  • Needs more dramatic music.

  • Wow! You've identified the Washington lifers! Not such a rare animal, sorry to burst your bubble. There's literally thousands of them. You fail to mention what all these people did in between when President Nixon resigned and Bush took office? Sat around waiting I imagine.

I'm appalled that anyone would dare alledge similarity between one of our nations greatest presidents and George W. Bush, arguably the worst so far. It verges on criminal defamation of character.

  • As a Democrat who despises the Bush administration, I can say in the same breath that I have no hate or malice for Richard Nixon. He was a brilliant man, and indeed abused his power. He is not even remotely in the same category as the neo-con's who are determined to dominate the world, and destroy our domestic promises. You will never hear these criminals regret their wrong-doings in10-20 years. Nixon was man enough to admit regret about Watergate.

  • Comment removed

  • Both Presidents are failures marked by scandels. Both will also be known for leading the country in time of war and letting the economy fall into recessions.

Nixon however made great strides toward world peace. And Nixon's high crimes and misdemeanors hardly measure up to those of GWB.

  • That PROVES it!

  • I agree, two of my top 10 presidents of all time.

  • LOLWHUT?

  • dude what are you on krack you can reagan for that i guess he did do somthing right

  • yeah this was wierd

i think its because they are both members of the same secret clubs...like BOHEMEAN GROVE... the powerful...have secrets..and they trust very few people...who can keep these secrets!

its really sad...a secret society can never be a free one...god help us.

  • this is stupid. so they have some of the same people, so what?

  • Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

  • a okay

  • Jan 16th, congress will be back; flood them with calls demanding impeachment of Cheney! Many of our senators are pushing for impeachment, but they need our help! Make those calls on Jan 16th; make the congress listen to the people!

  • duh....guilty by association? lol wtf

thy should do a comparison of clinton and carter and call it "the two idiots who just wont STFU"

  • Only difference is that Bush is like teflon. Nothing sticks to the loser, despite his high crimes and deeply disturbing behavior.

  • There was a scare in the Washington when a man climbed over the White House Wall and was arrested. This marks the first time a person has gotton into the White House unlawfully since President Bush.

  • Sorry to spoil your excellent joke, but you forgot about Cheney.

  • good

  • Nixon=most underrated President of all time

  • a181570s, you are gentleman and a scholar. President Nixon was the most influential person of the Twentieth Century. Had JFK's daddy not stolen the election in 1960 with mob help in Chicago, oh what a better world we would have now.

  • have you got your head out of your ass ??

  • What exactly was "scholarly" about that?

He sounds more like an authoritarian follower.

  • @locobuick Nixon opened up trade with China, who now has us by our financial balls. A better world?

  • Nixon=corrupt, paranoid presidency.

  • jona910=uneducated prick

  • I have told you, stop smoking that shit It has fried your brain.

  • So this comparison proves what? That members of the Bush administration.....(drum roll)....actually had other positions in other administrations! Wow! What a thought, that people might actually have experience in their field, or that the President might want someone with actual experience to serve under him. A more apt comparison would be to see how many people who served under Carter and Clinton are now in the mainstream media.

  • Actually, a more apt comparison would be to see how many members of the Carter or Clinton administration previously served under a corrupt President. So far, I count 0.

  • Correct Jona910! The first corrupt president that members of the Clinton administration was Bill Clinton himself. You are very observant.

  • Yes he is we know that Jona910 is very observant. Sad to say that your Bush is the biggest crook of all the presidents we have ever had.

  • This is in regard to your comment that Bush "is the biggest crook of all the presidents we have ever had".

What about Nixon? What about LBJ? what about Warren G. Harding? Millard Fillmore? Andrew Johnson? James Buchanan? No?

  • For Clinton to repeat the worst President in modern time would be a mistake. And Clinton knew it.

  • do you mean that Clinton should not follow the worst president in our history?

  • Good one, Ret.

  • Maybe a good rule is how many of Bush's GOP are in jail? Plus those that leaving the sinking ship. Just like rats

  • And how many are not in jail, but should be? Let's start with Scooter Libby, who betrayed this country by exposing a covert CIA agent.

  • Iam in full agreement with you Jona 910 he was a traitor and should be sent to jail for the rest of his life.

  • @guitarguruaja That would not be apt, nor even a similar comparison. It would be like comparing apples to oranges.

  • Hillary Rules!!!!!!!! Hands Down....Heads UP

  • hillary is the same as bush, voted for patriot act and iraq war.....that enough already

  • you guys must be imbarased to have a fruit cakefor a president, what were you guys thinking!

  • Trust me, we ARE imbarased.

    We are also very embarrassed.

But we try to use spell-check whenever possible.

One last thing: Please don't refer to the president as a fruitcake. It just isn't appropriate.

