Bless all you people who have worked to help Mercy. She looks like my boy Sarge and it tears me up to see a dog treated so badly. Let's all hope she has a Happy New Year...
11/20/08 Mercy is now up to 50lbs and is looking at possibly leaving the hospital to go to foster care. She continues to amaze us and Dr. Good. Her personality is starting to show through and she is very gentle and loves all the attention she is receiving. The girl has been through a trauma and still loves people. She will make someone a perfect companion. I truly believe she was meant to survive so that she can make a difference in someones life.
Tuesday 11/11/08 Mercy continues to amaze us. She is still gaining weight but is a long way from being ok. During the time of her starvation her body had to turn on itself to keep her alive. Her blood tests show that there is damage through out her body. It will take months for Mercy to be recover and we are not sure to what extent she will ever fully recover. She may have long lasting ailments from her compromised immune system and the damage to her bones and major organs. Keep Praying!
Mercy has now gained 7 lbs and that is a huge sign that she was just starving and hopefully not a sickness that has caused her condition. We will keep updating her progress for those of you wanting to keep track of her. We will update with another video soon.
