@JThomasU Well, what makes a sweet 16 so special and unique is that any girl can plan it the way they want. Having her as a flower girl, signifies that she is truly special to the Sweet Sixteener. No matter what age she is, anyone can be a flower girl in my opinion. I follow some traditional ways, but I also like to mix it up to bring my own taste and uniqueness into this special event.

@Abbybaby775 To be honest, its never too early to start planning. My advice is that you start a year before the day of your sweet sixteen. All the early planning pays off in the end because theres less stress ! :)

@Abbybaby775 You celebrate your Sweet 16 the month that your turn sixteen; even the year of is acceptable too. The most important part of it is to actualy make sure that your 16th birthday is celebrated :)

omg its soo cool that i came upon this video. i wanted to do my sweet 16 in point pleasant beach! questions: did the dresses nd suits work out w. the heat nd water? was it a good idea to go to the beach?

@Ninapluszarya To be honest, I was very hot the whole time. however, I did make sure that I brought my second dress which was much shorter and lighter to ease the heat. in the end, it did work out because the pictures came out fabulous - so it was definitely worth it =] . As for the guys, they ended up taking off their shoes and rollin gup their sleeves & pants. It was all very cool and beach looking :) if you have the opportunity, go for it ! Itll cerainly set you appart from everyone else.

@bgirlxoxo Yes,it was the summer of 2009 in June. It took 3 days to do it. We started on Wednesday going to New York to Rockefeller Center and Time Square, then on Thursday went the beach in Point Pleasant, NJ and friday in the afternoon we went to a park where you can see the skyline of New York after that, the limousine took them to the party. Yes, a lot of work! they were tired but happy. The best thing... the entire court were turning 16 that year!!!!

Well, she was not in the actual court but was a flower girl for Steph's Sweet 16. So, what will happen especially with Spanish Sweet 16's is that there is always a boy that carries in the shoes for the Sweet 16 Girl (which in this case is Steph's little brother) & he needs a partner (which is many times the flower girl or the one that carries the crown). Together, they are another special part of the ceremony. If you watch Stephanie's Sweet 16 Dance Part 4, you'll see what I'm talking about. =]
