  • @phorenon thank you so much for your video. i just changed my D string with your help. at the top the string doesnt look so well put as yours, though. but who cares? it works just fine. thank you again.

  • @AnnaSouleBlues Thank you for the nice comment. I'm glad my video is still helping people.

  • thank you!!!!gracias!!!!

  • @gastonzm De nada.

  • who cares if he uses gloves, this video helps !

  • why qare you wearing gloves???

  • @dondd01 The same reason you don't want a cat doing your grocery shopping. I suppose I could have worn both gloves on one hand, but you know what they say about baking a potato in October. Thanks for watching my video.

  • @Phorenon why the wise-ass answer regarding the gloves? it's a legitimate question.

  • @inzpectr You're right. It is a legitimate question. I suppose I'm the type of person that sometimes enjoys making "wise-ass" or "smart-ass" remarks, which is why, in "real life," I often say nothing at all. It seems to insult some people, and that is not my intention.

The fact of the matter is that I've already answered that particular question in a couple of my first comment replies, although I realize it is quite unlikely that @dondd01 could have known that.

    Live long and prosper.

  • thank you so much! this is very helpful. I changed my "G string" slowly and carefully ;)

  • @ejj6497 Haha, clever. And you're very welcome.

  • VERY helpful, thanks!

  • @elbuenpsicopata Gracias por el comentario, y de nada.

  • This video makes me feel like he's defusing a bomb.

  • Thanks so much, now I see the little things I`ve been doing wrong all these years.Great vid guy!

  • Hey i have some issues the thing is when i try to respring my A-6 when i do the "knot" it does "close" completly so when i try to adjust it it makes it all "bunched" up together... Im really looking foward to spring my guitar but i cant because of that...

  • @DcKKs001 I'm not sure if I understand exactly what it is that's giving you trouble, particularly the part about the knot closing completely. I'm guessing you're referring to adjusting the E-6 string at the tuner and that it's bunching up as you wind up the string. If that's the problem, you need to guide the string as it winds around the capstan (rod) to make sure it doesn't get bunched up. Other than that and what's in the video, I'm afraid I can't be of more help.

  • wow ! thank you so so much for this fantastic tutorial and making it at just the right pace so you can bring your guitar right to the resource and do it right along with you. and i love that you are not speaking and simply showing. so great.

  • @1itt1ed00d1e Thank you for the kind words, and you're very welcome.

  • Great song !!! who is playing

  • @durajistique Francesco Piu Trio.

  • What I'd really need to know is who performs that version of the "All Along the Watchtower".

  • @ConfidentialRumors The Francesco Piu Trio performs this version.

  • Perfect. Thank you.

  • @Trillian2000r Of course, you're welcome.

  • this is so straightforward and slow, that an idiot should get it right instantly. congratulations on creating a perfect tutorial.

  • @aleksandersucharski Your comment made me laugh. Thank you.

  • very good, well done =)

  • @zbuki2010 Thank you.

  • good

  • Year Great Lesson.

  • Great video lesson. Could you explain why you wear the rubber gloves. Does it help with something? Thanks for the vid and help!

  • @Amacher2772 I suppose wearing gloves can help to protect the strings from any dirt, oil, or moisture that might be on your hands while restringing. I wore them to keep from transferring the smell of garlic I had at the time onto the strings. Perhaps I should have waited until the next day to make the video. Anyway, thanks for watching.

  • @Muzzdog4 My pleasure.

  • Now i can string my guitar thank you, thats helped me:)

  • @MegaKabber I'm happy that my video has helped someone else. You're welcome.

  • I got the exact same strings but my high e keeps coming off..

The tone won't go high enough and when I try to tune it it breaks or comes off. I've read about other people having this problem. Should I get other strings?

  • @BoyWithTheBlueShirt I'm no expert, but regarding the string breaking, make sure you take the tuning slowly. Ease into the correct tone over the course of a few hours to give the string time to stretch properly.

As for it coming off, if it's happening at the bridge, make sure the "cross" I show in the video is over the edge of the bridge.

Although I haven't had these problems, if other people have reported similar issues with this brand, do consider getting other strings.

  • @BoyWithTheBlueShirt

If you still need the help. Put a knot at the tip of the string. Had the same problem, surfed some forums, it said that it just slips off. :)

  • you're the master!!

thanks to you now i can string my guitar!!!

  • @pingo57 You're very welcome.

  • Tried and successed! Tank you!!!!

  • @jy00061077 You're welcome. I'm glad it helped.

  • @josegus97 De nada. Espero que te haya ayudado. Les deseo mucha suerte con su música.

  • nicely done thanks.

  • I'm restringing a classical guitar for a friend. I bought EJ45 normal tension, but didn't realize they were silverplated. Is that a safe tension for most any classical guitar? I'm normally a steel string player and just want be sure...I guess I assumed all six strings would be nylon. I'd appreciate your advice, thanks!

  • @tonyvandelay Sorry it took me a week to respond, I've been busy with school. To answer your question, the EJ45 silverplated strings are just fine for any classical guitar. The silverplated strings are in fact nylon, they're just wound with metal. If you ever break one, you'll see the nylon filaments inside.

  • thanks bro this was real helpful, interesting version of 'all along the watchtower ' too.

  • @AppleFaction You're welcome. I agree, it is an interesting version of that song. Thanks for watching.

  • Good.. thanks..

    but why "Gloves"

your not in Operating room.. lol

  • @qqq400qqq1 I had diced some garlic earlier for dinner and my hands were still very smelly, so I gloved up to protect the strings. I love garlic, but I could do without the smell it leaves behind. Thanks for the comment.

  • Nice vid, fine job.

  • @ronnfranklin Thank you.
