I though republicans don't have a leader for their party...that's what ann coulter said. It makes sense because most of them running around with their head cut off.
See Steele, you not fit in, you not bring the black vote, neither do you make see white spoiled motherfuckers GOP rich boys more like people who fighting for justify and equality. So Steele the house nigger, they have to fire your ass now.
Wa-hahahah, Steele is a complete joke. America wants something different, less than a year after inaugurating a President elected because we all wanted SOMETHING DIFFERENT. What a moron.
Sorry Steele, trying to being us the GOP "Hip-hop party" aint gonna work, no matter how "street" you try to make it. The GOP is a lost cause and no phony Tea-party crap will breathe life back into its dead philosophy.
And BTW, how can his critics "fire him"? Unless they're his fellow GOPers, it makes no sense.
What change could the Republican party possibly give America? Are they going to suddenly become real conservatives and want an isolationist foreign policy instead of policing the world? Are they going to legalize all drugs and start actually separating church and state (AKA stop with the pro-life bullshit)? I'm impressed Steele's talking with balls but he's still full of shit.
as far as cons go, Steele isn't bad. But couldn't any normal thinking person have predicted this outcome or am i just psychic? It reminds me of the sideways glances I'd get when i said bush was out to gut the treasury.
@LarcheOsborne exactly what the party needs. That way the party can be returned to one that supports the constitution and personal liberty. Right now its just democrat lite.
The freedom-loving Republican Party of Lincoln T. Roosevelt is dead. The Republican Party of today supports corporate welfare and the liberties of industry. They have long ago abandoned the causes of working men and women.
I would agree Republicans don't support liberties anymore, but it is incorrect to say that they support corporate welfare. Look to the democratic party, particularly this last year to see that. We have a union of big business and gov. now that can be defined as facism. Its not pretty and if gov. doesn't start respecting the will of the people and their liberties then we're going to have a French Revolution on our hands and nobody wants that.
Don't take my work on the Republican welfare for big business, look at the legislation they passed in the first six years G. W. Bush was in office.
As for the American government being fascist, I suggest you read up on fascism in Spain, Italy, and certain other countries where fascism actually existed. You are misusing that word.
Tax cuts are not corporate welfare. Its never welfare allowing people to legally keep more of what THEY produced!
Perhaps you should read up on history....there is a misconception that facism was right wing. You wont find a single facism gov. that was small in size and defended peoples personal liberties.
"..there is a misconception that facism was right wing. You wont find a single facism gov. that was small in size and defended peoples personal libertie" It is you that should read up on history.
There hasn't been a right-wing administration in recent history in this country that was small in size or defended people's personal liberties.
Do you believe the tripe the GOP spreads when it claims to be the party of small government, fiscal responsibility, and civil rights?
Corporations are legal entities. They possess individual rights and those rights have long been recognized by the 14th Amendment, longer than your rights have in fact. Governments offer big business a massive number of rights, including sometimes seizing the property of individuals and giving it to industry at discounted rates. The government grants big business vast numbers of other resources at the expense of tax-payers. There is nothing roung with asking them to pay their way.
If you truly believed fascism is left-wing, I suggest you do some real reading on fascism. Take for example Hitler: anti-abortion, pro-gun rights (except for "criminals"), pro-big business, pro-capital punishment, anti-immigrant, pro-religion, public school content decided by religious leaders, anti-Darwinism, and so on. Sounds sort like the Republican platform, doesn't it.
You are working from the premise that the left wing is the democratic platform and the right wing is the republican platform. A much better way to look at it, a more realistic way to look at it is complete gov. control of ones life on the far left and anarchy on the far right. So even if a facist leader promotes a few of the things that are popular among those on the right, doesn't mean he is a right winger when he is enforcing it by the strong arm of his govt.
I've seen both liberal and conservative anarchists. I am what you would call a left winger, and I harbor few sympathies with anarchists of any stripe. Most anarchists I've seen are libertarian in nature. As someone who is extremely liberal, I support freedom of speech, freedom of and from religion, freedom to vote, assemble, and petition, due process, individual equality regardless of race, creed, or religion, and I am pro-choice. These are a few of the things liberals such as me stress. (contin
Fascism, when taking root in Italy, spreading to Germany (under its most severe form Nazism), later being promoted under Franco in Spain, always drew its most ardent supporters from among conservatives. Most -- but not quite all -- conservatives advanced Hitler bid for power in 1933. As with the more traditional fascists in Italy and Spain, German industrial leaders, bankers, conservative military veterans and leaders, and right-wing politicians made it possible for Hitler to assume power.

