Hearing "hometown" always gets me nostalgic for my own hometown. Except for the part about waves and seagulls. Because I grew up, you know, more inland.
All that instrumentation some have said makes Joe better is just fluff! This man is the real deal, and to experience him raw like this is a rare opportunity to witness his greatness.
Thank you so much for sharing the moment with all us JJ fans!! Merci!
i respectfully disagree on that on. i never really care dfor the slowed down versions of great songs. Once you hear them with the full band and that emotional beat...ya just cant go back...nor can you go back to your hometown!
great song great performer

Merci Christophe!

Why do the dorks who clap at concerts always clap on the off-beat? Do they want reggae or are they just dorks?
Just wondering.

Maybe because syncopation is more dynamic and interesting than clapping right on the beat. Not so dorky for many musicians.
Cheers

"Hometown" is so much better with just a piano and him singing, rather than a full band. Sometimes less is more.

I love stepping out with no band though. It takes on a more frantic and driving tone. The studio version is a bit more bouncy.
