@7h3tSLDR02 its all good dude its good to ask questions les paul are great for that grizzly metal sound like zakk gets or slipknot, or most grizzly bands because of the style of wood that is used in its making which is mahogany wood, most other guitars like fender strats, and some jacksons or ibenezes are made outta ash wood or sumthin after that then comes the style of pickups and zakk uses those EMG 81/ 85s but I find that if your trying to get a much more powerful sizzle go forgibson 490/500s

@7h3tSLDR02 so many metal guitarists use les pauls. james hetfield, krik hammett, matt heafy, mark morton (in the studio anyway) etc. you can't go wrong with it. i'd suggest active emg's instead of stock pick ups. personally i prefer the 60/81 combo, but zakk's 81/85 set up is pretty sweet too.

@IWAN3259 slide down the G string with you strumming hand, as shown in the vid, and tap using your fretting handing also working your way down the fretboard.

Just tap with your fretting hand like you see in the vid and don't do anything with the strumming hand first. Get the jist of what it is your doing with the fretting hand, then instead of tapping using an open G string try sliding down the string from the top, whilst still tapping. Quite simple really.

@mrshotgun1234 You're right, but Zakk also said that he uses the ring because it'll produce weird effects. But you can do it only with your fingers. If you look closely, he's using the G string Hammer and pulling off on the 2nd, Open G and 4th frets while sliding his fingers lightly over the string. And the finger he uses has no ring. Hope this helps.

its been a while since i did this but from what i can remember i think he does like a trill and lightly runs a finger on his picking hand on the string similar to what you would do with natural harmonics.