You are correct. The GOP followers seem to believe Communism = Fascism = Socialism = Democrat. They have become the modern equivalent of the Know-Nothing Party. They are opposed to everything the Democrats support, but refuse to state their own views. They are reactionaries, teabaggers, and Birthers. Lincoln would cry if he could somehow see what has become of his party.
Corporatism at an extreme level (which we don't have) is only one aspect of the definition of fascism.
From the OED: "fascism • noun 1 an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government. 2 extreme right-wing, authoritarian, or intolerant views or practice."
The classic definition of fascism fits the GWB Admin. almost to a tee.
Actually for that definition to be correct Hitlor and Mussolini would have to be "right wing" and that was not the case. They were both socialists. For example Hitlors party was CALLED "The National Socialist Party"
The definition you read was designed to spoon feed you what you want to hear. It has no bearing on actual history.
Hitler and Mussolini called themselves socialists but their regimes were nothing of the sort. Likewise, Stalin and later Soviet rulers also claimed to be communist, but again, there system of government didn't even resemble a classical definition of communism. Self ascribed definitions are meaningless.
"It has no bearing on actual history. "
That's rich, coming from someone who has such a demonstrably slender grasp on history.
I'm truly amazed that you can't understand that simply because a person claims to be something has little or no bearing on whether they are what they claim. It's is no different than the GOP claiming they are the party of small government and fiscal responsibility. They are not what they claim.
By classical definition socialism and communism are both political ideologies that put the citizenry first before politicians and bureaucrats.
You are assuming I call communism communism simply because their leader called it that. By your definition Communist china, Russia, North Korea, etc..are indeed Communist.
If you think Communism and Socialism really put the citizenry first then you've completely lost it and have a faith in your leaders that is completely unsupported by their past actions.
Why don't you come out and call yourself a communist?
communism • noun 1 a political and social system whereby all property is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to their ability and needs.
socialism • noun a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
See you have to defend communism with everything you've got because you still think some yahoo can come along and do it better than all the failures of the past. Thus history continues to repeat itself.
We'll have to disagree to disagree. But if you so badly want to find somebody to control your life swing by Minneapolis and i'll get you a job pickin cotton that pays in just enough food to keep you alive.
in theory america is a communist country and has been for some time. the only difference is that our two party system and the three branches of goverment regulate the balance of power. Both political parties serve an ideology that rations capital to there respective constituents. ultimately the people hold the power through elections. elections that are based on the political machineries ability to manipulate perceptions.
When i say will of the people i am referring to the vast majority of folks who opposed the gov. indebting them for years in an effort to prop up the rich in our country.
Also, as it sits right now socialized medicine is opposed by 61% of folks...that is against the will of the people. We effectively have the minority ruling this country and the majority will boil over one of these days and i'll be among them.
" i am referring to the vast majority of folks who opposed the gov. indebting them for years in an effort to prop up the rich in our country."
Don't find it a bit odd that most of the people pissing and moaning about spending now said absolutely nothing during the 8 years Bush and the GOP plunged our country into nearly insurmountable debt? Those polls are meaningless.
" right now socialized medicine is opposed by 61% of folks."
If bush's debt accumulation was "insurmountable" how best would you describe Obama's?? haha
It is true not enough people stood up against bush's spending but whats it to you? Are you complaining? Democrats rather like the spending Obama is doing right now.
Either way regardless of who complained when, our debt is going to cause economic collapse within the next few years.
Its blatantly obvious that Michael Steele got the job because of our president's got a lot of melanin. Come on GOP faithful, even y'all have to admit this dope's main qualification was blackness.
Either you vigorously defend him as the BEST person for the job ( that dog don't hunt) or you admit he's a token by firing his ass and replacing him with someone competent.
The main qualification for the position is to uphold the sacred tradition of ninja-level lying, the hallmark of the GOP.
Those White GOP Senators, and Congressmen are not going to like this at all! Especially the Southern ones. Goodbye Michael, it has been fun watching you sink the GOP credibility over this past year. Hopefully the GOP continue pushing morons like Steele, Palin, Cheney, etc. to the forefront because America sees right through their bullshit.
It's a pity. Stewart and Colbert will actually have to start working for a living, now. No more having Michael Steele (or George Bush) write their material FOR them.
I'm sorry Mr. Steele, you represent the people. If you are telling the people to shut up, you're doing something wrong. But then again, I'm not a republican, maybe they want their elected leaders to tell them what to think.
I hope for everyone's sanity that they do fire you though.
@JurassicCock255 its not like the democrats are any better, americans don't have much choice in terms of elected officials, its just a barrel of jackasses vying to rob you
Hey, Canadians at least have four parties, two major and two minor, with the minor parties capable of holding the balance of power and holding the major parties to account. They also have at least one province that's experimenting with the single transferrable ballot.
Four parties and a transferrable ballot? Sheesh...sounds like a utopian dream.
don't be so sure, Republicans did put in place the first black and the first black woman secretary of state as well as the first black chairman of the joint chiefs of staff
I'm loving watching his uncle tom ass make a fool out himself. I'm not saying obama and the democrats are any better cause they fuckin the country up big time, but the gop leader is making it more harder for the republicans to gain any momentum.
Yeah Obama fucked up the country when he was only 1 day in office!
Gotta give him credit though that he's able to fuck it up so fast. Must be some kind of record and we all know it's all Obama. Bush doesn't deserve any credit!

