Hello, thanks :-). I like these Golden age planes much. The same CMPro P-26 I had also. Now I have finished 100" wingspan Peashooter. GeeBee on video is equiped by std servos as Hitec 475BB. Engine is MVVS 35ccm gas (but 26ccm gas shold be also enough..) receiver PCM Futaba, 5 cells Sanyo..
Great lookin plane n vid - I hv a 1.20 CMPro P-26 n learnt all planes like these, with big cowls, hv to come in fast n not too steep in descent for landing or they will bounce, stall and .... hmmm - May i know what engine n servos (spec) U use ? Thanks !!
There are quite a number of Gee Bee variants, all original designs. This is the variant "Y", my favourite Gee Bee, which has a long slender fuselage. It can also be recognised by the bubbled cowl. It is a very nice model, and not out of scale. Perhaps you are thinking of the R1 variant?
no, its just that I didnt know that there are variants of the gee bee at all! i thought that the only version was the one with the short, stubby fuselage.
Well its a nice video nonetheless, can i ask you, i am about to get a gee bee y cant decide between the hobby lobby one and the pac aero, i have a bgx-1. the hobby lobby has pneumatics, just curious your opinion
As see on credits i have pac aero and i am very satisfied. All parts fits and flying characteristic are very wel. I have 86" one - without pneumatics - but never mind. This video is one of first flights - you see ground effect - GB wants permanently fly :-). It flies in large range of speeds.

this plane's fuselage seems too long to be a scale replica of the geebee... nevertheless, awesome video and airplane!

Great Plane! how fast was the construction? Was the manual any good?

It was ARF - so I spent two or days by finishing. Manual is OK.
