Im proud to be German too, my grandfather was a german regular infantry soldier and I read his letters home. he could have been hanged for what he said about hitler, a lot of germans hated him. He was killed in 1944 leaving 6 kids behind, my mother being 5 years old.

It's called basic training. It is used to take you from a civilian life and turn you into a soldier. Every army does that. I had to do that also. I as an ex-soldier don't want to fight beside someone that can't follow orders. My life depends on you, and your life depends on me.
