for some reason this just makes me sad. doom 3 came out in like 2004 (?) and to be honest the graphics hasnt advanced that much. think a huge reason for that is consoles. every game gets downgraded to play on console so not a whole lot of progress being made to make things look better. just to have existing graphics work on worse hardware,

remember when 1 year in graphics made a huge difference? these days it feels pretty stagnate. havent had a WOW moment since crysis 1

@george3dmax Haha ya i know my comps shit lol its a Toshiba laptop from 2004. Whatever i dont really use it for gaming anyways, I only had Doom 3 on it. It still ran smooth just not on the max settings, it would get a bit laggy.

I'm not a huge Doom fan, but I have to admit that Doom 3 was WAAAY past the current generation. We all saw the new generation of gaming over the horizon, but Doom 3 took off like a mad dog and went for it. And it worked.

However there are flaws with the game, you can't deny it was pretty advanced for the time being.

Get the pc version if possible. Xbox version looks muddier and whole rooms are deleted from the pc version. Only thing the Xbox has that is arguably better is its multiplayer, which frankly I could give a shit about.
