so it working fine and everything but now i need to get onto the second disk.....

which it wont let me do ...

ok en the problem i have is, when i tries to find anyfile, it gives me the files with extentions, and they are in gray and i cant click on it, the game file i downloaded is with .cpt is it the right file type? i also downloaded .dat .dnr and .dsk . none of them worked in the scummVM (same problems) i tried to use virtual drive to run .dsk but still it says no disk. wut seems to be the problem?

hi....lst time i was playing monkey island...and after playing for a while i closed scummvm and later i opened the game agin and it wasnt saved even tho i changed the sttings putting to autosave evry 5 minutes...and so i had to start all over again...wud appreciate if you tell m how do i save the game tho!

You just need the game files for games built off of the "Scumm" game engine.

With my playthrough of CMI, I ran into exactly the same problem (hence the poor quality on one of the videos around the middle). If I recall correctly, I fixed this by creating another game, using the second disk, and then played the game from there. However, I could be remembering incorrectly. I may have simply swapped the disk until the problem subsided. If this doesn't work, PM me, and I will try to find out more. ScummVM. org's forums probably will help if my advice doesn't work.

You can find Lucasarts games on ebay and amazon, or you can download some freeware games off of ScummVM . org. (You can also find some online for free, but I wouldn't know anything about that :P.)

No, it only plays games based off of the ScummVM programming language. A good emulator for GBA games is Visual Boy Advance.

Since Grim Fandango is built in the GRIME engine it will not work with ScummVM, (although you probably already knew that). A solution to this is that in Europe, a set of reissues of these games were made in a "Lucasarts Classics Collection." Each individual game is the same, only it can also run in Windows XP. They also made these for Sam and Max as well as Monkey Island 3 and other classic Lucasarts games.

yeh i know, but my game is kinda screwed up coz its scratched, and scummvm can run scratched games by copying them to hard drive, so im looking for program like that.

Wow, should have replied to this one. Couldn't you just get a disk cleaning instrument, or a disk cleaning service?

its more complicated than that. the computer recognises the damage from the scratched disk only, which makes it stuff up.
