I read somewhere about that version of the Connaughtman's Rambles being one that Seamus Ennis used to play. I think that B part is 1,000 times better than the normal version. I've only heard it played like this by two other people (Dale Russ and Todd Denman on their CD).
God I hate the Connaught Man's Rambles! It is waaaay too overplayed! Liked this though! And he plays the second part the same way I used to...before I realised that everyone else plays it differently!
You can't hate it just out of spite because everybody else plays it as well. Actually, thats a pretty good reason to not like it. But it's still a great tune.
The master box player. His wife - seen in this video - is also a tremendous box player.
