@phorenon thank you so much for your video. i just changed my D string with your help. at the top the string doesnt look so well put as yours, though. but who cares? it works just fine. thank you again.
@dondd01 The same reason you don't want a cat doing your grocery shopping. I suppose I could have worn both gloves on one hand, but you know what they say about baking a potato in October. Thanks for watching my video.
@inzpectr You're right. It is a legitimate question. I suppose I'm the type of person that sometimes enjoys making "wise-ass" or "smart-ass" remarks, which is why, in "real life," I often say nothing at all. It seems to insult some people, and that is not my intention.
The fact of the matter is that I've already answered that particular question in a couple of my first comment replies, although I realize it is quite unlikely that @dondd01 could have known that.
Hey i have some issues the thing is when i try to respring my A-6 when i do the "knot" it does "close" completly so when i try to adjust it it makes it all "bunched" up together... Im really looking foward to spring my guitar but i cant because of that...
@DcKKs001 I'm not sure if I understand exactly what it is that's giving you trouble, particularly the part about the knot closing completely. I'm guessing you're referring to adjusting the E-6 string at the tuner and that it's bunching up as you wind up the string. If that's the problem, you need to guide the string as it winds around the capstan (rod) to make sure it doesn't get bunched up. Other than that and what's in the video, I'm afraid I can't be of more help.
wow ! thank you so so much for this fantastic tutorial and making it at just the right pace so you can bring your guitar right to the resource and do it right along with you. and i love that you are not speaking and simply showing. so great.
@Amacher2772 I suppose wearing gloves can help to protect the strings from any dirt, oil, or moisture that might be on your hands while restringing. I wore them to keep from transferring the smell of garlic I had at the time onto the strings. Perhaps I should have waited until the next day to make the video. Anyway, thanks for watching.
I got the exact same strings but my high e keeps coming off..
The tone won't go high enough and when I try to tune it it breaks or comes off. I've read about other people having this problem. Should I get other strings?
@BoyWithTheBlueShirt I'm no expert, but regarding the string breaking, make sure you take the tuning slowly. Ease into the correct tone over the course of a few hours to give the string time to stretch properly.
As for it coming off, if it's happening at the bridge, make sure the "cross" I show in the video is over the edge of the bridge.
Although I haven't had these problems, if other people have reported similar issues with this brand, do consider getting other strings.
I'm restringing a classical guitar for a friend. I bought EJ45 normal tension, but didn't realize they were silverplated. Is that a safe tension for most any classical guitar? I'm normally a steel string player and just want be sure...I guess I assumed all six strings would be nylon. I'd appreciate your advice, thanks!
@tonyvandelay Sorry it took me a week to respond, I've been busy with school. To answer your question, the EJ45 silverplated strings are just fine for any classical guitar. The silverplated strings are in fact nylon, they're just wound with metal. If you ever break one, you'll see the nylon filaments inside.
@qqq400qqq1 I had diced some garlic earlier for dinner and my hands were still very smelly, so I gloved up to protect the strings. I love garlic, but I could do without the smell it leaves behind. Thanks for the comment.

If you still need the help. Put a knot at the tip of the string. Had the same problem, surfed some forums, it said that it just slips off. :)
