I understand why the crushers were scrapped (they look too cliché and too cartoony), but why they removed the pneumatic diversity vent? It would be awesome to vacuum turrets and other things like in the video.

@TheSp310ha I don't recall anything in the full game that looked like demo chamber 1... Especially since they removed the pneumatic tubes before release. Which is sad because I was hoping to get that bit in the game where the tiles fly off the walls and another set of walls replaces them. :(

The level with all the crushers and the repulsion gel wall to wall bounce wasn't in the game. Although a miniature version of the wall to wall bounce was in the old testing chamber, it was sort of disappointing. The levels at the end of the video were the coolest but sadly it wasn't in

Why did they have to put in the Cave Johnson parts at the end? That test chamber looked so much better when it actually looked like it was meant to be in a Portal game. Anyone else hate Chapters 6 and 7?

@Pokeyph No, not at all. The point of those sections was to continue the testing further in a less redundant area. Do you really think you wouldn't get bored of the shiny white test chambers if you had to do like 30-40 of them in a row? The 70's and 80's Aperture areas were, in my opinion, a great way to change the look and feel of the game while also introducing an important new character. They also fit nicely with the story. Seems pretty harsh to jump to "hating" them just because of the look.

The biggest disappointment for me from these trailers was how most of the tests weren't nearly this deadly. The crushers were hardly used, and the turrets weren't as frightening. However one thing I did like was rather than the sequel being a longer version of the first game with you meeting a few friends like Wheatley, Rick, Space, and Fact sphere on your quest to kill they made the facility have different personalities. The narrative was definitely much stronger if only in graphic design.
