  • Although weatherstripping is one alternative, why not find an insulation foam that has a negative carbon footprint? It will increase the R-factor and last longer.

  • If you really want to save big $ on heating. Look into new types of information and reflective foil. In order to keep warm inside you must keep the cold outside. = Thermal barriers from top to bottom. = Rigid foam boards, spray foam, and reflective alluminum foil.(to my knoledge ate this time) good luck all.

  • Nice attempt but not Practical. I've coverd my many windows in plastic shrink wrap for 3 years now. I don't want to ever do it again. It's time consuming and u can't open your windows when it gets warmer out. = Unpractical solution. Not to mention Radiant heat that cost u $ to make still goes out the window. Programable termastat? Y, have those too. Saves $ yes but takes forever to heat the house from cold if your main source of heat is electric.
