This case is as if some corporation had trademarked the words, grand opening, clearance sale or any other common business term so that none could use them without making royalty payments. Why should it be illegal to name a coffee, specially blended for Christmas, a Christmas Blend? I never cease to be astounded by the utter viciousness of the "highly successful" of this world!

I am glad that the monastery is able to make and market their coffee but just a small reminder. It is capitalism that allows private individuals and or groups to manufacture, market and sell goods on the open market. In a true socialist system everything is controlled by the government.

@BorislavX Communism is bad. Period. But Capitalism can be very bad for the worker, as the first century of the Industrial Age proved in America, Britain, France, and Germany. And as the Age of Oligopolies has demonstrated, large corporations (like McDonald's and Wal-Mart) can overwhelm smaller mom-and-pop - or, as were the case, Father-and Brother - shops. A mix of socialism and capitalism seems to reduce the downsides of capitalism.

But I would someday like to see what distributism is like.