    Call him a criminal.

Oh wait: is that the sound of impeachment I hear?...

  • Oh yea, there's that evil background music that I often hear on PBS whenever a Republican is being discussed.

    Highly effective.

  • The music seems more to convey power. Interesting that you should interpret it as conveying evil.

  • Spin it any way you want. Music shouldn't be used to convey anything when news is given or facts are discussed. This video is moronic! How about a "Where are they now" for the Carter administration----THE most inept of the last century.

  • No this GOP has them all beat for being dishonest

  • I can see how someone would think that---given the way the press treats members of the "opposing" party. Clinton, LBJ and JFK have been soooo fortunate that the vast majority of the press have shared their political views during their presidencies. Objective historians have not and will not be so kind.

  • Moople, you left out Reagan from that list.

  • Reagan, the man who brought down the Soviets? You must be referring to that overblown thing----arms for what? arms for what? arms for what? Ooooohhhh what a bad, bad man.

  • Wow, so Reagan brought down the U.S.S.R., did he?

And let me guess -- you probably also believe Bush has kept this country safe from another terrorist attack.

Sheesh, what a misguided soul you are...

  • How many times has the United States been attacked since 9-11-01?

  • Dozens of times, if we include attacks on the Constitution and the American people by Republican Right Wing Conservatives.

  • With that blame-America-first mentality you sound like a typical member of the press--where unfounded hyperboles like yours are the order of the day.

  • Let me guess: You would do away with the press. And the Constitution.

What a good American YOU are.

  • Questioning my patriotism? I thought that was a right-wing tactic!

Nothing wrong with an attack-dog press, they just need to attack both sides equally.

They don't! (Do you remember operation Desert Fox? Seems like it's been forgotten in the feverish effort to downplay the threat of Iraq toward the US.)Why don't you quantify or lay out just what powers you think the government should have to fight a war or list your alleged transgressions against the civil liberties of Americans.

  • Your belief that the mainstream press "attacks" one party or the other is silly. The only media outfits that do this are Rupert Murdoch's properties, such as Faux News, which has little to do with real journalism. And because they cleverly claim that they are "fair and balanced" and that all other news outlets are biased, foolish viewers believe this.

As for your notion that the press favors the left wing over the right wing: Ever hear of Monica Lewinsky?

  • Sure I remember. I also remember Tom Brokaw's (among others in the media) portrayal of the matter 'just being about sex'! Really, I thought it was about perjury and obstruction of justice. So Fox News is bad but every other network is good? BS. You are actually saying that there is no bias to the left on CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, PBS, NPR? The deck is stacked—it's absurd to suggest otherwise. Absolutely absurd!

  • The major networks are owned by giant corporations. You would have us believe that these corporations are liberal, progressive and left-wing -- i.e., in favor of the people's rights -- rather than the money-hungry right-wing machines that they are.

And that is absurd. Absolutely absurd.

  • If what you say is true why does Katie Couric still have a job? For Couric feel free to sub just about any "journalist" from 60 Minutes, NBC, CNN, ABC, PBS, NPR.......

    WAKE UP!

  • She has a job because, as a "news celebrity," she garners ratings, which equals money. It's that simple.

Oh well. Watch how the media reacts to the next Democratic president, and see how "liberal" they are...

  • Um, Couric's ratings suck!

  • I relly do feel sorry for you moople72 you must be on cheap drugs

  • Ad hominem attacks when you're short on facts!

  • Wow, you really believe the Lewinsky affair amounted to "High Crimes and Misdemeanors"?

    What a joke.

  • Are you trying to quantify perjury and obstruction of justice? Good luck in court.

  • Are you actually suggesting that a minor sex scandal (Clinton) is on a par with High Crimes and Misdemeanors (Bush & Cheney)??

This is a joke, right?? It has to be, because I'm laughing!

  • What specifically have Bush/Cheney been charged with and by what court?

  • Are you saying that you believe Bush/Cheney have not committed high crimes and misdemeanors?

  • You're not talking about facts!

  • Honestly--was Nixon more or less corrupt than JFK or LBJ?

JFK implemented the taping system in the Oval Office.

When are we going to hear the JFK White House tapes?

I'm sure many eye-opening, legacy-destroying conversations have been preserved.

  • You are certainly entitled to your fantasies.

  • most of those people served ford's, reagan's, bush41's administrations also. nixon ended the vietnam war and was at least true to his party and was not as bad as they make him out to be.

bush is a good conserative, not a good president, and to compare like this is a dishonest thing to do

  • Dishonest? The video shows facts. Exactly which facts do you dispute?

  • Both were crooks

  • Understated, yet effective video comparison of staff members of two of the worst US presidents. Draw your own conclusions.
