TV show pitch for "Tony fucking Wilson: The fucking Timelord". Episode - Pilot:
In the distant future, the year 1996, Tony Wilson is resurrected back to life with a lazer attached to his arm and sent to the past to help stop the impending Y2K armageddon further in the future and allow for copious plot holes and Mcguffins. His first mission is to sign The Smiths to Factory records so Johnny Mar never plays for shit bands like Modest Mouse. Can he do it? Can he save humanity?
@tampamike ur such a dumbass...Morrrissey is a huge New York Dolls fan (The gayest band ever?) and was key in getting them back together..as for this version, I'm guessing that the fact that the band is having some fun and being a little ironic with it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay above your (pin)head.
I used to own the VHS of this - it's still around somewhere, I'm sure. This is way back when Alain Whyte and Boz Boorer looked like Lenny and Squiggy from "Laverne & Shirley."

@wideheadofknowledge maybe you should change your name to wide head of crapolla.

@wideheadofknowledge Because not agreeing with you about something so insignificant makes someone a moron, obviously!
By the way, I really liked the video, but you're still kind of a petty jerk... I think I'd rather be a moron, frankly, if I had to choose.

I must say he does the song a favor by covering it, the song has WAY more life when he sings it as opposed to when the New York Dolls did....

I love Morrissey's voice but I so much prefer the original, he's really not suited to this music.
