Wow! You've identified the Washington lifers! Not such a rare animal, sorry to burst your bubble. There's literally thousands of them. You fail to mention what all these people did in between when President Nixon resigned and Bush took office? Sat around waiting I imagine.
I'm appalled that anyone would dare alledge similarity between one of our nations greatest presidents and George W. Bush, arguably the worst so far. It verges on criminal defamation of character.
As a Democrat who despises the Bush administration, I can say in the same breath that I have no hate or malice for Richard Nixon. He was a brilliant man, and indeed abused his power. He is not even remotely in the same category as the neo-con's who are determined to dominate the world, and destroy our domestic promises. You will never hear these criminals regret their wrong-doings in10-20 years. Nixon was man enough to admit regret about Watergate.
Both Presidents are failures marked by scandels. Both will also be known for leading the country in time of war and letting the economy fall into recessions.
Nixon however made great strides toward world peace. And Nixon's high crimes and misdemeanors hardly measure up to those of GWB.

These two men will be very so much missed by me and anyone who rallies to be called a U.S. citizen loyal to this country. Thank you Mr. Bush and Thank you Mr. Nixon for making America the power we are. Our benovalence and genoristy as Americans and our right to believe in G-d and practice the profession of or choice is attributed to men like these.
i think its because they are both members of the same secret clubs...like BOHEMEAN GROVE... the powerful...have secrets..and they trust very few people...who can keep these secrets!
its really sad...a secret society can never be a free one...god help us.
Jan 16th, congress will be back; flood them with calls demanding impeachment of Cheney! Many of our senators are pushing for impeachment, but they need our help! Make those calls on Jan 16th; make the congress listen to the people!
There was a scare in the Washington when a man climbed over the White House Wall and was arrested. This marks the first time a person has gotton into the White House unlawfully since President Bush.
a181570s, you are gentleman and a scholar. President Nixon was the most influential person of the Twentieth Century. Had JFK's daddy not stolen the election in 1960 with mob help in Chicago, oh what a better world we would have now.
So this comparison proves what? That members of the Bush administration.....(drum roll)....actually had other positions in other administrations! Wow! What a thought, that people might actually have experience in their field, or that the President might want someone with actual experience to serve under him. A more apt comparison would be to see how many people who served under Carter and Clinton are now in the mainstream media.
Actually, a more apt comparison would be to see how many members of the Carter or Clinton administration previously served under a corrupt President. So far, I count 0.
Spin it any way you want. Music shouldn't be used to convey anything when news is given or facts are discussed. This video is moronic! How about a "Where are they now" for the Carter administration----THE most inept of the last century.
I can see how someone would think that---given the way the press treats members of the "opposing" party. Clinton, LBJ and JFK have been soooo fortunate that the vast majority of the press have shared their political views during their presidencies. Objective historians have not and will not be so kind.
Reagan, the man who brought down the Soviets? You must be referring to that overblown thing----arms for what? arms for what? arms for what? Ooooohhhh what a bad, bad man.
Questioning my patriotism? I thought that was a right-wing tactic!
Nothing wrong with an attack-dog press, they just need to attack both sides equally.
They don't! (Do you remember operation Desert Fox? Seems like it's been forgotten in the feverish effort to downplay the threat of Iraq toward the US.)Why don't you quantify or lay out just what powers you think the government should have to fight a war or list your alleged transgressions against the civil liberties of Americans.
Your belief that the mainstream press "attacks" one party or the other is silly. The only media outfits that do this are Rupert Murdoch's properties, such as Faux News, which has little to do with real journalism. And because they cleverly claim that they are "fair and balanced" and that all other news outlets are biased, foolish viewers believe this.
As for your notion that the press favors the left wing over the right wing: Ever hear of Monica Lewinsky?
Sure I remember. I also remember Tom Brokaw's (among others in the media) portrayal of the matter 'just being about sex'! Really, I thought it was about perjury and obstruction of justice. So Fox News is bad but every other network is good? BS. You are actually saying that there is no bias to the left on CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, PBS, NPR? The deck is stacked—it's absurd to suggest otherwise. Absolutely absurd!
The major networks are owned by giant corporations. You would have us believe that these corporations are liberal, progressive and left-wing -- i.e., in favor of the people's rights -- rather than the money-hungry right-wing machines that they are.
If what you say is true why does Katie Couric still have a job? For Couric feel free to sub just about any "journalist" from 60 Minutes, NBC, CNN, ABC, PBS, NPR.......
most of those people served ford's, reagan's, bush41's administrations also. nixon ended the vietnam war and was at least true to his party and was not as bad as they make him out to be.
bush is a good conserative, not a good president, and to compare like this is a dishonest thing to do
Needs more dramatic music.

Correct Jona910! The first corrupt president that members of the Clinton administration was Bill Clinton himself. You are very observant.

Trust me, we ARE imbarased.
We are also very embarrassed.
But we try to use spell-check whenever possible.
One last thing: Please don't refer to the president as a fruitcake. It just isn't appropriate.
Call him a criminal.
Oh wait: is that the sound of impeachment I hear?...
Jona910 4 years ago
Oh yea, there's that evil background music that I often hear on PBS whenever a Republican is being discussed.
Highly effective.
