I don't understand how the Traveler ship destroyed the Asgard ships which might have been Ancient ships since they could pass thru Atlantis' shield...Traveler ships were junkers

I had a problem with the lack of fighters defending Earth. If Russia and China have the ability to use BC 304s, you think they'd have more then a few F-302s to throw into the melee.

i really liked the lasst episode cept there was one little problem i thought up, the ancient chair in area 51 was destoyed but the chair on atlantis should have instantly compensated for that and the drones on earth should have attacked the hive as well, think about it, early on in the series atlantis had almost no drones, but then got more form another planet and they worked fine, and one was even fired off without a chair, just pointing that out... and they could have used jumpers close up...

@apollo967 I felt cheated in that they never showed it. It was just kind of a oh look, we made it with no visuals. Also, the hive stopped firing in the scene before it exploded.

@Ryac3 actually the worm hole drive would look completely like using the gate. you would see something like the accretion disk of the surface and then u would enter and see nothing.... lol. u would just BE there. there is no transition in an actual worm hole drive. u disappear from one point and appear instantaneously at another... not like the stargate which has buffers.. etc.

@apollo967 They had to be cautious. We'd all already been expecting that to be the last episode (and a helluva episde it was). They could've used 3 aditional episodes to have Atlantis get there. As for the chair, the chair isn't remote-control. It has to be hooked up to the "drone tank" (what holds all the drones).

What episde was one fired w/o the chair?

@Joao2Pedro no it wasnt, there was a chair at the antartic station, but it was moved because it was considered a weapon, so they moved it to area 51 for study, and when the wraith attacked they bombed it, but that shouldnt have mattered, all the drones on earth should have been detected by the chair on atlantis when it arrived and beckett should have been able to use them...

@gubaguy actually, no, because their launch pods weren't "connected" or syncronized with Atlantis chair... That would need a bit more of work to be done... And besides, it would be too much boring if atlantis didn't engadged them in a fight : D

@gubaguy really late but i full agree. plus if this hive was attacking earth they should have had some F-16s and other fighter jets taking on the darts. i mean that would have been awesome. 1 squadron of F-302s is supposed to defend earth? that didn't make sense i mean they had F-302s on other planets and only 1 squadron on earth...plot hole. otherwise i thought it was a good idea but too short to take place in 1 episode.

@DBZ1253 remember, the US had to keep the incident secret form anyone outside the SGC and a few people in the pentagon, they couldnt just order the air force to attack something they know nothing about... and we all know the US government would rather have the US destroyed then give up a few secrets to the entire world...

@gubaguy good point. but what is dumb is that its area 51 they should have had some railguns around the damn chair i mean come on. but ur idea with the chair should be correct i mean the base on earth was just an outpost left behind from Atlantis the Atlantis chair should have had control over the drones from earht as well

@DBZ1253 I would think that the drones on earth would have different command codes than the drones on atlantis. You would probably have to reprogram them before atlantis could make use of them. As for the drones they got from the other planet, those could easily have been taken back to atlantis and reprogrammed to integrate with atlantis command and control. What you're suggesting would be like 2 navy ships side by side and one fires the missiles off the other once it's bridge is destroyed.

@Valrin7236 i don't think so. The outpost on Earth used to be part of Atlantis. So the chair that controls Atlantis should have overrided the chair on earth. its not like 2 navy ships together. a missle can be fired from a certain base but the one that has command for example Norad can override that control and fire the missles from a certain base. so it doesn't make sense that the drones were launched.

@gubaguy The problem with that, was that Carson was in control of the chair. He could barely keep things under control, let alone fly the city and fire thousands of drones.

That said, the finale was so rushed, you could see the plot holes from a mile away. I just wish MGM and Scifi gave them more time, to wrap correctly.

stargate atlantis in my opinion waas the best, sg-1 there were a few plot holes and the taur'i (us) hadnt developed any ships which was annoying and in universe its just a massive emo drama

atlantis was the best! put it back on sky 2 at the regular time!

It does sadden me, tbh. I was looking forward to a movie.

Another 4 man team that also goes out and saved the day in the last minute with no real character depth, i loved SG1 and SGA but i also love SGU, because its not the same things as the other... becasue its diffrent... because SG1 and SGA are wayyyy to simular..

Difference is, this cast isn't evolving. Nothing is changingg.

Year, sure, you got some sub-characters dying off, but nobody important. Nobody being added either. It's the exact same cast as it was years ago.

Also, the show is still young, lol Voyager went on for (correct me if im wronge) 8 seasons? the show is still young and had alot of potential IMO all i wanted was atleast 5 seasons from it... that would be plently of time to judge it for me

@lordolemons Okay... that's different. voyager continued for 8 seasons, so they weren't compressing all that storyline into a short set of episodes. They killed off one main character, replaced her with seven. They had relationships develop, babies made. The crew grew to become more like a family.

SUG - Should have similar amount of things happening at a far rapid pace. It isn't even going to a third seasons. By now, at least two people should have died, replaced by 3, and we should see at least

If you remember in the "First real [lame] space battle" the two guys in the shuttle were blasting at the fighters. I guess those peeps were fine with that, cause they just kept dying. They didn't even shoot back.

@TonyEvans96 the drones... the mechines and have been following them since early 2nd season... and in the first couple seasons of SG1 their only enemy was the Jaffa and only acouple Goa'ulds.. im just saying you cant compare this show to the others becasue its only 2 seasons and the others had so much more time for then SGU

@lordolemons If the devolopers couldn't look farther than 2 seasons, the show should have been delayed or canceled. To make a show, no matter how much potential, go for only two seasons is a waste of time, money, and actors.
