I vote for mp3ify to download this on MP3 - Its engine shows search results in an EASY format with AUDIO QUALITY RATINGS....just do a search engine lookup
I used FL Studio and some VSTi's. I know I used some from DSK, but I dunno what else I used. I will be updating this at some point, too. For an EP, but that won't be for awhile, I don't think I'm up to that quality quite yet.
@pichuscute0 great thanks =] is the software expensive or is there a demo available? you've inspired me a bit now =] I might need some help and pointers to get going if you don't mind cos yours is epic
There is a demo, but you can't save. The program was a few hundred to buy. I don't remember the exact price. I will help you with anything you want to know, just ask. I'm very happy with the program, btw, moreso than like Reason or something.
thank you, i have tried the demo and while the software is very good I am struggling to produce anything nearly as good as you. I have done a couple of basic tutorials that I found online but are there any books or anything you used to get to this level?
Also, is there a time limit on the demo? i know i cant save atm but im only practising while i save money for the real thing.
Have you any VSTi's yet? I usually don't use the presets, although Sytrus isn't bad. I have used or am using the DSK vsti's, z3ta+ (I absolutely love this thing and it's only $100), Massive, Absynth, and Nexus (not much anymore, mostly just for presets, which is pretty lame).
I also get many different sample packs from loopmasters, warbeats, and just googling. I recommend getting an amen pack, too, as they always come in handy.
Also, I got started with tutorials off warbeats (.com). I would definitely recommend watching them. I also looked for tutorials on youtube when warbeats was missing something. I think they were for more advanced -ish and specific things, though, such as sidechaining or breaks. As for books, I've read "The Mixing Engineer's Handbook" by Bobby Owsinski, which is pretty general and everything, but still helped me better picture what I wanted.
The demo doesn't have a time limit as far as I'm aware, although I did only use it for about a couple weeks.
It's also probably a good thing to know that I made this before I watched/read alot of the stuff I recommended. I went just on instinct and just messing with stuff mostly. What I'm saying is, none of this will help as much as just having fun and being inspired. I know this is true for me, atleast.
