  • where do you get the track pieces?

  • Totally confused. When does the race start? Is there a finish? I saw lane changing for no apparent reason but never to over take or even switch to the inside turn. The cars are seldom next to each other. It just looks like random going in circles. I guess the addiction is just the novelty of changing lanes yes?

  • @TheBoone57 Thanks for the comment. This video was shot originally so show my brother that lives several states away what digital slot cars were about. My 7year old and 10 year old daughter were the ones running the cars. They enjoy the novelty of randomly changing lanes and going in circles.

In reality you can start a race with a predefined number of laps and a defined finish. "Random" lane changing cab be used to pick a faster path around the track, pass slower car or take over a car.

  • This is very nice. Good size and excellect track plan.

  • @Trolleymoose Thank you for the comment, we have our track moved and a new layout set up. Hopefully I will have a video uploaded sometime this week.

  • i like the track and it is well put together god job

  • @ZMSYDG Thank you for the comment. We are working on moving the track to a different room and adding the bridge to the layout.

  • In this video we are running the cars in the jr speed mode. It's about 1/2 the speed and makes it easier for kids to race.

  • what i like most of all is the speed of your cars. you can actually SEE them as opposed to 9o percent of layouts on youtube where they are so un realistically fast. are you regulating speed? I would love a basic layout but the speed of the cars has put me off thus far.

  • @jeevanirajiv In this video we are running the cars in the jr speed mode. It's about 1/2 the speed and makes it easier for kids to race.

  • God layout!

  • ? if a car is in the pit box and another pulls in, basically you have to wait until the first car leaves correct? Is adding another lane in the pits a possible solution?

  • @Jigsaw3477 You can try and push it out, but you waste fuel.

  • @Jigsaw3477 You can pit more than one car at a time. In the video at about 2:05 the yellow car stopped to early, it should have gone a little further into the pit section to allow the other car some room. You can set up a double pit lane and you can extend the pit lane(s). I have seen some really creative pit lane set up's. Normally we have not had problems with multiple cars having to pit at the same time.

  • Yes is avalable in Zonehobbies !

  • very cool, I wan't get SCX but it's not available in canada. :(

  • That is amazing that you can fit that on a 5x9. SCX rules!

  • Our table is 5' x 9' We have been having allot of fun with this layout.

  • Really nice set up. How did you get a table top that's 5'x9'?

  • The top is a 5x9 - 3/4" thick white melamine. I work at a custom cabinet shop and this piece was the "cover sheet" from a bunk of material that we got. You should be able to find 5x9 and 5x10 at your local lumber yard. We have changed this layout to include the bridge now.
