Guys, I'm pretty sure that car is one of those litre cars that are really small. Just compare the wheel diameter with the honda at 00:18. Reason car was damaged that way, I would not commit myself in saying that it was not safe to be driven. Just bear in mind the weight of the lorry, and also the weight of the goods it was carrying. Plus, it was sandwiched btw 2 vehicles. Important lesson, check rear view mirrors, avoid driving in front of heavy vehicles. Be safe to all. =)

for sure he wont know what hit him. the lorry driver was a foreign indian driver who lost control of the lorry and plunged into the car, flattened it in an instant, the driver was like a sardine.
do u guys know how come they will accident until so badly?.. it is easy .. as u know .. raining day.. when raining day.. i always heard 1 to 3 accident in singapore..
ill tell u why lol, i stay there and saw the accident with my own eyes... the truck at the back did not had much time to break & usually everyone drive really fast on that lane had no idea why maybe just wanna pass the traffic light. haiya trajic la this one... i was playing my com then looked out the window the truck jsut bang the care then hit the next car then hit the bus....no time to call police but TP was there already
its got to do with where the bars at the edges of the cars are reinforced. because the reinforcement of the red car is lower than of the car and the lorry behind, it got crushed easily.
had the red car been built better it may have turned out different. the damage to the grey car isn't all that bad considering the lorry pushed a car into it. maybe the red car was flimsy and not up to safety standards.
@gunznice the speed is partly due to that stretch of loyang ave being a downhill road, and partly due to the wet post-rain conditions too (check out the dark sky and some onlookers with umbrellas still). always be careful on the roads folks. and never take our loved ones for granted. we can never know when our goodbye to them in the morning will be our last.

this loyang ave road is a long down straight slope..so it adds to the impact too...the best practice is to slow down and be on high alert.

this kind of accident, even if it was a Volvo (built like a tank) wld have also been crushed/sandwhiched flat by the lorry.

its got to do with where the bars at the edges of the cars are reinforced. because the reinforcement of the red car is lower than of the car and the lorry behind, it got crushed easily.
