You don't need software to do this... just seam two pictures together, or paste both pictures into one bitmap or jpeg, twice as wide as your screen (if both monitors are the same size). Then in your videos cards control panel, or windows display properties, just span the new picture across the extended desktop. I've done this on ATI and nVidia dual heads cards.
I'm waiting for my dvi adapter so I can hook an acer monitor just like that one which I paid $2 for at a yard sale to my $25 used eBay bought 8500gt 512mb
