You still haven't explained how dash-jabbing will somehow beat someone doing a long ranged poked.

@Mightfox Oh. And pro-tip. Bang's 5A is 5 frames. If you hit that at the same time they mash a "long range attack" you win because your attack is faster. :3 And has better priority. Long range attacks are slower and have more start up.

If you are at long range, there's a chance his jab could hit the startup of your attack(ragna 5b for example), but if your longer range attack actually has priority(jin 5c, mu 5c, etc, etc) it will completely win out. At the worst, at long range his 5a hitbox might hit a vulnerable extended part of your poke, but then you trade and you will get more damage then bang and have him at range.

Essentially what they were "able to pull off" is about equivalent to figuring out the controls in a shooter. Sure, if you know left trigger is grenade and right trigger is shoot someone's gonna die, but that's not the same as someone who knows anything about the game (combos, blocking etc for Blazblue/map knowledge, proper use of weapons, accuracy etc for a shooter) getting a kill because of skill.

anyone knows who hasn't even touched blaz blue that hakuman is a mash buttons/connect and you kill people due to insane damage type player. i mean you saw it....a 9 hit combo doesn't finish the guy off? blazblue is cool, but i find that on this type of stage(i.e. between people who have barely touched it) it can be VERY unbalanced, as the chick ends up proving).

It doesn't take a pro or a freaking month with the game to learn how to hold back the control stick. There's also a nice little tutorial section that tells you all about these basics. Seriously, all Kat did was j.2Cs and 4C. Reckless j.2Cs can be answered with a simple 6A and 4C can be beaten by blocking or jumping towards her.
