Well it's true.

I just love Versailles for making amazing songs. They look amazing, don't get me wrong, but I just hate it when people argue over their looks rather than the music they make. It seems like they completely disregard the music they make.

@XxxXdeidara69XxxX I absolutely agree with you. These ARE uniforms - just another medium that creates specific atmosphere which is in chime with their music. It's like an intensifier. Besides, even Hizaki himself said in an interview he considers his dress as a sheer uniform, nothing more - which, on the other side, doesn't mean that such manner of clothing doesn't affect the impression we get about their songs. On the contrary.

Not exactly.

Versailles do not wear their costumes outside of performances, interviews, etc. I highly doubt that they wear their costumes during recording sessions for their music or while walking down the street. They dress in casual clothing. This is just an image they keep for the Visual Kei scene which is why I consider their costumes as uniforms for them. It keeps them in character.

An their music has changed, but talking about them selling themselves?They never were hardcore power metal to begin with. Of course they have softer songs, that's part of their style. And they can still blast us with crazy power riffs while doing it. And them experimenting with their music is not a bad thing, otherwise they would get staignant and fans would be: They are the same over and over!

People is overeacting. What do you want, Versailles to stay the same forever? This alternate costumes are going to be a temporal thing for sure, and they will go back to their traditional costumes. But I think they really should try to evolve their "theme" a bit. We have seen them as Renaissance nobles. Why not trying a pirate-ish look? Or a XIX century look? They can keep their design as original as the current ones giving new styles their own twist.

Come on people, the title of the song is Philia. Philia is the Greek word for brotherly love. The all black costumes help to symbolize the band's brotherly love for one another. They're not going to change their image, otherwise they'd have to change their name. They'll always have that Rococo-esque look. As for the song, it's great. The name Versailles makes me think beauty, and this song is amazingly beautiful.

The song sounds like it could be good, but I just want to cry seeing this footage. How could they wear such things? This just isn't the Versailles I know and love. It looks like they're changing into a non-VK band but sticking with the VK title like bands such as The Gazzette. I hate this and I am thinking of cancelling my order of the Type B version . . . Very sad and dissappointed in Versailles. I hope this is a one-time thing.

@NeoNebula0Katana They did the same at some parts of the Ascendead Master's PV. In my opinion, their "normal" cosumes are omfg, Masashi looks so rlz... And this thing of turning into a "nomuro/white kei" band for a PV, is typical in Versailles (Ascendead Master and PHILIA only, lol), and I'm sure that following PVs will have the "traditional" Versailles look that we love.
