The interviewer is a complete moron. How do you not know Alice has thankfully long been dry? Guessing the rest of the surviving band members has been too.
Alice just got in?After over 40yrs in rock, breaking boundries, and touring and making records non-stop since 1969?And The Freakin Clash got in years ago.For What? They were popular for like 2 fu.... years in the early 80s.What a joke.Joan Jett and Ted Nugent been active in rock since their teens.Ted since the 60s and Joan since 1975 with The Runaways 1st.She never stopped touring ,has her own record label,Hell she started at 16 and she's 52yrs old now.Whats up with this? The FAGGOT CLASH??
Wow I figured Alice Cooper would've been in there a long time ago. Of course I figured Emerson Lake and Palmer and Rush would've been an air a long time ago to. It might be interesting to note that Alice Cooper recently presented Rush with a living legends award in London England. And that's what they are living legends. Alice, Rush and ELP.
It took these schmucks at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame THIS Freakin' Long to induct the LIVING LEGEND Known as Alice Cooper? WTF!!! It just shows you have focked up the whole admission process is. Going by this BS rate,
Judas Priest will probably all be in wheelchairs accepting their induction & Ted Nugent may get in when he's 90.
For those too young to know, those three guys syaning behind Vince are the original band members of Alice Cooper, minus Glen Buxton who died several years ago. Very generous of him to invite them, he could have just used studio musicans.
ur one of the best songwriters EVER!!! ur my fave musician & u shud hav definitely been n the HOF b4 iggy!!! i rely like iggy; bt ther's no comparison on who's most talented. UR THE GREATEST OF ALL-TIME!!!!
I don't care for the stuff AC did after 1974 because it was all polished crap. The original band is what put that guy where he is today. I thing the name "Alice Cooper Group" is a slap in the face to the other members of that band. Wasn't the entire band known as Alice Cooper back in the late 60s-70s? They all shared that name though Muscles McNasal changed his name to AC. Now they are his "group"? Shit, who wrote the tunes? Not Alice. Read the credits on those albums.
@alwaysopen They were always the Alice Cooper Group, but everyone kept calling him Alice. That wasn't just his decision it was everyone elses too. Also, he did write some of the songs ans helped write some of the bands biggest tunes. Lastly, he kept the name Alice because everyone else said it was okay, he always says Alice is a diiferent person and talks about him in the 3rd in pretty much every interview he's done. Learn the facts before you open your mouth dumbass.
the band alice cooper was inducted. the BAND that created some of the best hard rock albums of all time (killer, love it to death, billion dollar babies, school's out)
Im so happy for them, but I must say Neal, Michael and Dennis looked a little irritated during this interview. Alice seemed to hog the spotlight and I think it bothered them. I love Alice, but give the rest of the guys a spot in the limelight, they need it more then he does.
This was at least 20 years overdue. Alice Cooper has been my favorite band since the mid-seventies, and for good reason. Also, they almost constantly tour, keeping a schedule baby bands of today cannot keep up with (except for a very few). Alice Cooper is a true rock force, and they've never compromised for anyone. Go Coop!
The one and only Alice Cooper Band, the original and the best, all the good stuff was done by this band and it is a credit to Alice for making sure the original group were inducted and not just him alone. Now for Marc Bolan!
Why didn't the interviewer let anyone else speak?!?!?! Fucking bullshit. I hear enough Alice interviews, I want them to interview Neal, Mike, and Dennis!!!
@LuneyTune72 Exactly what I was thinking. It's like the first question would be to all of them and when Alice answers the rest are asked of him too. But well, in the 70's Alice usually did the talking in interviews, so...
Alice is the man. He created the rock-show genre that influenced everyone from Kiss to Ozzy to Rob Zombie. At least Zombie owes up to it. Great songs, great guitar licks, great production. Alice rules forever.
They once cleared out a concert hall in around ten minutes, people hated them that much..Which is something concedering that they were opening for The Doors. How times have changed.
Long overdue induction into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. This band should have been inducted the first year the hall of fame opened. Too bad the bonehead interviewer didn't acknowledge Neal, Michael, and Dennis. I've been a fan of these guys since "Killer" came out in 1971. Great band.
so happy the band got inducted ... massively underrated artistically for their influence on theatrical rock, pop, glam, metal, punk, gold lame and hair length: critically underrated for the fine quality of their Warner albums and the energy and dynamics in the rhythm section .... R E S P E C T the Coop :)
@JaneDreamsOn I am really glad that Alice aknowledges the rest of the guys. I guess behind the scenes, especially later, he really did care about them. Alice was really good friends in the 70s with keith Moon, Mr. theatrical, albeit in a different way than Coop. Alice was also buddies with Groucho Marx. How cool is that?
Old time fan of Alice Cooper - not just Vincent Furnier - but the whole band: Dennis Dunaway, Michael Bruce, Neal Smith and Glen Buxton. Love it to Death was one of our garage band's faves. I'm runnin' through the world with a gun at my back, tryin' to hitch a ride in a cadillac, thought that I was livin' but you can't never tell, what I thought was heaven turned out to be hell. Caught in a Dream!
The Alice Cooper Group is one of the greatest rock bands ever to plug into an amplifier or more importantly, the consciousness of teenage rebellion. A well deserved induction for Alice along with Dennis Dunaway, Michael Bruce, Neal Smith and the late, great Glen "G.B." Buxton...
A sincere thank you to the band for being there when I needed you most...
@halenfanatic Oh, I thought it aired already. Okay, so, I guess I'll just wait and see if someone uploads stuff next week then. Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks for the correction. I've always been a fan of the original band. I meant the whole band, but I didn't acknowledge them in my comment. I apologize.
@Stucifer No apology necessary. It is a sad story that involves the loss Glen and Alice having to give up drinking. I love Alice, I really do but, I really love the band. These are truly talented men and they collectively made history. Alice's best albums were with the band. You should listen to the Dennis Dunaway Project album Bones From The Yard too. Great album.
finally, an Arizonan gets inducted! It's very fitting that he gets inducted only a few days after doing a charity event with other legends and people in the hall of fame such as Jackson Browne, Crosby, and Nash. He's not only creepy and cool, underneath the scary exterior is a caring heart, he even hosts radio shows every week
It would have been nice if neal smith, mike bruce, and, dennis dunnaway would have been allowed to say somthing
