'.

"the house or the village were wisdom sweet stories are told. that is our language

  • Hello Betelhem, I don't know what is the meaning of your name in Ahmaric. But in biblical Hebrew language, your name Betelhem means " the house where people go tell sweet tales of wisdom".

    Be=house. Te= tales, tales of wisdom. lhem=Sweet.

    Nice day.

  • As Christians, we know Bethelhem as the place where Jesus Christ was born. So this is a common feminine name in Ethiopia.