Part II: From the OED:
communism • noun 1 a political and social system whereby all property is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to their ability and needs.
socialism • noun a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

Both political parties serve an ideology that rations capital to there respective constituents. ultimately the people hold the power through elections. elections that are based on the political machineries ability to manipulate perceptions.

when u say the "will of the people" which people are u talking about ?
You cant be talking about democrats....
We support Obama .....Even tough i voted or Hillary before voting for Obama
JurassicCock255 2 years ago

Do those same 61% oppose Medicare?
kaysandesses 2 years ago

Bunnicula71 2 years ago
Those White GOP Senators, and Congressmen are not going to like this at all! Especially the Southern ones. Goodbye Michael, it has been fun watching you sink the GOP credibility over this past year. Hopefully the GOP continue pushing morons like Steele, Palin, Cheney, etc. to the forefront because America sees right through their bullshit.

I wouldn't be surprise come 2010 democrats and republicans lose all there sits in the HOUSE and SENATE. Maybe things will be a whole lot better.
harlem0987 2 years ago
It's a pity. Stewart and Colbert will actually have to start working for a living, now. No more having Michael Steele (or George Bush) write their material FOR them.

Michael Steele has been very good for the party. . . .the Democratic party.
Richardgwm 2 years ago 6
That's how you do it on the right-if someone has some criticism of you, you don't consider it and try to improve, or explain yourself.
You just tell them to fuck off!
Otherwise you look like a pussy liberal, which is worse than anything, even incompetence.

they thought that they had their equivalent of obama, but what they failed to realize is that they have created a monster.

Michael, the Republicans already gave it to the American people, right in the a** FOOL..
Philinspaces 2 years ago 7
I'm sorry Mr. Steele, you represent the people. If you are telling the people to shut up, you're doing something wrong. But then again, I'm not a republican, maybe they want their elected leaders to tell them what to think.
I hope for everyone's sanity that they do fire you though.

@JurassicCock255 its not like the democrats are any better, americans don't have much choice in terms of elected officials, its just a barrel of jackasses vying to rob you
LeGioNoFZioN 2 years ago
It's the same in Canada
eatlotacheese 2 years ago
I agree
LeGioNoFZioN 2 years ago
Hey, Canadians at least have four parties, two major and two minor, with the minor parties capable of holding the balance of power and holding the major parties to account. They also have at least one province that's experimenting with the single transferrable ballot.
Four parties and a transferrable ballot? Sheesh...sounds like a utopian dream.

@JurassicCock255
Yeah, but you know Republicans aren't going to have another black head of the RNC for 100 years.
CalexanderJ 2 years ago 2
don't be so sure, Republicans did put in place the first black and the first black woman secretary of state as well as the first black chairman of the joint chiefs of staff

I'm loving watching his uncle tom ass make a fool out himself. I'm not saying obama and the democrats are any better cause they fuckin the country up big time, but the gop leader is making it more harder for the republicans to gain any momentum.
harlem0987 2 years ago
Yeah Obama fucked up the country when he was only 1 day in office!
Gotta give him credit though that he's able to fuck it up so fast. Must be some kind of record and we all know it's all Obama. Bush doesn't deserve any credit!
