  • Big deal. Obama makes $400,000.00 with $50,000.00 expense cash. He plans to retire with $7 million.

  • The debt when George W. Bush took office was $5.727 Trillion when he left it was $10.627 Trillion. The total debt that George W accumulated in eight years of office is $4.84 Trillion The debt right now is $14.23 Trillion. In approximately 788 days in office, Obama has accumulated $4.24 Trillion. Using simple algebra you'll find by Nov 24 2011, Obama will have accumulated more debt in three years than George W. did in 8 years.

  • i can take 6 seconds worth of video completely out of context and show you reports to make a point and discredit those who oppose my views as well.

  • Good Work

  • Great analysis!

  • Thank you! There is a perception in America the Republican's were responsible for eliminating the $5.6 trillion projected surplus when, in fact, any critical reading of the CBO report reveals the invalid CBO assumptions of a continuation of the dot-com boom, of massive foreign investment and of low defense spending led to the rosey projection. Then for Obama to ignore statements in the same report that we are going to be overwhelmed by debt from the retiring baby-boom generation is an outrage.

  • Obama maks $700.000.00 a year. Clinton makes $7.2million in retirement when regan had less than 2million in ritirement. The Deficit was only 1.2 trillion per year. Now it's 3.2trilllion per day. No jobs. No Trades. And less money for people 64 or older on Social Security Retirement. Fuck them when no money pays the bills. Regan did without you fucking hipocrit. Not them.

  • @reportcard2000 No! The projection assumptions were overturned by Bush's changes, namely un-paid-for tax cuts, two wars, and unpaid for Medicare Advantage -- a gift to the insurance companies. The warning by the CBO report of the overwhelming debt referred to the longer term. We are approaching the end of the 10 year period where we should have had that $5.6 trillion surplus to help us face the overwhelming deficits we would eventually face. The deficit we now have saved us from DEPRESSION.

  • @reportcard2000 This video is dishonest. Of course the surplus is based upon an assumption. An assumption that the Repubs and Bush would not mess up the economy. The warning of the retirement related deficit due in the longer run is cherry picked and presented as if it negates the projected $5.6 trillion surplus we should have had in the first 10 years. The video just plays that story over and over. This is known as propaganda and spin. As the Nazis would say: lies repeated enough become truth.

  • @Curiousviewer22 If you would take the time to educate yourself by reading the projection you will read the preparers of the projection make it clear the USA could return to deficits without any changes in President Clinton's policies. Therefore, for you to say the assumption in the report was for President Bush to continue the policies of President Clinton and thereby continue the surpluses is a pitiful attempt to propogandize the assumptions and conclusions of the CBO projection.

  • @reportcard2000 Yes, in the long run the USA could return to deficits because of baby boomer retirements and the end of the bulge of working people / retiree ration. The report refers to the longer run. But for the deficits run up by tax cuts and other actions I mentioned, and the near depression, we would have been entering this deficit period after a period of surplus. We would be in a much stronger position.

Reputable economists recognize the need for fiscal policy to avoid depression.

  • @Curiousviewer22 Once again, if you read the report you will read at the end of the Clinton administration the economy was in rapid decline and unemployment was on the increase (before Bush took office.) It is a fair debate on whether the tax cuts added to or reduced the deficits; however, there is no question the economy was in decline before Bush took office and the potential for a return to deficits without policy changes existed.

  • I see you did a little detective work.
